Salvatore was a member of the Caruso family, known as a notorious hacker on the web. Valerie was an unemployed gamer who self-appointed herself on the neighborhood watch. The high demands of his job had him buying a home as a getaway retreat. The accusation of her being a hacker drew the attention of a famous one. He just happened to live next door. She just wanted to clear her name.
I’m The Great Salvatore. I’m just a gamer girl.

Hey! My name is Sarah Brianne and after living for twenty-two years the characters in my head told me enough was enough and I have finally put pen to paper (or is it finger to keyboard?) to tell their stories. Since I was a little girl I have watched every chick flick I could get my hands on, then when I became older I discovered a whole new world of romance novels. To me there is nothing better then a tale of true love and those are the stories that have inspired me to write. Like everything else in my life I have put my own spin on two lovers destined to be together.
Reading this felt less like diving into a gripping mafia romance and more like stumbling into a parody where a wannabe mobster inexplicably falls for a girl who thinks playing games makes her a “nerd.” The scenes were so over-the-top ridiculous, I honestly had to double-check that I wasn’t reading a satire.
What makes it worse? This series is actually one of my favorites. Which makes this particular installment feel like the awkward cousin who showed up uninvited and brought chaos to an otherwise lovely family reunion.
This book is a ride. A fun, wild, hacker-meets-nerdy-gamer-girl, mafia kind of ride. If you like your romance full of banter, big personalities, quiet protectors, and two misfits falling into something real, Salvatore is exactly what you’re looking for. Valerie and Salvatore don’t just fall in love they crash into each other and somehow make it work. And honestly? I ate it up.
No matter how long it’s been since I last entered Brianne’s world of Luciano’s and Caruso’s, I always fall back in love with my favorite characters. If I had to describe this book in one word it would be brightness. I absolutely adore Valerie and her ability to just make everyone melt. Her effervescent personality, for me, made this book. I know the MMC is Sal, but the real MVP is Valerie. Thank you, Sarah Brianne, for yet another amazing story!
This was a really fun and quick read. I like most of the books in this series, and it was lovely to see familiar faces. Sal and Val were truly charming together, and I laughed a lot. I am still hoping that Amo will get a Book, since I think at this point, he has suffered enough and deserves someone for himself.
I like it. Sal feels like an afterthought, but its still cute. I do wonder and hope for Matthias' story. But as for now its the end of the series. I'll just have to wait and see.
