We are now at Book 6 and things continue to get a bit more complicated. Remember how the Sky Thieves accidentally pulled a job that netted them $3.6 million dollars? Then realized AFTERWARDS that they had actually mistakenly stolen from the Sinaloa Cartel? Yep, that was definitely an oops.
Well, now most of this book is focused on the new $3.6 million dollar bounty that has been placed on their heads. The Sinaloa Cartel does not mess around. Then to make things even crazier, they realize that there is only one way they are going to be able to make it out alive. Research, and more research into who exactly is calling the shots and is responsible for the bounty.
Unfortunately, that is when things get complicated. The Cartel runs very much like a business and they soon discover that the order did not come from Mexico. Nope. It came from one of the ghost leaders on this side of the border.
We then begin to follow our gang as they start the process of working their way up the ladder to discovering WHO is responsible and WHAT they can do to make him call of the bounty. Blackmail anyone?
I really enjoyed this book, but just a little bit less than book 5. I think it had to do with the tension level in this one. There still was tension - yep, lots of tension and drama, but it was just a smidge bit less that in the last book.
Regardless, everything is being set up to find the REAL bad guy. The man that started this all for the Sky Thieves and pulled them back into this life, all with the intention of making them pay.
Unfortunately, the next book is not yet out. But thankfully, it will only be a short while until it is......

The Sky Thieves are back, in another compelling adventure from Jason Kasper.
The crew is still trying to clear the bounty on their heads after unknowingly robbing the Sinaloa cartel last time around. Their first order of business: draw out the sleeper known as Talon, figure out his motivations, and mitigate them to be in the clear. That way, they can get continue to what they do best - robbing entities with less than stellar reputations - without the proverbial sword of Damocles hanging over their heads.
Kasper is a master at intricately describing the technical aspects of the Sky Thieves tools of the trade, and his word pictures also bring us clear looks at all the senses at work that is part of the artful - yet not always graceful - modus operandi for the crew. With fantastic character development, we get to experience each crew member's clearly-defined traits at work (both good and bad), and this only draws the reader in deeper to the meticulously laid-out plot.
I'm really glad Kasper brought the Sky Thieves back after a several year hiatus, and I can't wait to see where he takes them next!

Jason Kasper simply cannot write a bad story.
In The Talon Gambit, the Sky Thieves find themselves being relentlessly pursued by a powerful cartel. The mystery isn’t just whether they’ll survive—it’s why the cartel is after them in the first place. That question drives an intense, fast-paced thriller filled with clever twists, sharp dialogue, and nonstop suspense.
Kasper’s characters feel real, the pacing never lets up, and the action is balanced with enough intrigue to keep you turning pages late into the night.
That said, don’t make the mistake of starting here. Read The Spider Heist first. It introduces the characters, their relationships, and the events that make The Sky Thieves even more rewarding. Start at the beginning, then buckle up for one of the best modern heist thriller series around.

I received an ARC through "Severn River" and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
The Sky Thieves had disbanded earlier and were once more back together again. The book starts with descriptions of the 3 jobs that they did with no obstacles, but the next job they tried turned out to be a sting and they had to flee. There were members of the Sinaloa Cartel in wait. It seems that a bounty of $3.6M had been placed on them and their next step was to learn who was behind it.
Follow Marco and the team and learn what actions they had to take in order to find the right individual. Learn what reason the bounty was placed and what they needed to do to get it removed.
The action is immense and the ending will keep you holding your breath. The book is well worth the read, don't miss out!

Sometimes the military and tactical techno-babble got me thoroughly confused, even though I enjoyed learning about new weapons and battle schemes. Very nice read!

This is such an action-packed heist thriller series, and each novel is more exciting than its predecessor. The action/chase aboard the train was hard on my stomach! Well-developed characters whom I really like and am invested in. I am eagerly awaiting The Sky Thieves next mission of taking down the Puppet Master!!! I received an advanced copy of this book for my honest review. This a continuation of a great series. It involves a gang of thieves stealing to protect their lives. They do various thefts to find the puppet master who is trying to ruin them. There is plenty of action for the reader and the ending let’s you know more is on the way. As with most series the books should be read in order to understand the main characters, their motivation and the background story. I can’t wait for the next book.

Jason must do a lot of research for these books, his technical details is second to none.
No mention of Marco's family in this one, wife and kids out there somewhere 😂 story continues onwards, pulling of a big heist at the end to appease the current situation, setting up the next one.

Tardy Review - Best Story Yet!!
Ok, so I'm late in getting my tip top review submitted!! Sorry!! What a story this is. It tops the rest and I'm looking forward to the next one. This author is one fantastic storyteller. This whole series is spell binding! The premise is clever, the characters well crafted and described and the plots are intriguing and fantastic!

Jason does it again, as The Talon Gambit brings together intense thrills, high-tech scenes and wonderful dialog to create a fabulous and highly entertaining read. This one grabs from the start and does not let up, and is easy to recommend.

I have yet to read a bad Jason Kasper book. Each and every time he hits it out the park.
The Sky Thieves are back and trying to uncover Talon's identity. Like his other books this series moves at a fast pace but interweaves the art of the heist throughout in such detail that you feel like you are right there with the crew and living every breath with them.
Kasper's way of writing dialogue is unmatched. It feels so natural and each character stands out but more than anything the way they interact feels authentic and real. The throwaway banter lines feel as authentic as you would see in any groups of friends. I always harp on about the group dialogue in Kasper's books because he does it so well and it reads so effortlessly. It is a SKILL to do it so well and he deserves praise for how well he achieves it with each series.
I know there are only 2 more books left in this series and I can't wait to see where it goes next.

Jason Kasper does it again! This book had my anxiety running high. There were some serious twist and turns and I could not put the story down. Kasper is an amazing storyteller.
