About the author

Rachel Hore worked in London publishing for many years before moving with her family to Norwich, Norfolk and turning to writing fiction.

I borrowed it from our lovely local library in Totton, it was suggested to me by an elderly book club friend. A beautifully written dual-timeline story about women in science. Their strength, resilience, and never-ending battles shaped the next generations. Truly moving.
