After a group of young childhood friends in 1957 are drawn, by extraordinary recurring visions, to a remote corner in their neighborhood in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where aliens land in their spaceship, they attempt to make contact with its alien intelligence from within their "unidentified flying object". They refuse to accept explanations from local officials for what they encountered...what they know, for a fact, to be a strange spacecraft...and are prepared (fueling the same increasing obsession that drive them each to emotional breaking points) to give up their lives to pursue the truth about UFOs. Desperate to understand what they have experienced, every one of them finds allies in each other, who believe that their whole community is in danger of being abducted by aliens! But when they meet one of those extra-terrestrials and befriend him, they attempt to help their new companion contact his home planet so that he might be rescued. Meanwhile, men dressed in black suits who are claiming to be scientists and government agents, are searching for a breakthrough in human-alien communication and are determined to apprehend the alien life-form...and others of his kind...for their own Which results in an adventure greater than any of them could have imagined!
