Very good book for creative students. I feel that it alienates account service and planning departments but overall gives great insight to anyone hoping to enter the field of advertising.
Good, casual book compiling questions, answers, and insights into the world of advertising. Authors Nancy Vonk and Janet Kestin are very colloquial/casual in the way they write, so that makes the book easy to read. However, after reading this book, I have come to the realization that perhaps I am not meant to pursue a path in advertising as I had thought I would. Therefore, this book was helpful for me in figuring out what I want in terms of a career.
I have never been a reader and just recently start being a mature adult (I'm a work in progress) but for those who want to explore the world of advertising, I strongly encourage you to read this book
Solid advice to people wanna break into the advertising industry. Read it if you are determined to break into the most competitive industry. Persistence Pays !!
Really depressing (but truthful) account of how difficult it is to break into the world of creative advertising. The format is a mixture of narrative, short stories and Q&A's.
