Racing was his world. She was the girl who never stayed in the stands.
Ripley James walked away from everything — the cameras, the chaos, and the boy who once made her feel like the center of the track. But when coming home means facing more than just old feelings, Ripley finds herself back in the dirt, camera in hand, heart on the line.
Creed Carter is chasing the dream harder than ever. Fame. Sponsorships. Wins. But none of it means a damn thing without her. When Ripley shows back up, secrets spill fast — like the baby she never got to tell him about.
As rivalries flare and a dangerous past resurfaces, Creed and Ripley are forced to fight for more than a finish line. A stalker from the shadows. A betrayal they never saw coming. And a love that refuses to burn out.
Fast-paced, high-stakes, and heartbreakingly raw —
Hold Fast is a dirt track romance where the greatest victory is finding your way back home.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Hold Fast by Cortney Nugent blew me away. It was fast, emotional, and had me hooked from the first chapter. I loved the tension, the characters, and the way the story kept pulling me in. It was one of those books I didn’t want to put down and didn’t want to end. Definitely a 5-star read for me. Now onto the last book in the series.
Just overall not good. I’m not one to always be super critical, but just not good. So many of the racing details were so wrong as someone who is at a dirt track every weekend in the summer, and on top of that there was no tension, no threat, no longing, no danger. Just a dude who was more of an annoyance than a threat. The whole romance was sunshine and rainbows and the relationship was patched in the first quarter of the book.
This was such a fun read!! I loved the dirt track aspect!! Watching Creed and Rips relationship unfold was fun! It’s also always a plus when you through in some tension thanks to Dustin. There were so parts that could have used more details or focus but it was still amazing!
This book is amazing! It definitely pulls on your heart strings. 10/10 would recommend. I love how the author was able to really make the book come to life.
