At some point in our lives most of us will reach a crossroad of sorts. Sometimes we are aware. Sometimes it sneaks up on you. Regardless, we have a choice. One path takes us forward to our purpose, the other to the mediocrity of a past we cling to. Desperately hoping to avoid change. However, change is inevitable and either we yield or we fail. It is necessary to leave behind the trappings of a former life; home, family, friends, all that is familiar. To discard the baggage of a former self to unleash a new you. Every so often…we must be lost before we can be found.

This is a story of a man, James Tyler, who has, by circumstances not of his making, severed his ties to terra-firma, anchoring his future and life to the sea. It is there he has found purpose and meaning. It is there he has made his home. And, as with other seamen, salt courses through his veins, drawing him unavoidably and unerringly to the main.

This life upon the waters brings James challenges, adventure, and, ultimately, he will need to confront the demons within as the threat of war looms large, facing a new crossroad, and another difficult choice.
