This was such an amazing book, I have no words, I loved it so much!!!
It was emotional, filled with vulnerability, found family and two people who deserved the world and were absolutely perfect for each other.

Olivia always had a plan for her life, but that plan didn't include the gorgeous and mysterious fire chief Asher Reed. He's been protective over her since the day he met her, but he always stayed away, until a weak moment at the wedding made them both stop fighting the connection they feel. It was supposed to be an one-time thing, but an unexpected pregnancy is about to change everything. Now they committed to being just friends and co-parents, they have a pact, but they are about to cross all their boundaries.. His past holds dark secrets though, secrets that may destroy them..

I loved Asher so much, he deserved so much better, his past and the way he felt he didn't deserve all the good things in his life broke my heart. Seeing him open up to his Livi girl was so special, as was their bond. He did everything for her and their little bear and the way she brought light in his life made me so emotional.
Liv was such a ray of sunshine, always clumsy and overthinking, always there for everyone. I loved seeing her be treated right, how settled she felt with Asher, how loved. I absolutely adored her.
Also, I really loved her parents, they were so amazing and supportive and it made me so happy seeing how they accepted Asher.

They were so perfect together. I loved the way they were with each other, how he always protected her, how he made sure she was happy, how she made him more comfortable to open up, how she brightened his life. They were a team, since the very beginning, they grew together and supported one another. I have to say, while accidental pregnancy isn't a trope I generally enjoy, I absolutely loved it here. I feel it was necessary for their story, there were things he needed to overcome, demons he needed to conquer and them having something so special, something they both wanted, gave them an opportunity to connect deeper. It made their story so much more special. All the little things he would do for her, the things he made for her as gifts, the box and the olive wood, made me cry a little.. Those were such wonderful moments, I honestly don't know how to explain the amount of joy I felt reading it. I also cried far too many times, this story carried a lot more depth than I was expecting and that moment near the end made me incredibly emotional.

"𝓨𝓸𝓾 𝓪𝓷𝓭 𝓶𝓮, 𝔂𝓮𝓪𝓱?"

The spicy scenes were also really good, I did enjoyed them and while I don't exactly like certain nicknames, I loved these two far too much to care about any of that here. There was quite a few of them though and I know that isn't everyones preference, so be warned.

I know I didn't read the first three books, a mistake I'm going to rectify immediately, but I can still say, without a doubt, this is my favourite book in the series!!
*And now that I've read them all, I still stand behind that statement.*

I loved the found family they created, how close they were and the way they were always there for each other, especially the way Nash was there for Asher. And I, of course, absolutely adored the girls, they are such an amazing group!!
I also loved seeing Cassie and Haden again, I have a special attachment to them, as their book was the first one I read.

This was such a great ending and I can't wait for the next series.
Paisley Hope has really climbed to the top of my favourite writers, I absolutely adore the way she writes!!

*Thank you to Netgalley and to Random House UK, Cornerstone for providing me with an ARC.*

I was hovering somewhere between 3.5 and 4 stars, so let’s just leave it in that chaotic little limbo 😅😂

First, let’s address the thing that absolutely sabotaged my rating.
And no, before anyone jumps me, it is NOT the trope.
Yes, I am a certified unexpected pregnancy hater, but somehow that wasn’t even the biggest crime committed here.

No
It was the pet name.
The pet name our MMC gave the FMC.
Let me say it slowly:

Kitten.

Again.

Kitten.

I’m so sorry to everyone who eats that up, but for me? Every single time he said it, a small part of my soul left my body. It gave me the overwhelming urge to close my Kindle, throw it across the room, and stare at the wall in silence.

BUT.

And does anyone know how to turn on the word count on Kindle?
Because the phrase “aching cock” is literally all that’s occupying my brain right now.
Like I swear if I highlighted every time that phrase showed up, my entire screen would be glowing.

Still, I pushed through.
Because unfortunately… the rest of what came out of that man’s mouth?
Absolutely criminal.
Life-changing.
Need to be studied in a lab.

And trust me, we will be dedicating a whole section to Chief Reed’s mouth later because that man deserves his own review.

Now let’s talk about the trope.

Listen.
I knew what I was signing up for. I walked into this fully aware that this woman was about to get pregnant at some point. I braced myself. I lit a candle. I prepared emotionally.
So for the majority of the book, I simply decided to pretend she wasn’t pregnant. Delusion is sometimes necessary for survival. For some scenes, this worked beautifully. For others… absolutely not.
The labor scene, for example?
Yeah no, there was no amount of denial that was going to help me there.

But what really got me is that I feel like they barely had time to even BREATHE around each other before boom — pregnancy. And that’s what annoys me the most with this trope.

Because the chemistry was THERE.

The tension from the previous four books? Insane.
You could literally feel it simmering. And I was so ready for us to sit in that tension a little longer. Give me the longing. Give me the yearning. Give me the “one bed but nothing happens yet.”

Instead, she gets pregnant almost immediately and suddenly all my carefully crafted hopes and dreams are launched directly out the nearest window.

Because then the question keeps haunting me: Would they still have found their way to each other without the pregnancy and the baby?

Don’t get me wrong, later on you definitely feel the lust evolving into something deeper. The love development is there. But that what if lingers in the back of my mind the whole time. And that’s exactly why I usually can’t stand this trope.

Olivia?
Cute. Sweet. Perfectly fine. But also… she is basically every FMC in this type of book ever. Like girl I support you, but I cannot tell you one singular unique thing about you....

HOWEVER.
NONE OF THAT MATTERS.
Because now we need to talk about the real star of this book.

ASHER. MF. REED.

HELLO??????
CHIEF REED??????
SIR??????
WHY ARE YOU TALKING LIKE THAT??????

“Does this smart little mouth ever fucking stop running, Liv? Maybe you need something to fill it, hmm?”

EXCUSE ME?????????

“I promise you, no one in this fucking building is safe if they get in the way of me burying my cock inside you right now, Olivia. Which means you will be quiet for me. You’ll be my perfect, silent little slut. Got it?”

I’M SORRY?????
WHO SAID YOU COULD TALK TO ME LIKE THIS?????

“If you need a man to touch you”—his eyes drop to my lips—“you understand that man is me.” I nod, unable to speak. “And it’s time to delete that fucking app, is that clear?”

SIR.
SIRRRRRRR.
I AM LOOKING RESPECTFULLY AND ALSO NOT RESPECTFULLY.
And the “delete that fucking app” line???
OH HE WAS POSSESSIVE POSSESSIVE.

Do you need more?
DO YOU NEED MORE???
Because I personally did not recover.

If you are going to read this book, do it for Asher mf Reed.

That man single-handedly carried this rating on his broad, filthy-talking shoulders.

And finally, an honourable mention to Cat Dick — you have my whole heart with your tiny little page time. Truly the unexpected star of this book.
Appeared too little, loved too much.

”But I know now, without any doubt, that every single broken piece of me belongs to her.”

i was looking forward to getting Olivia and Asher’s book, there had always been the question of what would finally push them past just their lingering glances and his indirect protectiveness. unfortunately for me, the thing that brought them together was the “accidental pregnancy” trope. sometimes i can look past this, but here it made their romance feel less earned because both of the characters had barely spoken to each other before this. i did love the cat though and Asher’s definitely got a filthy way of getting his point across.

”What I’m trying to say, Ash, is that I finally feel settled with you. I know now that I’m where I’m supposed to be.”

i will say, it was a relief to see how Asher reacted to Olivia being pregnant and the way he was so easily willing to be involved in every way regardless. i found Olivia to be flat as cardboard though, there wasn’t much to her personality besides feeling like she was the odd woman out. if anything, the book focuses more on Asher and his whole “secret identity” which felt so random in comparison to how the rest of the series has been. i really didn’t like that side of the story and it kept pulling me out of every thing. there were some cute moments, especially towards the end but this wasn’t the most satisfying goodbye to the Silver Pines Ranch.

many thanks to NetGalley, the author and Ballantine for the arc, all opinions are my own.

All the stars in the fucking universe!😭 this was everything I wanted in a small town romance and more! I was invested from the first page literally! I'm so glad I stuck with this series, this author has grown on me so much since the first book! Asher and Olivia are my new favourite book couple❤️‍🩹 the love I have for these two characters is just 🥹!! Honestly no notes this book was perfection from start to end I could genuinely read another 400 pages of them😭 the plot pacing, the back story even the sumt was well done - I always say smut with emotional depth is a bit of me lol - I will definitely be reading everything this author puts out, come to think of it I can't wait to start her other series!

Plot Summary
Olivia Sutton leads a comfortable, predictable life in Laurel Creek, running her boutique and keeping her heart well guarded, despite quietly craving something a bit more exciting. When a fire leaves her without a home, the town’s reserved fire chief, Asher Reed, steps in to help, and the two find themselves growing unexpectedly close. After an accidental pregnancy complicates things, they try to remain just friends, but the attraction between them only intensifies. Just as Olivia begins to think Asher could be exactly what she’s been looking for, secrets from their pasts come to light, threatening to put an end to things before they’ve properly begun.

*3.5 - Someone call Fire Chief Asher Reed because this fire is spreading 🔥🚒

This was probably my least favourite story in the series, but Asher was one of my favourite MMCs. So protective and so filthy, the mouth on this man had me burning up 🥵

This was THE book of the series.
And it was so much different than the first four.
A little bit of a darker mystery aspect to it.

Asher, the bartender we’ve met before who’s also the fire chief. With the Irish accent. Tattoos and built like a giant.
And dirty.

Last girl in the gang: Olivia
Clothing store owner. Red headed sweetheart.
Clumsy.

And surprise pregnancy trope!
I loved it. Done so well.

A fire. Forced proximity.
So much goodness.
I loved these two together.

And I feel like we met cameos for her next potential series 🤗🎉

Wdym this is the final book? I am in disbelief; it feels so bittersweet. Ms. Paisley really added all the concoctions and delivered us a blazing love story with a little bit of darker elements, not touching too much into it, just enough to make it a bit suspenseful and emotionally impactful.

Olivia is very independent & refuses to ask for help, puts others' needs before hers, but doesn’t realize Asher the king of “acts of service”, matches her energy.  I’m obsessed. Olivia is also clumsy, which makes it all the more relatable, a walking hazard, & he’s just there ready to steady her 🥹♥️

Asher Reed, hot firefighter chief, mysterious, broody, & somehow always nearby Olivia. The type with very few words, but his actions spoke volumes. The way he’s only soft for her? Heart eyes again. That man is so swoon-worthy; he’s attentive, protective, & caring - well, here goes another cardiac arrest. His backstory helps us understand him better, adding even more depth and darkness to his personality. You can’t help but want the best for him, and Olivia was his beacon of light.

The accidental pregnancy? Revealed some deep hidden truths. The little friendship pact they made? Sent me all the more into yearning territory. The banter was delicious.

Every interaction didn’t feel forced, or insta lusty. Taking their time to get to know each other more. PLUS we get some hints of their chemistry in the previous books.

I highlighted an insane amount, which proved this one really hit me right in the chest- I got teary eyed.

The spice? Let me tell you, Daddy Asher packed the heat, showing some dom and praise kinks- I WAS BLUSHING SHEESH🥵

I recommend for those who love some dark romance and want to dabble into small town/contemporary. You want a bit dark, broody, stalker-ish, and possessive in your MMC, but with a soft side? Asher Reed is the one.

CTF being the series finale, it really provided all the closure we needed. The Found family in this remains to be top tier, filling us with unconditional love & advice. You can’t help but feel welcomed into Silver Pines.

Thank you to the author, NetGalley, & Ballentine for the ARC.

The final book didn’t disappoint. I really enjoyed the story of the town’s mysterious, distant fire chief and the clumsy “sunshine” girl.

Asher has a dangerously alluring charm, but he’s emotionally closed off. Olivia, on the other hand, is a romantic who longs to feel a sense of belonging and wholeness. While everyone else is moving forward, she feels a little left behind and alone. However, during a time when everything is going wrong, she finds herself on a path with Asher. Behind his tough and protective demeanor, Asher is actually a caring and supportive man for Olivia.

Honestly, I didn’t expect everything to go this smoothly, but it was beautiful to read about them falling in love and becoming a family. Saying goodbye to Silver Pines is sad. I loved all the characters and this found family.🥹

Through all the change, the love remains as steady as the silver pine trees swaying in the breeze. Ours is a place where food, dancing, and cookouts are practically religion. In this big white house overlooking the craggy peaks of Sugarland Mountain, there’s a solemn promise. Love is abundant, advice is always free, everyone is family, and the porch light is always on.

Accidental pregnancy is not usually a trope a reach for even if it’s done this well. I love the Silver Pines fam, I love the Ashby’s and their strong family ties. This last book was definitely bittersweet and I am not ready to say goodbye yet!

Olivia is watching her friends find happiness and move into the next stage of their lives with weddings and babies while she feels stuck. A successful business owner, she still feels left behind as she plays the dutiful friend to her besties.

Asher, the town fire chief, is troubled by a dark and difficult past. He doesn’t know if he’s capable of committing to someone and being someone’s other half.

After a one night stand and an accidental pregnancy, Asher and Olivia do their best to be supportive and committed co-parents. After vowing to support each other, it becomes quite clear that they can’t keep their hands off each other and their relationship will be evolving.

I’m so sad this series was over. It was so fun and I loved every couple from start to finish.

Thank you NetGalley & Ballantine | Dell Romance for the ARC of one of my most anticipated releases of 2026!
This was fun and exactly everything I hoped it would be!
A light, sweet contemporary romance with just the right amount of heat, heart, and small-town charm. Olivia is such an easy heroine to root for, and Asher? Grumpy, controlled firefighter with a soft spot only for her, yes please!!
The chemistry was there from the start, the accidental pregnancy trope was handled with care, and the story stayed cozy and comforting while still delivering emotional moments.

If you’ve loved the previous books in this series, you’ll absolutely love this one too. Perfect for when you want something swoony, low-stress, and satisfying!

This one was a 5⭐️ read from me, straight off the bat, by 20% I knew this was going to be a five star and boy did Paisley Hope smash this one out the park!

ASHER FUCKING REED. Asher Reed, the name of my new favourite book boyfriend! This is the perfect close proximity, friends to lovers with a surprise pregnancy and it is done to perfection. With no third act break up this one was an easy 5⭐️s

Asher is the mysterious bad boy who is so misunderstood, I enjoyed reading about his past and what makes him, him. His character development was amazing and deep down I always knew Asher was cracker of a man and I knew he would adore Olivia! Olivia is the cutest, sweetest girl who deserves the whole world and more, Asher and Olivia both do! They worked perfectly together and the plot was perfection! I am very sad to be leaving the Silver Pines Ranch series but soooo excited to read all of Paisley's future books! 📚

Silver Pines Forever♥️🥰

Chasing the Fire by Paisley
5⭐️ | 4🌶️ | 5🎧

Paisley is easily in my top five favorite authors, and Chasing the Fire is exactly why. Her writing is so effortlessly beautiful, the kind that wraps around you and refuses to let go. These characters feel real, and by the end, you’re not ready to say goodbye.

She never gives us easy love, and that’s what makes it hit so much harder. Watching the MMC and FMC earn their relationship makes every moment feel deeper and more meaningful.

Asher… whew. He is the quintessential small-town MMC. Mysterious, brooding, handsome—but it’s his care and compassion that make him unforgettable. There’s something almost mesmerizing about the way he loves, how attentive and protective he is without ever losing that softness underneath. He doesn’t just love, he shows up—and that makes you root for him every step of the way.

And Olivia—Liv is just trying to make something good out of a life that hasn’t always been kind to her. She’s resilient, genuine, and so easy to love.

Watching Asher and Liv grow into becoming parents was such a beautiful journey. It doesn’t happen all at once, and that’s what made it feel so real. You get to see them learn, struggle, and grow into it together, and it added such a heartfelt, emotional depth to their story.

Together, they were everything.

And I have to give a huge shoutout to the narrators, Stella Hunter and Connor Crais—absolute perfection. The voice acting was next level, bringing such depth and raw emotion to the story. They didn’t just narrate it, they performed it, and it elevated the entire experience.

Also, one of my favorite little details—Paisley’s music choices are always fire. I love pulling up the songs as I read (especially when they’re new to me), and it adds such an extra layer to the experience. It’s a small touch, but it makes the story feel even more alive.

It’s such a beautiful story. I literally just finished it and already want to reread it—which never happens to me. That’s how you know it’s something special.

More than anything, this series makes me feel. Big, overwhelming, human emotions that linger long after the last page. I can’t recommend this book (and this man 😮‍🔥) enough.

Until the next one, Paisley ♥️🔥

What a bittersweet ending🥺 I’m so sad to be saying goodbye to Silver Pines, like I’m really not ready to let this world go but here we are 🥲 it’s been such a comfort series and this felt like the perfect (but painful) send off.

This one follows Olivia and Asher, and from the very beginning the chemistry between them was insane, like you could feel it through the pages 🔥 Asher being a firefighter?? And riding a motorbike?? I mean, say less 👀 he had that whole broody, slightly guarded vibe going on which I ate up, but I can’t lie, his backstory was definitely on the darker side. I just wish we got a little bit more from it because it felt like there was so much depth there that we only just scratched the surface of.

Olivia on the other hand was such a fun character 😭 she’s chaotic in the best way, I mean, the girl literally burns her house down at the start. If that doesn’t tell you everything you need to know then I don’t know what will 💀 but underneath that clumsiness she had such a big heart and I loved watching her grow throughout the story. The dynamic between her and Asher just worked so well, it felt natural but still full of tension and emotion.

And the spice?? Yeah..there’s a lot of it 🌶️ some scenes were VERY steamy and definitely added to that intensity between them. It didn’t feel out of place though, it just fit their connection and how drawn they were to each other.

One of my favourite things about this though was the found family element 🥹 the whole small town Silver Pines vibe just makes everything feel so much more special. Everyone knows everyone, people show up for each other no matter what, and you really feel that sense of community throughout the story.

I’m honestly going to miss this series so much 💔 it’s one of those that just sticks with you, characters and all.

How in the heck are we here at the final installment in the Silver Pines Ranch!! It’s so bitter sweet, as I have followed Paisley since her debut of Holding the Reins and now we are closing out the series!!! She’s truly an amazing author and I have absolutely fallen in love with her words and the worlds she creates.

While the surprise pregnancy trope and stories aren’t my favorite, with Paisley's writing style, this one was absolutely done right. This was such a heartwarming story, that it didn't feel rushed.

Asher Reed and Olivia were HOT, and while they are from very different upbringings, they were just absolutely perfect together. While they are complete opposites with some fun banter between these two, seeing them grow together was just like a warm hug. Asher doting on Olivia, and Olivia pushing his buttons, it was just so darn cute but so funny. They were just the perfect balance that brought out the best in each other.

If you’re a fan of acts of service, like I am, then you will absolutely eat up Asher. This story was just a fun vibe, with a bit of dark themes and elements surrounding the mystery of Asher and his past.

While I am so sad to say goodbye to Silver Pines Ranch, I’m so excited to see what Paisley has in store next!!

Thanks to Paisley and Books and Bloom PR for the ARC of Chasing the Fire.

🤰 Accidental Pregnancy

😭 Series finale

I’m writing this with tears in my eyes. This book was absolutely incredible. I don’t even have words to describe how good it was and being the last book in a series, what a send off it was. Sorry Nash and CeCe but these two and their story has taken first place 🥇👀🫣😙

Paisley has well and truely done it again and I couldn’t be happier. This series means so much to me and I’ve been here since the very beginning so watching this series grow into what it has, I just couldn’t be prouder of what Paisley has successfully achieved with this series. The way Paisley had me hooked from the very beginning and had me struggling to put it down…big for me since I don’t often binge books.

Asher oh my god. What a MAN he is. Seriously this man went through it and there’s just something about a broken man that has me weak in the knees. When Asher’s past was revealed in flashbacks I actually cried for him, everything he went through just crushed me but i’m so happy he got out and look where he ended up! Olivia and baby bear 🐻 saved him, the accidental pregnancy trope was perfection for them.

The chemistry between Asher and Olivia was instant and hot af. After seeing them teased at the end of the last book I was soooo excited for these two and they didn’t disappoint. I seriously have no flaws with this book, their relationship was everything and what Asher did for Olivia had me melting. I loved Olivia’s growth and what a beautiful mother she became 🥹 The birth scene!!! 😭👏🏼🥲🥹

Seeing the other character be involved in this book heaps made my cup full and me so happy. It was so amazing seeing everyone grow and all the kids 😭🥲 What a found family!!

Thankyou Paisley for writing my comfort series. I truely can’t put into words how much these characters and world means to me. Thankyou for trusting me and inviting me into your space when you were just a baby indie author. What a journey it’s been, I love you and can’t wait for what you have planned for us next. Silver Pines forever ♾️

Thankyou so much Cornerstone press ,Evermore and Netgalley for the advanced reader copy 🥹🧡

I'm so sad to see the end of the Silver Pines series closing. I have followed Paisley since her green pink indie days with HTR and now we're here, at the end of her debut series. She's accomplished so much with her other books, too. Such an amazing woman!

I lovvvvve pregnancy books so much and I thought that this one was done really well. I really liked the pacing and there were a few moments where I did tear up, birth scene included. I was so happy that was included on the page!! I felt so in the moment, and it was really lovely.

Asher and Olivia are perfect for each other. They have wildly different pasts / upbringings but really bought out the best in each other. They are such a good example of opposites attract. The tension and flirting between them was written so well, and when they decided to ya know, scratch the itch that we've all been waiting for - it was SO GOOD. Like I'll let the toilet cubicle slide hahaha.

Olivia's unexpected pregnancy really bought out the best in Asher. He has a violent past and not one that he's proud of OR wants to bring into the future. The protectiveness he had over Olivia was beautiful to see, the acts of service KING! Olivia accepted Asher for the man he is, and he really needed that. They really bought out the best in each other, and they were the best little unit.

Chasing the Fire was such a fun read, I really enjoyed Asher and Olivia, and this one is probably up there with one of my favs of the series. I loved the darker undertone, the initial mystery surrounding Asher and how he was able to find his family with the Silver Pines crew. I'm sad to see this series end but excited to see what Paisley delivers next!

DNF in the middle of Chapter 14 because the first s3x scene between them made me so nauseous I actually had to stop listening to the audiobook.

Also, this guy's supposed to have an Irish accent?? The only one that sometimes puts on an Irish tilt is the female narrator when doing the guy's voice...

Such a disappointment after a great series, but omg I hate this convicted fellon, heroe wannabe as*hole!

Y'all I didn't want this series to end. But what an ending it is!!! I have loved this series so much and so enjoyed being in this world. Chasing the fire was such a beautiful read, and oh my heart, these two falling in love was everything!! I loved their dance around each other and then the delicious f it moment we get. The tension of these two has been building up through the series, and oh, it was such a beautiful climax in their book. Their chemistry is off the charts from the first chapters. I ate this up. I adore the found family aspect of these books. There is a really beautiful line at the end of the book that just sums up this series so well. Paisley can do no wrong in my eyes.

Asher, our MMC, oh you sweet tortured hero, he was in strong contention for top spot, but I think he and Wade are tied. I loved Asher so much!! The way he was so soft with Olivia and his caretaking was just everything. I loved how much he opened up during this book, he has so many beautiful moments. He really had me on the edge of my seat, eating out the palm of his hand and the mouth on that man, holy hotness. He was just so perfect.

Olivia, our FMC, she was so sweet, I really enjoyed reading more about her past, and I loved the interactions with the not-angels as well. She was so far gone for Asher, and it was so beautiful to see her come into her own and be so content in her life. I loved how vulnerable she was with Asher as well. There were just so many swoony moments!

I'm sad it's ended, but what an amazing journey to go on for this whole series!!

“You and me, yeah?”
“Forever.”
I genuinely don’t know how to say goodbye to Silver Pines. 🥺
Knowing this series has come to an end absolutely shattered me. From the very first book, I fell deeply in love with every character, living through their highest highs and lowest lows right alongside them. I cried through their heartbreaks, cried through their joy, and now my heart aches knowing their stories are complete ❤️‍🩹

This final installment completely blew me away. I teared up, I sobbed without restraint, and I laughed out loud more times than I can count!
Asher and Olivia were everything in this book. Utterly captivating, emotionally raw, and impossible not to root for 🫶🏻 Their connection was electric, and the yearning between them was off the charts. 😮‍💨 Every page and every chapter left me desperate for more!!

The tension was intense, the chemistry scorching 🥵, and the emotional build-up exquisitely done as always 👏🏻👏🏻 Watching the past and present intertwine so beautifully had me in awe from start to finish. Paisley Hope’s writing never fails to impress me, and this series is a perfect example of her sheer talent. Silver Pines had me hooked from the beginning, and as my first small-town cowboy romance, it completely stole my heart. This is a series I will never stop loving—and an author I will never stop praising. Never stop writing Paisley because I for one, will never stop reading 💗

Asher Reed: a man running from his past… and the dangerously hot fire chief 🔥
“There’s just something about the goodness in her. That light with a desire for the dark that brings out this raw need in me—to protect her, to be with her, to own her the way she’s owned my every thought for weeks.”

Olivia Sutton: the clumsy small-town girl with a heart of gold 💫
“—I think…I know, I’m falling in love with you.”

This was the perfect ending to an amazing series. Paisley Hope is one of those authors that just knows how to write small town romance.

This one followed Asher; the towns silent grumpy chief firefighter and Olivia who runs a local clothing store in town.

I do love an accidental pregnancy trope when it's done right and it's at the forefront of the story, which it was in this one.

The jump back in the timeline confused me a little bit to begin with (because at the end of Freeing The Wild we witnessed something at the wedding but then CTF goes back in time to when Asher & Olivia first meet), but I can see now that the background was needed for the foundation of the story.

I love me a grumpy mmc but I can't say that I loved Asher all that much in the beginning; I felt like he was too grumpy for me and was taking a lot out on Olivia that wasn't her fault. But when the forced proximity and the acts of service love language started coming into play 🥹

I wasn't actually expecting to like Liv but I absolutely loved her character. Daddy Asher was something else 🔥 The tension between these two were palpable and when the spice really started kicking off - damn they were hot!!!

I really liked the side storyline with Asher's family and past; that brought a darker element to the story which I ate up. Loved seeing all the boys come together for Asher - this book really reminded me why Wade and Nash are two of my fave MMC's. Seeing their characters development from the beginning of this series to now was so bloody cute!

This ended in the most lovely way - seeing all of them so happy made my heart burst.

Only downsides I have to this is - 1) Why did he have to pick such an icky nickname 🙈 2) Liv's clumsiness felt like it was talked about too much. I can understand at the start of the story to build the foundation but when it kept happening later on it started to grate on me.

I have absolutely loved this series and I’m so sad to see it end!! What a perfect ending to Silver Pines Ranch!

Dare I say this was my fave of the series?!? ASHER REED!! The hot chief firefighter and the absolute man he is. I have been waiting for this book and it did not let me down!! Olivia was such a lovable FMC. Independent, caring, and a little chaotic. Together these two are amazing! Asher & Olivia were perfect from the beginning. The tension and chemistry from these two was off the charts!!

This book was packed with steamy moments, banter, an amazing family/friend group, and some added past & suspense that kept me sucked into this one!! I did not want to put this book down. Paisley absolutely delivered with this one! I loved the added dark vibes in this one & the mystery it gave!

The perfect blend of emotional, funny, suspenseful, and oh so spicy!! Daddy Asher 🔥& Olivia really brought the heat with their undeniable chemistry!!

Thank you Paisley Hope for this early copy and for writing one of my favorite series! I have been sucked in by every one of these and I am truly changed by their stories!!

“I run my hand back and forth across my stomach as I let the tears fall. I promise, no matter what happens, it’s me and you.”

I can’t believe I am done with the Silver Pines series. I have learned every couple. Olivia and Asher were so cute and I am always a sucker for an accidental pregnancy.

Asher has to overcome the darkness in his past and Olivia has to learn to trust and let people in.

There is a tiny bit of a suspense element. You get cameos from all of your favorite characters from the series.

If you are looking for a small town romance series with lots of emotion and spice, this is a wonderful series to check out.

Thank you to Dell for the digital arc. All opinions are my own.

The last book in the silver pines series :(((( and I loved it so much!!!!!! Absolutely my favorite book in the series. I binged this is three sitting I was hooked! The found family in this, seeing everyone in love and finally having Olivia and Asher happy ending made this so bitter sweet! I was a little hesitant to pick this up at first because of the pregnancy trope but I will say paisley did this perfectly!!! The forced proximity, tension, communication, little drama, grumpy x sunshine was so good.
The audiobook!!!!! 👏🏼👏🏼 the mmc has a slight accent and I ate it up!!
Highly recommend the silver pines series if you’re looking for a fun small town romance!
Thank you NetGalley and Dell Romance/Bellantine for this arc!!

Heat and heart (and hot & heavy). My favorite of the series.

The only bit that pulled me from the story (as someone married to a firefighter) was when they described the firefighters as having thick beards because no you cannot or your mask doesn’t fit snug!! But that’s a me thing 😂

Paisley sure knows how to write a heartfelt and steamy romance book. While surprise baby is probably one of my least favorite tropes, I still really loved this one.
