I didn’t know how dangerous the woods could be until three wolf shifters saved my life. Now they want to claim me as theirs.
I came to Braysville for lumber for my business. What I found was blood, shadows, and teeth. Chased through the forest and injured beyond walking, I’m rescued by wolves and a mysterious man, and carried to a remote cabin nestled deep in the trees.
My mother always warned me about strangers. She never mentioned how tempting they'd be…
Nixon, Reed, and Finn are not just ordinary men. They can shift into wolves. And they say I’m their fated mate.
Nixon is dark and brooding, his sapphire eyes glinting with barely restrained hunger.
Reed is reckless and wild, with a mischievous grin and a rough touch that makes me crave things I shouldn’t.
And Finn? He’s quiet strength and fierce devotion, with hands that build beautiful things and a mouth that threatens to ruin me.
They say I can’t leave until the danger passes. But the possessive, predatory way they watch me makes me wonder if I’ve traded one threat for another.
But just when I begin to surrender to the primal bond between us, I find an abandoned wolf-shifter cub in the woods—a little miracle.
I was told I could never have children. Now I have three wolves who would die to protect me… and a baby girl who might just be mine to protect in return.
Leaving means breaking my own heart.
But staying? That means choosing all of them and surrendering to their claim.
Because if I walk away now to return to my life and family, I don’t just lose my mates, I lose her.
And there are those who would kill to see her erased for good.

We all grew up hearing about the girl in the red hood. She walked into the woods and met a monster. But what if the wolves weren’t just big, bad monsters? What if they were your fated mates? Taken by the Wolves is my spicy retelling of Red Riding Hood with a paranormal twist. Scarlet isn’t just running from danger... She's running into the arms of three shifters who will show her what it means to be chosen, protected, and utterly claimed. This book has: 🐺 three broody shifters with soft hearts 🧃 Reverse harem with paranormal heat 💼 A foundling child that brings them all together 🌸 Emotional healing AND feral possessiveness If you're ready for a fairytale that bites back, this one’s for you.
Blackwood Forest strikes again with wolves this time. Scarlett is looking for wood and she finds it and so much more in the form of 3 brothers who happen to be wolves.
This wasn’t my first wolf shifter RH book, but it’s the best I’ve read so far. The pack dynamics are different, no OV aspects (no hate but isn’t my jam).
I don’t know how the author does it- being able to write multiple mmc’s like she does consistently. There’s a balance that needs to be met for it to be good (imo) and she nails it.
Speaking of being nailed, the spice is Top Tier. Nothing crazy except for the fact that it’s 3 brothers at the same time. Just smoking hot description that flows like honey. 🍯
The subplot was interesting and mysterious.
I am very much looking forward to the dragons book next!
Excellent!! I absolutely loved this book! Stephanie has done it again with her paranormal romance novels. I loved the 1st book in this series about the bear shifters. And I couldn't wait for this 2nd book to come out. So darn good. This book was exciting, romantic and sexy. A great story. MC's hit it off right from the beginning. 3 hot wolf shifter brothers find FMC in the woods running from her attacker. MMC's know as soon as they scent her, FMC, she's their fated mate. So much love and excitement throughout the whole book.
Action in all departments and I mean ALL. Fights, drama, shocks and of course the Sex scenes. 😂 Can't beat a good sex scene but with more than 1, phew bring it on... 😁🤣😇
As someone who avidly reads shifter romances, specifically werewolf shifters, I must confess I approached this book with a mix of excitement and trepidation. Stephanie's mastery of the steamy scenes and emotional buildup is spot on. What I probably have some eyebrow-raising moments with is how she approached the mate bond. I'm not saying it is wrong, just that it isn't lore. For one thing, in her version, there are no female shifters. All female mates are human, and any female offspring are also human.
I also don't quite get how Nixon, Reed, and Finn can call themselves a stand-alone pack with just the three of them and then later increase their numbers through their mate. Were they thrown out of their original pack? Did they leave? If they didn't, then wouldn't that make them rogues?
It's honestly the only confusion for me, in the story ... the fact that it does not follow established lore. That aside. I found the story engaging and Scarlet a very relatable character. I also loved knowing that the Moon Goddess or fate had a pretty heavy hand in bringing Scarlett to Bayville and into their lives.
Scarlet is a furniture builder stopping in a small mountain town to source lumber when she's attacked by a man. Suddenly, two wolves rescue her and a man emerges to help her to safety. At their cabin, they care for her while she recovers from her injuries. She doesn't know something the men do - they are wolves, and she's their fated mate.
This was quite the adventure and truly unexpected. Each of the guys were so caring towards Scarlet, and I enjoyed their growing connection. There was a lot of action, mystery, and magic involved which was surprising but entertaining to read. The wider universe of bear shifters, rogue enemies, and the possibility of dragons kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. I'm looking forward to reading more!
I recommend this if you enjoy protective MMCs, strong and fierce FMCs, and magical mystery with plenty of spice.
I absolutely loved this book, I was completely mesmerised by the storyline. I was blown away with the shifter aspect, as the books I’ve previously read from this author were more contemporary romance based. The shifter brother, Finn with his carpenter hands and the way he takes pride in his work. Nixon loves to be in control and Reed is the flirt of the group. The FMC Scarlet had her walls built very high, but the guys slowly chip away. The banter between them is electric! I enjoyed the prolonged courting, then the steamy scenes were hot AF and oh so very detailed. The mystery and intrigue had me in the edge of my chair, add in the action - perfection! The detail and emotion in the storyline had me almost in tears in parts and then white knuckling my kindle in other parts. The ending was utterly beautiful. This is definitely your genre, I can’t wait for book 3 of this series.
I discovered Stephanie Brother when I read her first Screaming Eagles book about 2 years ago. I have since read every book of her I could get my hands on. I love her writing. So when I say I think this is her best book yet, I am really saying something. Scarlet goes to a small town in the woods to see about getting some lumber for the furniture she makes. While there she is attacked by a foul man from a bar. She is rescued by Nixon and his 2 brothers, Reed and Finn. What follows is a story of love and adventure filled with all kinds of action. We get rogue wolves and bears. A broken woman, a beautiful baby, an awesome heroine and brave heroes! I loved every single thing about this book and I cannot wait for the next one! Soooooo good!
I am fairly new to reading paranormal romance and werewolves, but I absolutely loved this!
It is a spicy read, with three very hot men / wolves and a bit of a spicy twist on Red Riding Hood. The book has family at its core, ultimately, and shows how found family can be stronger than blood.
I found this book a fast read, as I could not put it down. There is plenty of heat and spice, with nail biting action too. As with other books by Stephanie, it Aldo’s allows you to catch up with Goldie and her men, while also setting up the next book which I cannot wait to read!
I think Taken By The Wolves has become one of my favourite books this year and I know it is one I will be reading over and over.
This book follows Scarlett, a furniture builder who goes to a small town to source some lumber for her next projects. However, she ends up in the woods and needing saving. Enter Nixon, Finn, and Reed wolf shifters that rescue her from danger. Taking her back to their cabin they sense that she is their fated mate and do everything they can to make her feel safe and cared for after her scare. When they find a baby, the mystery and danger increases. Finding out the secrets behind the baby's appearance and past brings more danger and also a collaboration with the bear shifters. I normally do not read paranormal books, but when they are by Stephanie I give them a try and this one did not disappoint!
Scarlet finds herself taken in by three huge men after she’s attacked in the woods. Nixon, Reed and Finn are brothers who run a lumber mill. These men aren’t just human, they’re wolves. When they scent Scarlet, they realize she’s their mate…their destiny, but she doesn’t know they’re wolves. After finding a changeling baby, Scarlet’s eyes are opened and soon her world will change forever. It’s a well-written fairy tale that brings out emotions, steam and a wonderful world where shifters are a part of our everyday lives. There’s a war brewing and the changeling baby Scarlet found is at it’s center, but Scarlet has already bonded with this baby girl and no one will take her from her new pack family.
Scarlet and her 3 Big Bad Wolves Nixon, Finn and Reed.
This book follows the wolves of Blackwood Forest and brings back some familiar characters of Goldie and her bears. This book was so sweet and I absolutely loved the addition of the baby Ahya. She was the perfect addition and fit in so well with Scarlet. They truly look like mother and daughter. I also enjoyed how we got to see some of the other characters from the past and how they were able to work together to defeat the common enemies and also become their own clan of bears and wolves. Cannot wait for the next book. Highly recommend this one.
This is the second book in the series, and in this story, we are introduced to Scarlet, who is a human and is rescued by Nixon, Reed & Finn who are wolf shifters and know that Scarlet is their fated mate. I loved the dynamics between the characters and the care and love that the men show towards Scarlet. Like every book that this Author writes the characters come alive on the page and the story flows really well and if you love this type of story, then I highly recommend you read this series. There is a happy ending for all involved.
I was given an advanced copy of this book to read and I am reviewing with my honest and fair opinion.
As a huge fan of The Screaming Eagles as well as Outlaws, I trusted Stephanie to introduce me to my first shifter based reverse harem and boy was I correct in allowing her to do so. Best choice ever.
I am obsessed with all of her work and enjoy her writing style as well as her unique characters. Scarlet is one of my favorite FMCs I’ve read and Reed owns my heart. I loved the adventure (especially the action scenes).
It was a privilege to receive an advance copy of this awesome story.
All I can say is that I’m not so patiently waiting for her next book.
Taken by the Wolves is the 2nd book in The Blackwood Forest series but its the first book that I've gotten my hands on. After reading this book I will be getting my hands on the 1st book too soon. Scarlet is in Braysville looking for wood for her business when an event lands her in a cabin in the woods. Owned by 3 Wolves - Nixon, Reed & Finn who are all willing to help her and determind to not let her leave. Some good plot twists & turns and plenty of steam. Plus some characters from the 1st book popped up in this book too. A great read.
Scarlett comes to a small town to source some wood for her business, but what she finds (besides the wood) is life-changing! Friendship, Love, and fierce protection are just the start. Nixon, Reed, and Finn are brothers and wolves who rescue her from a would-be attacker, and come to realize that Fate brought them all together. They just have to convince Scarlett first! Many sexy times bring them together, and this really was a great read!
Taken By the Wolves, book 2 of the Blackwood Forest series by Stephanie Brother @stephaniebrotherbooks.
This was such a great book about Scarlet, Nixon, Reed & Finn! Tropes: Contemporary, Paranormal (Wolf Shifters), Reverse Harem Without MM, Brothers, Fated Mates, Rescued Baby Shifter, Bridge Between Wolves, Bears & Magic, Found Family & HEA!
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book. The second one in the series has Scarlet literally falling into the hands of three gorgeous men - saving her from a dangerous situation. Never did she think, she’ll never be leaving their cabin but falling for them. A great story that has lots of potential and suspense.
This book was really great. I usually don’t enjoy shifter romances but this one I loved! There was an amazing plot with suspense, danger, drama, steamy spice and unconditional love. The way these three men loved every part of her was amazing. And she accepted them and knew what each one needed individually to feel loved. It was a captivating story and I can’t wait for the next one!
Absolutely loved this book. Stephanie has managed to make wolves and bears into a cohesive group to battle for the life of a small baby. This book has all the tension of dealing with wolves and their quest to find their mate, who happens to be human. I am excited about the next book, but disappointed that it will not be here until next year.
I am pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed this book. I was nervous after reading the first in the series, but I think the time between reading the first and this one, I had a little bit more experience of what reading a shifter romance would be like. The whole breeding kink vibe was a bit of a turn-off. Just not for me. Though, I loved the little mentions to the original fairytale.
I'm really enjoying Stephanie's paranormal books. The storyline was captivating and I liked each of the main characters. There was drama, mystery, action, and some suspense. I loved how the relationship developed between Scarlet and her wolves.
This book is definitely different from the usual book from this author as she normally writes steamy romance. This is a paranormal romance but still has Stephanie magic touch to it. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
Scarlett was told by her mother to never trust strange men. when she attacked and rescued by 2 wolves and a man takes her to his cabin to heal . The three brothers who are wolves know she is their mate and set out to win her heart . this story was so good I cant wait til the next one
I was so used to the MC series by Stephanie that I wasn't so sure about this book at first. By chapter three, I couldn't stop reading! Can't wait to read the next in this series!
Such a surprising story. It was so fun to read. It feels very complete. And there are relationships built that may not be normal but are full of friendship and love.
