Felix Aguado is danger wrapped in a big red bow.

He’s good and he knows it. A different woman every weekend, another fan who admires his work on—and off—the field. It’s paradisiacal. At least, until his temper gets in the way of his career, and he is banished to work at the polo school. His new boss is the only woman immune to his charm, and she can’t stand him or his womanizing ways. All he has to do is prove he’s humble enough to work with amateurs, and he can get back on the field to win with his team.

Lina Averbeck likes her boundaries perfectly outlined. Her barn is organized, her clients love her, and she has curated a perfect life for herself in Golden Meadow. That is, until the cocky polo player she accidentally kissed in the dark months ago is her only hope to contain the overwhelming amount of work it takes to run the polo school. Felix is everything she swore she would stay away from, and she’s not even sure he knows it was her that he kissed.

It’s only a few months of working together, but that doesn’t mean either of them will make it easy.

✨ARC Review✨

This book pulled me right into its pages.

It starts with a playboy and a girl running from her past.

They share one unforgettable kiss — both thinking they don’t really know each other. But that kiss keeps chasing them.

One day, fate brings them together again, and of course, sparks fly.

There’s nothing hotter than a man standing up for you.

She’s a true boss girl — and till the end, she stays his boss girl.

They lose their minds over each other.

They are all they want — their mornings, their nights, their angry moments, and their happy ones too.

They are what truly matters, compared to everything else.

A very romantic story, full of hidden family drama.

Absolutely loved it.

✨ Passion, polo, and a kiss that changes everything ✨

4.75 ⭐️ | 3.5 🌶️

Jolie Dunn’s Appealed is a sizzling, emotionally charged ride through the world of Golden Meadow, a place where love, ambition, and danger collide under the heat of the polo sun. This is only Dunn’s second novel, yet it reads like the work of a seasoned romance powerhouse.

Felix Aguado is the kind of hero you shouldn’t want, but absolutely do. Arrogant, magnetic, and reckless, he’s the definition of “trouble in tight jeans and riding boots.” Lina Averbeck, on the other hand, is precision and control wrapped in quiet strength. When their paths collide, thanks to one unforgettable, secret kiss and a forced proximity that neither of them asked for, the sparks are instant, and the tension is downright combustible.

Dunn has a gift for chemistry that feels raw and real. The banter crackles, the longing lingers, and every stolen glance feels like it might burst into flame. Felix’s dirty mouth and Lina’s slow unraveling are a perfect storm of chaos and control, desire and defiance. And beneath all that heat, there’s a beautiful thread of empowerment, of a woman finally stepping out of the shadow of expectation and a man learning humility in the most unexpected way.

The writing flows effortlessly, the pacing is sharp, and the emotional beats hit hard in all the right places. Dunn balances humor, heart, and heat like a pro, giving us a love story that feels both decadent and deeply grounded.

A must-read for fans of enemies-to-lovers with depth, passion, and that perfect blend of sass and sincerity. Appealed proves that Jolie Dunn isn’t just one to watch, she’s one to devour.

Many thanks to Grey’s Promotions for the e-ARC. Congratulations to Jolie Dunn on her upcoming release (November 14th)! Golden Meadow has never felt so intoxicating.

ARC Review 5 ⭐️

Polo season has officially begun! I was so thrilled to return to Golden Meadow Polo club for Felix and Lina's story and Jolie Dunn did not disappoint. Lina is Golden Meadows good girl who suddenly has a new employee -- hotheaded playboy Felix. Let me just start by saying that the dynamic between these two is just so INCREDIBLE. The hilarious banter, Felixs witty remarks just to push Linas buttons, and Linas sharp comebacks are everything we want in a forced proximity romance story. From the very first chapter, it is evident that Felix and Lina are special and that their love story is going to be epic... and trust me it is! Maggie and Jack from book one also make a lot of appearances throughout Appealed which was so fun and just reiterates the found family element within the series.

One thing that I think Jolie does really well in her stories is incorporating real life struggles into her characters which makes them feel like a close friend. The way that Felix really pursues Lina and the choices he makes to ensure that Lina feels safe, supported and loved was just beautiful. I feel like a lot of people will connect with Lina as we see her struggle in maintaining her composure and always feeling the need to please others. Her personal growth was so moving and I loved seeing Felix step into the role of encourager and supporter. Felix also does a lot of self reflection in this story and it was sweet seeing him really reframe his priorities and goals. Jolie Dunn really does a phenomenal job creating clear points of view with her characters and it will make you feel every emotion as you walk alongside them. This series is just outstanding and I can't wait to see where Jolie takes these characters next.

“It wasn’t the charming town in Wyoming that had stolen my heart. It was the girl I found in it.”

I could not wait for Felix and Lina’s story. We get so much more into the mysterious sunshine girl Lina, and we learn more about the playboy Felix. These two absolutely balance each other out I really enjoyed their dynamic the banter was fun and also encouraging to see Lina step out of her people pleasing shell. There was a lot of growth between these characters individually and together. Lina is a people pleaser she is the yes girl will take care of everyone but herself, Felix is more outspoken about protecting those he cares about and his team. Which gets him in trouble which lands him working for Lina, but this is what she needs. Felix is the playboy won’t let anyone too close until Lina he feels that connection but she is pushing away very much push pull relationship and cannot wait for more of this Polo series.

Lina trains young polo players, she is very organized, and she loves what she does. She has her boundaries, and she likes her life just the way that it is. Well until Felix Aguado walks into her barn. It just so happens that they kissed six months ago, and he is her only hope at keeping her polo school running smoothly.

Felix is a Polo player, and he gets in trouble whether he is on the field or off. When his temper gets him into trouble one too many times, he is given an ultimatum. Work at the polo school and save his career or lose his career. I’ve never really been around polo, except what I’ve seen on TV, and I think that this book really did a good job teaching the sport.

The dynamic between these two is fantastic. It was funny how Felix would make witty remarks just to get under Lina’s skin, and her comebacks made those scenes. The first chapter of their book showed that their story was going to be different, and they were meant to be together. It is interesting to see how when we first meet Felix, he was a playboy, but when he meets Lina all of that changes and he wants to show her who he really is. Lina’s character grew a lot through her story and Felix was right there to encourage her. This was a well written book, and I always enjoy watching a playboy fall for his soul mate.

I really enjoyed this horse immersive story! I really loved the schooling barn setting which brought back such great memories of when I learned how to ride. The polo aspect was unique and different from the usual ranch/cowboy focused romances. I absolutely loved how horsemanship and care was paramount with both characters throughout the story.

I really liked Lina. She was really relatable to me, I fully understand how hard it can be to prove yourself in the equine industry. I liked her grit and determination while also being caring and empathetic. I really loved how she always put the horses first.

I don't know a whole lot about Polo specifically, but I'm involved in other horse sports and I've known a few riders like Felix. He came across as quite typical for the ego so his behavior didn't surprise me. I did enjoy how much he grew as a character and I didn't mind his ego coming down a few pegs.

I really enjoyed this story. It was real and emotional while also having some cute and funny moments. The writing was well done and the story was entertaining and engaging. I would recommend it!!

I just finished the ARC of this new polo sports romance. It is book 2 in the Golden Meadow series and I now MUST go back and read book 1!

I love that this story takes place in a polo school and doesn't focus on the professional version of polo. While Felix is a professional player he is suspended for his attitude and is forced to help Lina run her school and he gets to see a whole other side of his favorite sport. He learns so much while helping tech the kids and finds another aspect to love.

Felix and Lina are definitely good for each other and help to balance each other out and it is fantastic to see how the help each other grow throughout the book.

I absolutely love the small town , everyone helps everyone vibe that thrives in Golden Meadow. ESPECIALLY after we go back to California with Lina. There is such a great found family and Lina really deserves to have these amazing people in her corner.

My only con is the over use of the nickname boss. I understand that we are routing for Lina to take control, but for me it goes overboard just a little.

This was a fun read and I cannot see wait for the next one!!

Managing the polo school is everything that Lina has always wanted even if it isn’t always easy. She will do anything for those she cares about and never wants to disappoint anyone which comes with it’s own set of challenges. She now finds herself working with Felix, a man she shared one memorable kiss with a year earlier, who knows exactly what to do and say to infuriate her.

Felix finds his career as a professional polo player in jeopardy when he once again draws negative attention. In order to redeem himself he finds himself working at the polo school where it will bring Lina back into his life. He knows exactly what to say to get a reaction but as he spends time with her he sees a different side of her and want to protect her from everyone and everything including her good intentions.

Felix is exactly who Lina needs in her life as he gives her the strength to make changes in her life while she is the stabilizing influence in his life that allows him to take a good look at his actions and realize what really matters.

Let me start off with I am NOT a contemporary romance reader I like them dark, I mean the darker the better but thanks to a random click on a random email I fell into reading Jolie Dunn and I have not be disappointed.

I love her Golden Meadow Polo Club series. The first book missed some energy that I feel like this one definitely made up for. Felix and Lina's story is a great love story of not one but two misinterpreted people living through their own struggles to please others. I love that it wasn't one sided focusing on one character overcoming their issue to become a better person but rather that both characters were fighting their battles but it was once they were together that they finally had the strength to overcome it fully.

Overall a beautiful contemporary romance story.

"You’re all I want Lina Averbeck. My mornings, my nights. My angry moments and my happiest ones. You’re more important to me than anything else. I want to be wherever you are."

Cocky Player, Perfect Heroine and A Kiss that started it all!!!
This emotionally and full of sensual situation romance by Jolie Dunn is so sweet and Appealing. Felix Aguado, Cocky and Sexy Polo Player is everything Lina wish to stay away from, but he is also something she can’t stay away from and what started this all is a Kiss, One Kiss in Dark that Lina thinks Felix doesn’t know who the person was who kissed him but when they are forced in a situation by fate to work together, sparks grow, feelings grow and there is magnetic pull between each other that make it hard for both to stay away from each other.
The book is very easy and simple to read, the way Jolie has made perfect blend of couple, and it works so positively for this story. Both Lina and Felix are perfectly imperfect, and Felix and his words, Lina’s blush and strong chemistry is more than enough to keep reader love the story, characters and hooked till the end. In my opinion, it’s very delightful enemies to love, Sunshine love story.

Felix and Lina meet a year prior at a party and have an incredibly memorable kiss. They didn’t exchange names but Felix knew exactly who it was and he couldn’t forget it. A year past and due to an outburst during his polo match, his coach decides he needs to go work with Lina at her polo training facility for kids. Lina is typically a very happy person, but Felix just pushes her buttons and she voices her opinions that she usually keeps to herself. Eventually they realize their push and pull is their chemistry and he allows her room to be herself. He also accompanies her on a trip to see her family to help give her the courage to continue to stand her ground. During all these events they find their moments and chemistry ignites. Can their relationship survive the changes to his polo career? I love the storyline and the way both Felix and Lina support each other and allow the other space to find themselves and be exactly who they are.

I’m Loving this Polo Series!!

Felix is a professional polo player from Argentina. He has worked very hard to get where he is, but has become a bit arrogant. A red card throwing him out of a game has his sponsor suspending him, and requiring him to work at the local polo school.

Lina Averbeck runs Golden Meadow Polo School. She walked away from her family years ago, and has a lot of back story the reader slowly learns. Her partner is on maternity leave, so she desperately needs help. She just wished it wasn’t Felix.

Felix begins to see through the facade that Lina presents. That everything is “fine”. He pushes her, is a release valve, and a protective influence. Serious conversations, life fears and goals, and a possible future. But a polo player never stays in one place very long. Totally enthralled with this story!

⭐ 4-Star Review: Appealed by Jolie Dunn ⭐

Appealed is a charming, emotionally satisfying read that blends slow-burn tension, wit, and heartfelt character growth in all the right ways. Jolie Dunn delivers a romance that feels grounded yet swoony, with just enough spice to keep things interesting without overshadowing the genuine connection between the characters.

I loved how layered the leads were — both flawed, both learning, both trying to navigate life while figuring out what they really want. Their chemistry builds steadily, and the banter had me smiling more than once. The emotional moments land well, and the pacing keeps you pulled in from start to finish.

While there were a few spots that felt a bit predictable, the overall experience was still incredibly enjoyable. If you love character-driven romances with real heart, a touch of heat, and satisfying personal growth, this one is definitely worth picking up.

Golden Meadows is a special place but can it bring two people together who try to avoid each other at all costs?

Appealed is fun, sweet, and inspiring as Lina and Felix start seeing each other in a different light. I enjoyed them as side characters in the first book, but I loved them as the main characters.

From start to finish, Felix and Lina shine in their own special way. The tension, the banter, and the pining is top notch through the entire story line. Felix’s support of Lina showing her true self to those around her is inspiring and is something a lot of us wish for. Lina’s journey is hard, but with the unexpected support of Felix and the family she has made at Golden Meadow, it was fun watching her come out of her shell.

I loved Felix and Lina and know you will, too. Come join them and the rest of the crew at Golden Meadows. I can’t wait to see what’s next.

Appealed is the second story in the Golden Meadow Polo series. It is an entertaining and well-written story.

Felix is a Polo player who gets in a lot of trouble. He has a temper and he is with a different woman all the time. After one too many times with his temper, his coach gives him the choice to go work at a Polo training facility. He the comes face to face with Lina. She and Felix had met a year prior at a party and shared a kiss. Once she has to work with Felix, he pushes her buttons. They realize that the push and pull to each other is their chemistry.

I enjoyed Felix and Lina's story. Their chemistry was great and I loved how they had such good banter. Enjoyed this one and look forward to the next one.

Thank you Greys promo and Jolie Dunn for the arc.
This book had a few of my favorite tropes!!
-Sports Romance
-Forced Proximity
-Small Town Romance
-Player Reformed
Felix Aguado is a player. A confident polo player who has a new girl every weekend. His temper is his downfall and causes him to be sent away to work at the polo school.
Lina Averbeck is a people pleaser for a t and is crazy about organization. All of this goes down the drain when Felix shows up to work at her polo school.
The drama and the tension in this book had me hooked. I can’t wait for everyone to read this one!!

On StoryGraph, I gave this a 3.5 since Goodreads does not have partial stars available.

This book is an interesting take on opposites attract, featuring the polar opposite characters, Lina and Felix!

While the story takes a moment to get going, it definitely picks up as you read. The conflict felt realistic and was interesting enough to keep me hooked. The banter and tension are done well in this story, and I'm excited to see Jolie Dunn sharpen those skills even more with her next book!

This is the second book in this impressive series, and this is Felix and Lina’s story.
Felix is a womanizing polo player, and when his temper gets the best of him, he is banished to work at the polo school, where his new boss is Lina. Lina likes her life organized, and she dislikes Felix, and is immune to his charms.
This is a well written story which friendships, emotions, forced proximity, tension, danger, intrigue, reformed player, enemies / lovers, humour, witty banter, undeniable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, addictive page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

I received this Appealed as an ARC and it delivered. Let's even say scored. 👀

I loved every second of this book. I've never played, watched, or heard of polo before before reading this book and I still enjoyed it. I will also say it didn't feel like a book. I felt like I was truly given a glimpse of someone else's love story and I was honored to be a part of it.

The way that Lina would lower her facade with Felix and the way he would slowly chip away at her exterior was perfection.

I also took about 80 screen shots of quotes that I enjoyed. The banter was adorable.

My husband and myself enjoyed this book.

Jolie Dunn is a new author to me, and Appealed is the second book in her Golden Meadow Polo series. The story is set in the small town of Golden Meadow, Wyoming . I did read the first book as I was unfamiliar with both the author, and the world of horses and polo players- I'm glad that I did since I gained some insight into the sport and the characters. It was a very enjoyable read, but a little long. For someone who loves horses, and maybe knows a little about polo, the extra detail might be more appreciated. It was however, still a beautiful romance between playboy Felix and sunny Lina (complete with a HEA).

Another lovely read from Jolie Dunn. This time Felix struggles to keep his temper when he disagrees with a call during his polo match. He is promptly suspended and made to work with Lina teaching children how to play.
Lina has a very complex family and is tricked to visit them and has to confront her upbringing and lifestyle she has worked hard to detach herself from, all this in the view of Felix who accompanied her home.
It was lovely to follow their love story and how they both taught each other things to make the relationship work and how they both taught both listened and learned.

Appealed is a warm, energetic sports romance that completely charmed me. I loved the contrast between the heroine’s calm, orderly life in Golden Meadow and Felix’s bold, magnetic presence—their chemistry is instant but still builds in a believable, satisfying way. The polo setting feels fresh and fun, and Jolie Dunn’s writing has an easy flow that kept me invested.

Some plot beats are a bit predictable, but the heart, humor, and slow-burn tension more than make up for it. Overall, this is a delightful, feel-good read perfect for anyone who loves charismatic athletes, small-town vibes, and romance with real sweetness.

ARC review 🫣

I did take a while with this one, not because I wasn’t enjoying it, but because I’m in university and had a LOT going on academically 🥸
I must say, as an equestrian myself, I absolutely loved the care they had for the horses and the research that went into this!
The one aspect that bothered me was the Spanish 😬
As someone that speaks pretty well and is familiar with the grammar (it’s similar to Portuguese) there were some frases that definitely would have made sense in English but the order of the words (and some of the words themselves) did not make sense in Spanish 🫣
Also, the MMC bothered me in the beginning because he was very cocky and self-absorbed

Thank you greys for this ARC of Appealed!

This is my first book by this author and I really enjoyed it and her writing style. It was super cute and had emotional drama. It had a couple of my favorite tropes- forced proximity and reformed playboy 😌 I will always LOVE it when a MMC changes his ways for the woman that he wants. 😍

I loved the tension and banter between Felix and Lina. The story had a great build up and character development. Overall I will reccomend this book and will want to continue the series 🤗

Felix and Lina seem to be total opposites of each other, with him being hot-headed while she is always smiley. Despite that, as they work closely together, they start to influence each other positively.

It was so satisfying to see Lina’s progress as she starts to stand up for herself and to speak out when she is being treated unfairly. As for Felix, his maturity shines through after his humbling experience working with Lina.

What was just lust soon turns into more for the fiery couple, and I loved how things ended.

This was book two in the golden meadow polo series. Another great book about a sport you don’t see a lot in books. I liked the story, it is well written and I love that, just like in the first book, Jolie's love for horses is so palpable in the book. It makes the sport come alive and the book so believable!

I loved the connection and chemistry between Felix and Lina. I always love it when you hate the MMC in the beginning of the book, but in the end he turns out to be the perfect book boyfriend! I enjoyed reading this book and I can’t wait for the next one!

Overall I’m giving this 3.5/5
Spice is 3/5

Felix and Lina have the history for a second chance romance; they have the enemies to lovers vibes. The forbidden love vibes of employees and boss. However, there is so much other family drama it made it hard for me to enjoy the banter and story. Plus I’ve never read a polo story and it just doesn’t seem to click with me. It does have open door spice and it has the great workings of a great story I just didn’t vibe with the family drama and polo aspect.

I was so ready to go back to Golden Meadows and see Felix's story. Felix is definitely the polo bad boy and he ends up getting removed from his team until he gets himself together. The banter between him and Lina was great and I was glad to see how good Lina was for him. Seeing how well they worked together while teaching all the adorable kids was so heartwarming. I am so excited to see where Jolie takes us next!

this book was pretty cute. Felix and Lina were good characters that came together after Felix gets into trouble. so he's sent in her direction to help.
I'm glad that this books main focus wasn't on polo, otherwise it would've lost me.
but overall I enjoyed the banter between the two the story development, and the description was great. it really allowed you to see what was taking place and not just read it.
