🌹 The word "ATMAN" means (noun; Hinduism) the spiritual life principle of the universe, especially when regarded as immanent in the individual's real self.
a person's soul.
Ātman, in Hinduism, is the eternal, true self or soul of a living being, distinct from the body and ego. It is considered the essence of consciousness that is unchanging and immortal, a principle that continues to exist and is reborn in new forms based on karma until it achieves liberation (moksha). This individual Ātman is seen as a microcosm of Brahman, the universal spirit or ultimate reality.
So the title means intelligence of/for the soul.
The book 📖 begins with a poem titled, The Game Of Life which I feel gives the "crux" of life 🧬 in a poetic verse.
The preface says,
Step in, dear traveller. A journey of insight & inner mastery awaits.
Before the chapters begin, we get a blank page to write ✍🏻 My Intentions For This Journey, which I really liked because it let me think brainstorm what am I seeking from this book.
The book is further divided into 10 chapters & ends with a summary action guide which I found very pragmatic & useful.
Each chapter is systematically bifurcated & contains quotes, small small anecdotes, life lessons, key takeaways & reflections. It makes you ponder 🤔 💭, reflect, brainstorm & then gives space to actually pen down ✍🏻 your 💬 thoughts.
So yes it's not a quick read because almost after every few paragraphs, one needs to just close the book 📚 & absorb, reflect & think (which is a good thing). I have highlighted & annotated & scribbled on the book, mercilessly even though their is space for reflection after every chapter.
Read this book if you are actually seeking to improve, better, enlighten your true (inner) self.
