Imagine you’ve gone on a blind date ( a guy from a website). You have a 10 min conversation with him and agree to meet for dinner instead.

At this moment in time your date has left but you are still at the coffee shop (which you own).

In come 2 women and a man (who is the gay sidekick that says all the gay things and provides comic relief but has no other purpose).

These two women proceed to ask for you by name make a big scandal about talking to you, telling everyone that they know you own the cafe and that no one can tell them otherwise.

You reveal yourself, and they sit down introduce themselves by name and they start talking among themselves (stuff that is meant to be funny but I think it’s obnoxious and disrespectful, considering the circumstances)

After their dialog, in which they are supposed to come off as cute, and quirky and funny or whatever.. they ask you about you date and proceed to question you how it went and if you’re ok, then they tell you that the guy is a biker, he lost a bet, he’s good guy but they worry about him.. they want him to find someone...

I’m like wtf and how is this supposed to be even remotely ok or realistic? And the heroine.. she just thinks these girls are beautiful, hilarious and nice. Right...

In real life this would be my thought process:
1. Who are you?
2. Did you come here to talk to me or to act like assholes who own the joint and pretend I’m an afterthought?
3. Why do you care about my date or the guy I went out with (I would get territorial) Do you fancy him or why exactly do you think it’s ok to meddle with a complete stranger’s life and give me advice and expect me to be a certain way towards the guy.. Did I forget owing you something at any point? In a previous life maybe?
4. Stop acting like you’re the guy’s freaking besties and you know him better than his mom, I get it girls, you’re territorial and you know him while I don’t.. just saying tho, but that’s the point of our future date.
5. Am I in an alternative reality where some entitled b****es who are complete strangers think it’s ok to order me around and give me pointers on my dating life?

In the book the whole point of the scene is to bring previous characters in and make some funny scenes and interactions.. but it was cringe worthy. I would have shown them the door and kindly asked them to mind their own freaking business.

There’s ridiculous and then there’s ridiculous with cherries on top.

It is a novella and it was on my kindle since forever.. part of a MC series I never finished. I wanted to do a clean up and I thought “I remember this being an ordinary series but maybe I can finish this short thing... “ yeah, mistake nr. 1, mistake nr 2 is that I have the next book in the series as well.. I buy in bulk apparently..

I would have given it a better rating if it wasn't SOOOOO rushed! They meet one time and he -hardcore MC biker- introduces her to his brothers and they are rooting for her, like a pack of cheerleaders? Please!

I would have liked more of a build-up because otherwise it was a very interesting storyline.

OMG! Another perfect book by Lila Rose. I really want to lock this woman in my basement and have her write me stories 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week 364 days a year. (She can have Christmas off).
Ivy is a socially awkward cafe owner who's mother is forcing her to go to her cousins wedding. Ivy is dateless and boyfriend less. She may have stretched the truth and told her family she had been in a relationship for the past 2 years. While great for distance, it's hard to provide the boyfriend when he is imaginary. In comes the dating site which leads her to Fox. Fox is the ying to Ivy's yang. Perfect. The story just sucks you in. Must read. I totally need a Hawks MC man!

Cute and Simple but problematic

This book is cute and simple, and way too short.

It was too short, and if you read the rest of the review, I hope you can see where if the book had everything it is lacking, the book would naturally be longer and more enjoyable. This book was rushed. Although the characters were cute to read and enjoyable, it could have been so much more.

The plot was barely enough to carry the story along, and the conflict between the FMC’s family (that was drawn out and seemingly a big thing) only happened at the last 90% of the book and was only a few measly paragraphs.

It was also insta-love, with too completely different characters falling in love in a unrealistic way. Their personalities were not consistent, besides a few obvious main traits that make them unique (gruffness and chatterbox). So what I mean by inconsistent is that FMC is insistent that she does not get with guys on the first date, that she is organized and goal oriented enough to run her own business, that she has risen above her past... but she hasn’t. Her personality shows no connection to her past.. like being unloved, disliked and emotionally abused all her life has not affected her in the slightest. That is, until she faced her family and her personality took a 180. She became quiet and opposite to everything she is. It wasn’t until Fox said anything that she became self assured and strong and seemingly able to “rise above” her family. Yes, I realize this is contradicting, but for her whole personality to flip so quickly doesn’t make sense and it all happens within a few paragraphs.

Lastly, the book was shown and told in a disorganized way that disrupted the smoothness the book could have had. One minute it is being shown, then the scene ends and a day passed. All of the internal monologue of emotions (the “falling in love” aspect. The thought process of it) was missing or summarized by lila rose telling it.

While I like enjoyed lila rose’s other books (at least the ones I have read so far) this one was disappointing.

Ivy Morrison & Fox Kilpatrick

I haven't read any other book in this series yet, but it didn't take away anything from this novella.

Ivy is pretty funny with her rambling whenever she is nervous. So she talks a lot, and ends up with Fox who hardly talks at all, but he does open up with her.

Without having read the other books, I'm assuming the dating site they met on was possibly mentioned in those, because it ended up being connected to the suspense aspect of this book.

As for the romance, it's an insta-love story, that's cute, and a bit steamy.

DNF I don't feel any connection to either of the main characters and the story is kind of dumb and juvenile. Maybe just me - but too many books to be read and this one is just a MEH for me. The accents from the narrators were cute but not enough for me to stick with this one.

*WARNING* story contains explicit sexual content
This is a super short one. Killer's past is revealed. He finds his one, she gets her nickname, and they catch the bad guy. It may be short, but we still get all the details. Great series and easily read as stand alones.

I got a honor to have Found Out as ARC. And seriously...First chapter first page I was chuckling...Still first chapter but second page and I was laughing my butt off. You just can't help it. Thats way Lila's books is so unique. Always bringing out those reactions in you with her stories.
So let's talk about couple here. Fox and Ivy meet by pure accident. She needed a man to display at her cousins wedding because Ivy said a white lie to get off her back her mother and Fox had a bet which he lost. Those circumstances that not Ivy and Fox otherwise put themselves in. Though you have to agree that this out come was the best think that could have happened to them.
When they meet sparks fly. If Ivy wouldn't have been her normal nervous around gorgeous people self and ramble on, wich was funny as hell btw, Fox wouldn't have noticed that it front of him is sitting someone unique and rare in this world to find. So no surprise Fox moves really fast to be the one for her. He introduces her to his family aka brothers in the club and their wifes. Which Fox don't do. Bring women into club thats it. Because of sad and hurtfull past (And what a hurt poor baby go trough. When he made the confession to Ivy about it and how he come about his nickname Killer...I just wanted reach inside my tabled and give Fox a big hug.) Fox is broody and abrupt most of the time. Brothers saw that Ivy brings Fox back to them, make him smile and happy. Because of this they accepts her and is very happy for Fox to find his special person. Not to mention because they, I mean brothers, are all hotties and what Ivy do when she is around beautiful people? Yup, she ramble something that makes you smile or just outright laugh. Which in turn makes Ivy blush and and all that combined together is so cute and endearing that you can't help but love her.
And to not forget the reason why Ivy meet Fox. The Wedding. They go but Ivy warns Fox about her family. They are not your typical family and they really are not warm and funny about it like Zaras. Fox didn't pay much attention thinnking that Ivy being just over the top. But first meeting with them and...Well, damn. I have no clue why Ivy even bothers to talk with her mother and her family members. They are rude, mean, selfish and jealous b*tches. They way they talk about Ivy even with her being there hearing every word...That was so wrong. That "wrong" word is to weak to express it. But then....Oh,man! Fox...That man is bloody incredible. They way he stands up for his woman...The way he was around and with Ivy from the start was amazing and after that cut down Fox gave to Ivy's mother...I'm his fan girl for life.
Oh, and there is some psycho sending threatening letters to Ivy. Which culmination come on the wedding. And there, in that dangerious situation, only Lila would manage to make me nervous, amazed, impressed and laugh my ass off at the same time.
And I can't help but speak again about Fox again. Just because who could resist that man...He was so sweet and hearfelt at the danger when Ivy was. And this adding with all sides I saw in him through the book and that wicked mind of his *fanning myself* I'm sold. Where those kind of men are hiding? I need one like this.

This was a surprise delight to read in the Owned Anthology by Lila Rose. I was new to her MC writing but Ivy and Fox have definitely made me want to read more.
Ivy and Fox meet via an online dating site. Ivy's on there to find a date to a family wedding and Fox as he lost a bet, when they meet her nerves and verbal vomit threaten to ruin things but hot, tattooed and quiet Fox finds her endearingly cute.
They both have pasts that they need to overcome but find a connection they've not had with anyone before, plus share an explosively passionate chemistry. Can cute and sweet Ivy cope with dating a dirty talking, possessive and aggressive biker whose family of brothers are equally rough and ready or will she do as her family want her to or take a walk on the wild side?
Ivy soon learns that family means everything to this MC club and that once your in and they'll do everything to keep their family safe and happy, which is something she's never experienced before.....will she stay with Fox or walk away??

Ivy Morrison needs a date, she needs a date who will pretend he is the love of her life for the last two years, named Max, and is a cop. In a last ditch effort to find one, Ivy accepts a date from a dating website only to find an instant attraction to Fox "Killer" Kirkpatrick.

Fox sees something adorable in the rambling woman who says what she is thinking and then blushes when she realizes it is better kept inside her head. Fox realizes immediately his heart is open once again and he wants Ivy in his life. When he finds out someone is stalking Ivy he will protect her with every fiber of his being.

This was a fun one, Ivy is a chatterbox and Fox is more stoic. I thought the chemistry was there and you get to read about your favorite characters who are creating mischief along the way. Another great read from Lila Rose.

Ivy and Fox meet through an on-line dating site that Ivy decides to use to get a date for her cousin's wedding. Her mother and family are complete snobs and treat her like garbage. Fox loses a bet and has to date someone from the site and go on at least one date. They both find that they really like each other and Ivy and Fox bring peace to each other. Ivy's ramblings were a bit much at times and would probably drive everyone crazy in real life, but they worked to smooth out Fox's standoffish demeanor and bring out a softer side of him. The plot was well done with her stalker and wrapped up very nicely in the end. One of the better books in this anthology and would recommend it.

As with every book I have read with this author, I fell in love with the characters. Ivy Morrison is absolutely adorable! Every time I turned the page in this book I was laughing about something! Whether it was the lack of filter between Ivy's head and mouth or one of the other Hawk's characters making me laugh. Next thing I knew I was sighing huge over something Fox (Killer) Kilpatrick would do or say to Ivy as she changed his life just by being such a beautiful soul!!!

Great book, loved it!!!!

Lila makes it so hard to choose to pick your favourite Hawks member. They are all so hot, sexy, alpha males and Fox is no exception. Fox aka Killer made me seriously swoon with all his dirty and romantic words. And as always in A Hawks MC book it made me laugh in parts, it has its drama but this book made me cry at the end. Every Hawks book gets better and better with even more drama.

I enjoy MC romance but this story just didn't cut it. Stilted dialogue, characters not developed, a sorry line hat was too rushed to even make sense. It felt like it was all about the sex and not about the characters feelings. Ivy was the only character you got a good glimpse of and she was cute and funny. I wish the author had taken more time to let the readers fell the connection between the people in the story.

A blind date from an app, he turns up basically says ‘you’re mine now’ and leaves demanding you be ready for a date. Not great and the instalove only continues from there with the added red flags of the side characters all just accepting that minimal conversation, lots of spice and grumbly being referred to as property is normal and great.

I wanted to give it 4 stars however
1.) the story feels rushed
2.) the sex while another biker(Stoke) was watching was off putting
3.) the heroine's family was ott caricature of mean people that it became a parody of sorts

Overall the story was cute and I still wanna read the next one

This book was romantic and sweet but still with edge of danger.
Ivy is so lovely and whenever she starts talks I can’t holding in my laughter.
Killer has been through a lot, he has been living a dark place for a really long time until he meet ivy and she brightened up his whole world.
