This was a fun journey. I don't know if this is the last, but I would like to see it continue.

That being said, there were some issues. One, Ziv lost his wife and child that he had with that pilot. Yet they are still alive in this book? Also, Brit kind of annoyed me with her whole horned-up college student thing in the first book, which annoyed me because it was obvious she was the romance for Nick. And I'm glad she got better after book one. But Nick, he started off great, but his writing got worse, unlike Brit. He was kind of a terrible father and husband. I feel like if we got more time with him and his family, i would care more. When Brit was bit, it made me hate Nick more because yeah, it was his fault. And I was more upset about possibly losing Brit as a character than I was about Nick losing his wife. I feel like if we had more time with Nick and his family, that whole arc would have hit harder, and I could have seen Nick being an actual dad and husband. Also, the ending confused me. Was Brit ever even a zombie, or was that a dream Nick had while injured? If she was a zombie then cured, why is there no mention of it in the epilogue? Why is there no cure mentioned? And finally, in the beginning of this series, Nick told Brit he would take her to Ohio to check for her family. But it's never even brought up again after that.

I do hope that if this story continues, it focuses more on Nick and his family.

Major continuity errors

I’ve generally enjoyed this series but it’s clearly just a bunch of books thrown together haphazardly. To the point when they refer to past events you don’t know if they happened or are going to happen.

SPOILERS AHEAD

I was so confused when they referred to “when the Air Force attempted a coup” only for the actual coup to occur many chapters later? Then you forget about that major mistake in book arrangement and they run into Ziv and he’s talking about his wife who is supposed to be dead. Or the fact that “last time we saw him was outside smallville” as if the whole Manhattan mission never happened.

Continuity, grammar and punctuation issues are a common issue with these books. I appreciate the time and effort Holmes put into the books but was there not a single beta reader?

Stunning end...or is it

Well put together plot, good information and solid character development.

I feel agostines pain, but, have to be irritated about killing others for a maybe mission. No shade, still would myself.

absolutely magnificent story!

Endings are hard to write, this one was pretty good. Not the best but not terrible either. too much time jumping at the end.
