Arriving in Australia unconscious and unarmed was not their plan.
After several weeks in a life raft on the open ocean, Jake and Harper have survived only to be thrust into a land of desert heat, limited resources, and warring clans of plague survivors. To get on their way to New Zealand, they’ll have to cross a no-man’s land few have survived. Jake finds that to do so they’ll have to either pick a side or strike a deal, and neither option is very attractive.
To keep them both alive, Jake will have to devise a plan to escape the conflict. But leaving it behind is only the beginning of their troubles. They still have thousands of miles of Australian outback to traverse.
With limited supplies and weapons, they set out, trading their world of water for the parched desert and death at every turn.
This is one of the best series I have read. Great characters and development, story is fantastic. Writer is obviously intelligent on many subjects. I truly dislike fantasy science fiction and this not that. This is all possible. Mr Wood has a knack of writing and gained a new follower.
