I enjoyed that both stories had people pretending to date, just to get people to stop trying to set them up. My favorite was probably the first story, I liked the small town and how everyone wanted to know about Millie's love life.

I received a complimentary copy of this book to review. I was asked to give my honest opinion of the book - which I have done.

OOhh but it was a fun-fun read!! Kim O'Brian does a phenomenal job of talking such a serious situation and putting it in a fun loving setting. I absolutely loved Eva and all the Aunts. their lively caramarade and even Eva's constant complaints --goodness they were so funny. Poor Millie has been on blind dates with practically every single man in town and now it's the turn of widowed Dentist- David. even when she tries to put a foot down and not go her mother Eva is adamant and sets out to go instead. so Millie is left again with no choice but to go. David on the other hand has agreed to this date hoping to escape Shelly - the hot bimbo who has been stalking him with the help of his own mother. after this disastrous date and a case of some hard caramels, Millie is unexpectently is in David's office and now they meet again only on this meeting it's not only the cavity they fix up. they fix a plan to get rid of matchmaking mothers and stalking girlfriends-- fake dating also known as undating.
poor them. it is quite a journey for them both, only instead of being shy and fearful of the other's opinion their relationship- that has a definite break up scheduled on March 15, is filled with openness and laughter where they are not afraid to be themselves.
dear reader, you need a reason to smile- get this book, it will definitely raise your spirits.
second book even though wasn't as fun, was just as interesting. one main, no two main lessons in this book and one of them I already started teaching my 13-year-oldniece to apply in life and it is - Do Not Copy the guy you like or people you want to befriend, be yourself - because you have been fearfully and wonderfully made.
And second- Do Not Hold secrets- because it gives the other person a chance to guess and believe me and this story - they WILL guess the worst.
Great stories. Practical and fundamental advises, and a clean entertainment you don't find in all books.
Disclosure: I received a free copy of this book from a publisher, through netgalley, in exchange for my honest opinion.

I enjoyed this book. Both stories are about a couple who decide to "fake date" to get their family/friends off their backs about dating. I liked them both but I enjoyed the second one better.

In the first book, David and Millie decide to "fake date" to pacify her mother and try to stop his "stalker girlfriend"...lol. They find themselves falling in love and have to work through some issues from her past. I like the way David is so supportive of Millie even after she makes mistakes. I liked the family dynamics that developed between Millie's mom Eva and David's son Bart. I also liked the support Millie received from her "aunts". They were fun!

In the second book, Violet and Jackson agree to "fake date" so she'll have someone for her sister's wedding and he'll have someone for his high school reunion. One big hurdle is their past. They were classmates in college and Jackson caused Violet some serious problems. As they get to know each other again, she has to learn to trust the new man he's become. I like that Violet decides to pursue opening a business to do something she likes rather than being stuck in a job she didn't like and how Jackson supports her the whole way. One thing that was different about this story is that there are three different story lines in this one short story. Along with Violet and Jackson, you're also following Shadow's story and Violet's friend Reagan's story. That could get distracting.
