Return to Planet Hulk #1 is a Marvel Comic issue written by Greg Pak, art by Carlo Pagulayan, and colors by Chris Sotomayor. It is cover dated Dec 2025.
Set during the Planet Hulk event, Hulk wonders which Sakaar prophecy is his future: The Sakaarson, who is destined to save the planet, or the Worldbreaker, the one who will destroy it!
Greg Pak returns to one of his seminal works to tell an original story set during that time. Unfortunately, it just isn’t terribly exciting. The Planet Hulk story is my all time favorite Hulk arc and one of my favorite Marvel storylines. You have probably seen the Sideshow Limited statue of The Green Scar in many of my pictures and it’s one of my most prized possessions in my collection. It was still fun revisiting this world and characters and I am curious to see what Marvel will do with the upcoming Planet She-Hulk arc.
A fun and very pretty issue that is reminiscent of the original but not an ultimately engaging addition. I am happy to have read it and get a little celebration with its 20th anniversary.
