The past has come calling… and this time, it’s not taking no for an answer.
After a long hunt for answers and the unearthing of long-buried truths, Dani Williams faces her greatest threat yet—Meredith Walker has escaped.
As the vengeful spirit wreaks havoc on Point Pleasant, Dani must uncover how Meredith broke free and find a way to end her reign of terror once and for all. She must protect her town, her family, and her coven from the wrath of a woman wronged… and very much not at rest.
The only way to stop Meredith for good is to finally break the curse. Dani must rely on her coven, her magic, and every ounce of grit she has left.
But laying Meredith to rest won’t be easy, and the cost might be more than Dani’s willing to pay.
In this gripping final book of the Williams Witch Mystery series, family secrets, found family, and the power of magic come to a heart-pounding conclusion.
Thanks so much to BookSirens for the free Kindle book. My review is voluntarily given, and my opinions are my own.
I am so sad to hear that this is the last book in this series, but at least there is a new spin-off series starting in the same town. This entire series was amazing and loved every single book. ❤️ Even though each book had a new mystery, there was so much going on plot wise that these really aren't stand-aone books. There is a central mystery running through the entire series that will be very hard to pick up if you don't read them in order. This book concluded the series perfectly.
For those who want to know, this series is completely clean. No smut at all. Seriously, they are engaged in this book, and I don't even remember a scene where they kissed (could have forgotten one where they had a chaste kiss?).
Loved it and would recommend this series to anyone who loves paranormal cozies.
What a fantastic ending to this series!! I was on pins and needles for most of the book, worried about the strengths of the spells this coven would need to keep, in order to finally rid their town of Meredith, and the curse {IYKYK}. The pages turned themselves as I could not get enough of the twists and dangers to all in this storyline. Book 8 left us at Lori's return to town, which is troubling for everyone, and added more questions than answers.
Dani is doing her absolute best all throughout this series to coordinate everything, learn how to control her abilities, and uncover the truths to why specific people have turned up non-living. The rollercoaster ride of this storyline was fun to follow, and was really addictive. I loved the cohesion of this coven, and the way they used their talents. The writing flows well, and it's easy to get swept up in the engaging drama.
The relationship between Chris and Dani has been so adorable to follow, and I was thrilled with his support and faith in Dani in this conclusion, and how their relationship culminated in their wedding. Just sooo sweet! I loved it!! I recommend reading this series in order for the best experience, and to avoid spoilers. Worth your time, IMO.
I am very sad to be at the end of this series, as it was very entertaining and kept my interest from book one to the last. I was fortunate to receive an ARC of this book (thank you) and happily leave my thoughts.
"Charms and the Cursed Coven" brings the "Williams Witch Mysteries" to a spectacular and deeply satisfying close. As a devoted fan of the series, I can confidently say this ninth and final book not only lived up to my high expectations but surpassed them. The entire narrative is devoted to the monumental task of breaking Meredith's curse, making this the darkest and most emotionally charged installment yet. It truly feels like a culmination, where every past event converges with high stakes. The timely return of Dani's mother, Lori, adds another layer of depth and poignancy to this final chapter. Eloise Everhart's writing is, as always, masterful. She has a gift for crafting a fast-paced, page-turning plot while ensuring her characters remain realistic and deeply likable. She doesn't just tell a story; she pulls you into the world until you feel like part of the coven yourself. True to form, the book is packed with surprises, but each revelation is perfectly interwoven into the story; much like a meticulously cast spell. The series concludes on a positive and fulfilling note for Dani, providing the closure she deserves. While it's bittersweet to say goodbye to a character I've grown to love, the ending left me with a sense of happy contentment and immediate excitement for the new spin-off series featuring Megan.
An excellent book end to a charming paranormal cozy series. The best part is that there is a reveal of a spin-off! The prior books in the series have been building towards this final confrontation, which had a lot at stake. Dani and the gang use all of the gifts in their witchy arsenal, and it is the teamwork that makes the dream work. I loved this series, and although this could be read as a standalone, I recommend reading the entire series.
Thank you Eloise Everhart and BookSirens for this free ARC.
I've finally reached the final book in the Williams Witch Mystery series!Charms and the Cursed Coven was well worth the wait as the witches of Point Pleasant band together to confront Meredith's ghost and break the curse once and for all.
(Also, while the cover art of this series has been cute, I think this one might be my favourite!)
✍🏽📖 The Reading Experience
The stakes are at an all-time high here. The gradual build-up toward confronting Meredith and breaking the curse reaches its peak in this book, yet it never loses the smaller moments of connection and lightheartedness that you'd expect from a cozy-mystery.
📚 The Story: Breaking the Curse
In this final book, Dani and her friends must deal with an escaped Meredith Walker, the Outsider she made a deal with, and the curse Meredith had placed on her coven and their descendants. As a slew of people turn up dead, Dani must figure out who is helping Meredith and how to put this vengeful spirit to rest. Lori, Dani's estranged mother, has also come back to town, shedding light on her time away.
🪄 The Magic System
We see the coven practicing their magic in a combat scenario. It was also interesting to see that three generations of the Williams line had different specialties of divination: Dani specializing in tracking and the present; her daughter Grace, who's particularly skilled at looking into the past as well as people's emotions; and finally there's Dani's mum, Lori who's focused more on the future.
As an aside, there was a wonderful moment of levity in an otherwise tense scene where Dani mentions the coven chanting a spell to the tune of 'Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star'. That put a smile on my face!
👥 Characters
Dani & Chris: Dani's come so far since Potions and the Pleasantly Poisoned. She's grown into a leader, projecting a humble confidence that inspires others around her. She hasn't let it go to her head, being self-aware enough to question whether she's ready to write her own spells. Then there's Chris—I've really come to love him. He's so supportive of Dani, before and after he learns she's a witch. He doesn't second guess her or holds her back. I loved that they got married at the end, it was beautiful.
Grace & Megan: Both have suffered under the curse. Grace had taken to covering up and wearing gloves to avoid accidental visions (I'd gotten Rogue vibes in the previous books and smiled at the reference to it here!). Now that the curse is broken, she can finally touch again—and maybe it's just me, but I noticed a little something going on between her and Noah. Meanwhile, Megan, whose protective magic had reversed thanks to the curse, making it so that she's inherently distrusted by everyone around her, can finally breathe easy. In fact, she even gets a job offer that will have her interacting with the Warden and the city council.
Izzy & Meredith: We learn Izzy has a deeper connection to the coven and the curse then was first thought. As for Meredith, while she's the antagonist, her motives for making a deal with the Outsiders were understandable. I'll admit, being relatively new to the cozy-mystery genre especially the cozy-witch mystery... is that a thing? it should be— I expected a more harrowing climax with Meredith being forcibly banished to the beyond. Though that could be because I kept imagining the climax to Scooby-Doo and the Witches' Ghost! 😏. Seeing Meredith sent to rest in peace was perfectly handled.
Heather & Kim: Despite not being a witch herself Heather becomes a permanent member of the coven their friendship being vital to not just Dani, but the others and Heather herself. It was also nice to see the closure for Kim who finally started opening up from her closed-up guardedness from before.
The Retirees & Bob: The three older ladies have been wonderful mentors for Dani and later Grace. Now that the curse has lifted, they can finally leave Point Pleasant and go wherever they want. Even Bob, the former sheriff, had a fitting conclusion. We see a different side to Bob and what he really thinks of Dani, leaving him with plans for making dinner with an old friend to finish his arc.
✔️ Final Thoughts
All-in-all, a perfect end to the series. It feels like just yesterday that I started the first book. If you're looking for a series to read on a quiet rainy day (or any weather) and feel like a cozy mystery, you won't be disappointed with this. Eloise Everhart is continuing the series, which follows Megan on her new job, so I'm looking forward to returning to Point Pleasant in the future! 😊

If you’re in the mood for a cozy mystery with a magical twist, Charms and the Cursed Coven is a total treat. This ninth installment in the Williams Witch Mystery series brings back all the charm, sass, and spellbinding sleuthing we’ve come to love.
Our favorite witchy protagonist is back at it again—this time unraveling a mystery that’s as tangled as a cauldron full of cursed spaghetti. The small-town vibes are strong, the magical mishaps are delightful, and the characters feel like old friends you’d want to grab a pumpkin spice latte with. There’s a perfect balance of whimsy and suspense, and the pacing keeps you flipping pages well past bedtime.
Whether you’re a longtime fan of the series or just dipping your toes into Everhart’s enchanting world, this one’s a fun, feel-good read with just enough bite to keep things interesting. Bonus points for the clever magical clues and the cozy autumnal atmosphere—it’s like wrapping yourself in a warm blanket of mystery and magic.

This is, sadly, the final book in the series. I typically prefer cozy mysteries that are lighthearted and have a bunch of humor, but this has been a really well written and fascinating series, with the finale being the same.
The spirit of Meredith Walker has escaped, and is causing a lot of trouble, Dani and her coven must break the curse in order to stop Meredith.
I've really loved the characters and their relationships in this, Dani's fiance Chris is a rock star, and each coven member is unique and interesting.
While you don't HAVE to read the previous books in order to enjoy this, you really should, as there's so much that's happened which can't be all added into this book.
Well done ending to the series!

We have a bit of everything in this story, all on its own. The Coven needs to break the curse, there’s dead bodies and even deader ghosts, Dani’s mom is there, Charlie is still growing and they have all kinds of preparations to do in order to perform multiple rituals to deal with Meredith. Not to mention, Dani and Chris are engaged now. This is edge of your seat action as they all pull together. Eloise Everhart’s writing style just pulled me into the story and the plot kept me turning pages way past the time I should have been asleep. I just had to find out how it all ended. And a very satisfying ending it was too.

What a wonderful, somewhat intense at times story. Everything has been building up to one final showdown and we finally get that here. There are some big surprises and some sad moments, but for the most part this book made me happy. There was so much sadness that hung over the lives of these ladies and now they’re free to live life to the fullest. While I’m a little sad to say that this is the final installment I am excited to see how the spin off series with Megan and the Wardens as the main characters. All good things etc, but this was most assuredly a happy ending for a series. I received an arc via BookSirens this is my honest review.
This was a long time coming and anxiously awaited . A highly anticipated end to a great, entertaining, and suspenseful series. I was on the edge of my seat with bated breath so many times with these close calls-omg!!! I was squirming everytime it got super dangerous, and I was hoping for the best. A fantastic read with an explosive ending. And a surprise wedding?! Looking forward to the next series soon , I hope. I voluntarily read a free copy of this book provided by book sirens and am giving an honest review.
What a wild ride! I came close to emotional whiplash as tender moments grew and tensions from across the series mount to life-or-death confrontations. Magic moves from a guarded, secret weapon in previous crime investigations to a no-time-to-hide-it, world-saving display. Whether or not you have read previous books in the series, enough information is briefly given to make it possible to read the series in any order. However, I enjoyed the increased impact of having the tension build from book to book. I highly recommend this book and each in the series.
I enjoyed reading this - it is very much in the cosy style which made it an easy read. Thank you BookSirens for giving me an advanced copy to read. I am leaving this review voluntarily.
An engaging protagonist, who came across as a 3d character. The other characters were nicely managed, as was the integration of modern-ish America and a magical society. I enjoyed the way the magical powers had a flip-side and that was the curse. I especially felt for Kim . . .
I suspect I would have appreciated the book even more if I had read the preceding books, but it works as a standalone.
I've loved reading the whole Williams Witch Mystery series, and this final book was a fantastic finish to the series. Charms and the Cursed Coven has all the twists and surprises we've come to expect from the series so far, amped up a notch as the storyline comes to it's conclusion. This book is a wonderful, satisfying end to the series. I highly recommend the Williams Witch Mystery series to readers who love witchy mysteries, but be sure to start from the beginning for the best experience.

Charms and the Cursed Coven beautifully brings an end to what has been a delightful series. So much happens in book 9 for the reader to devour. This was a wonderfully exciting read, especially towards the end. A perfect ending which leads to a new series in this world. Looking forward to it for sure. I received a copy of this book via the author in conjunction with BookSirens and I voluntarily leave my opinion of the tale.
What an amazing ending to a great series! So much going on, everyone is invested, trying to figure out how to take Meredith out for good. It's a crazy read but great storyline. I'm sorry to see the end of this series. I'd love to have it go on for a few more. If you haven't read the others in this series, please do - you won't be disappointed!

What an amazing conclusion to the series. There were some huge reveals that I never saw coming. Jaw dropping reveals! I’m sad that this series is over, but we do get a spinoff that I know will be just as wonderful as this series was.
Thank you Eloise for the wonderful series and I can’t wait to get started on your next one.
What an absolutely fantastic story this is! I loved it! I loved how everything finally came together to address the Curse once and for all. I loved how everyone’s lives turned out awesomely. This has been such a fantastic series and I have loved every book in it! I look forward to reading ANYTHING Eloise Everhart writes!
This is a good read, I did struggle a little as it is the first book I have read in this series, it was very good though an I hope to be able to start at the frist book and work through the series. If you like a paranormal Cozy mystery then this is a must read.

This is a great book! I think it would be hard as a standalone, but the series should definitely be your next read! It's easy to read and well written. Each book flows into the next so the story is cohesive and full. This helps wrap it all together and is so satisfying.

I have really enjoyed this series. I loved all the characters. The story is written in the voice of the main protagonist Dani Williams. The ending, which cleared up a few mysteries, was very strong.
