"Runt Pulse" is the story of an ex-soldier who has suffered a debilitating stroke caused by a malfunctioning bio-electronic implant. While wandering the landscape, he discovers a mother and child hiding from a violent posse of self-appointed lawmen.

The soldier accidentally leads their pursuers to the hideout and he must see the mother and daughter to safety while fighting his physical ailments.
