Preamble: I have serious doubts about the point of this event, which serves no other purpose than to gloss over the mess that is the post-Krakoa Mutant storyline. I’ve already read almost all the tie-ins, which are generally rubbish apart from Amazing X-Men and Omega Kids. Not to mention that most of them are poorly written. All of which didn’t exactly inspire confidence.

But hey, once the wine’s poured, you’ve got to drink it. And this isn’t actually such bad wine.
The plot here really focuses on Revelation – who’s usually absent from the tie-ins – and a power struggle between him and his boss. It’s quite well written and the tension builds towards a confrontation that promises to be brutal. Nice cliffhanger at the end.
Not a fan of Netho Diaz, but that’s just a matter of taste.

" You're not scared you're Revelation"

Seen through the eyes of potential new Choirster
Elbecca Voss...we see the other side...from Revelations viewpoint and his reaction to a "shut it down" order from Apocalypse...and that's probably not going to end well..

Elbecca's straightforward, plainspoken "I want to get along"ness is entirely relatable, as is her confusion about the various deceptions and cruelties of the more experienced elders around her.

An excellent beginning for a new fish-out-of-water tale.

Good Ending To A Good Start

What a Revelation! I was quite surprised to find out who was the Ghost of Philadelphia. The art was also very good.

God this was such a boring read 😭 the Wiccan story felt so forced in the sense that Billy only did that because the writers know he’s too powerful to leave unchecked but it’s such lazy writing.

Ryan North came in with his story about Franklin and I wish it was longer and its own comic ngl. The two stars are for Ryan alone

So, this is good? I wish I had read this first, because this comic does more to establish the character of Revelation than the other Age of Revelation titles have. I'm still not sold on the relevance of this event, but this story gives me hope. That cliffhanger, too! I might give this whole event a chance if more issues were like this.
