I've been debating whether or not to leave a review for my own book...it's a little weird, right?

This isn't so much a review, more a thank you. A thank you to the character's for doing their thing and telling me their story, a thank you to every one that has read the story, and a preemptive thank you to every one that will go on to read this story.

If you have read my first two novels, Fate's Love and Love's Spark, you'll know that Loyalty and Lies is my first attempt at stepping away from safe and comfortable, to write something grittier, edgier, and even a little darker. It is by no means a dark romance, but the mystery and intrigue built around Chastity Falls can feel a little dark at times.

I loved writing this story... it pushed me to new heights and challenged me to feel...! I hope it does the same for you!

Fans of Young/New Adult will no doubt love this tale of secrets and lies.

Savannah 'Ana' Parry has arrived in Chastity Falls to attend college far from home and the heartbreaking events that took her family away from her.

Jackson Pierce is the mysterious man who captures her attention and makes her smile for the first time in 18 months. The small town life she was hoping for is not what she gets when she realises that the Donahue family seem to be the rulers and she has unwittingly flown straight into their radar.

Fellow students Braiden and Briony Donahue make it their mission to stop Jackson from seeing Ana and will stop at no lengths to prevent her from discovering the family secrets and Jackson will stop at nothing to protect her.

_ _ _ _

I thought this was a decent enough read, but I thought the heroine was a bit too naive and accepting of Jackson's secret life. If that were me I'd a been saying thanks but no thanks, come back to me when you can stop hiding me and tell me what the hell is going on in this town. I'd say it was bordering on YA/NA but there were some great sexy scenes. I felt that the characters were a bit lacking in depth but perhaps seeing as this is a series, we will get to delve further into their personalities in the next instalment.

Told solely in Ana's POV, this ends on a cliffhanger.

I was pretty engrossed in this one. She's 19, a college freshman (at a college that reminded me so much of Forks High school I was half expecting someone to turn bloodsucker) traumatised by a past we only find out about gradually. He blows hot and cold, pushing her away for her own sake then sneaking into her dorm the next.

I quite liked the mystery vibe in this, it kept me guessing and I was fascinated by the football team that seemed to hold the entire population of the town in its thrall. The cast of characters was lively and varied, but I did lose track of who was who a few times - it was a bit of a pain to keep track of who belonged to which gang and who was banging who.

This one's free but it ends on a cliffhanger with nothing resolved and there are a few more books to read to get the whole story. I may return to them at some point if I'm in a ya mood.

I think this book was amazing. Such a departure from Cotton's other books, and so intense and interesting and twisty turny. I will admit, I am not the biggest NA/YA fan, not anymore, but this book had me from the get go. I mean, with a name like "Chastity Falls", you HAVE to be interested, I don't care who you are.

I loved the descriptions in the book, I could picture everything so clearly, like a picture was perfectly painted. I loved the development and the mystery and that feeling of "I have to know what's going to happen" that went through the whole book.

And of course, I love love LOVED Jackson. You HAVE to love Jackson, this is not an option.

One click this book, you won't regret it. To say I can't wait for book two, would be an understatement.

No idea what is the story about and I can not develop any connection towards the character. It seems like NA romance with a lot of drama and twist like soap opera.

Listen until half of it, then give up.

If you are looking for a story that will delight you with its unique plot and that will draw you into its world from the very beginning, then you should definitely not miss this book. But be prepared to commit to some time, as this is only the first part of a wonderful series.
Seeking her place in this world, fleeing as far away from home as possible, Savannah Parry tries to start a new life in Chasity Falls. New school, new friends ... maybe a new life she wants so much. Away from everything, away from her past that haunts her day and night. But even the best plans do not go smoothly. When she draws the attention of the handsome Jackson, when the past begins to mingle with the present when secrets become the main driver of events, here begins the real plot, along with a spark that awakens between them. But is that enough? Can their relationship prosper in the spotlight or will the Donahues take away their shot at happiness?
This author amazes me with her ability to convey feelings and sensations in such a way that no matter how much you resist, it pulls you into the world she has created. And it forces you to turn the pages eagerly, trying to find out what happens next. The main characters are well presented, and the dialogues between them are perfectly balanced, which fully contributes to the completeness of the whole book. Every single character is so complete and you will even fall in love with the secondary characters, especially Elena. Savannah, a girl who amazes us with her strength and determination. Seemingly an ordinary student, and yet a tormented soul whose story wakens a variety of emotions in the reader. The mysterious Jackson is simply the perfect couple for her. And a perfect douchebeg at times. One of those characters that you want to hug and punch at the same time. And the two together are absolute perfection, two souls that complement and heal their wounds.
With a perfect balance of mystery and romance, this book will delight you with its freshness and descriptive writing style. Perfect choice for all those who enjoy a romance that is well seasoned with tension and angst.

Wow!

This is my second read of this book and I was even more gripped than the first.

Reading as part of a box set.

L.A Cotton has the amazing ability to help the reader picture every scene.

Chastity Falls is based around a college and with L.A Cottons description I was completely taken there.

The darkness of the place, the eeriness, a place swamped in secrets, lies and mystery that not only surrounded the town but the people and a family that hold power within the town.

Chastity Falls is so much more than your usual college romance and I was completely enraptured with the dissimilarity compared to books that have been based around college's before. .

This isn't just a teen romance, I haven't read anything like this before, it almost has a gangster mafia feel. Two rival towns, two rival boss's, two family's and a forbidden teenage love story in the midst of it all.

Jackson was taken in by the Donahue's when his father died while with his best friend on a job Marcus Donahue. There's no secret that the Donahue's play a big part of the crime scene in Chastity falls or that they have those in authority in their pockets, even in the high school his son Braiden runs the show and Jackson was his right hand man until his eyes fell on a girl who arrived on campus with just one bag.

Jackson: My beautiful broken girl all I wanted to do was piece her back together.

The Donahue's have a very close knit circle and when Jackson falls for Ana they have to keep it a secret, its forbidden to let anyone else in that circle and you don't get to leave.

A plot filled with suspense,danger,unpredictability in a place surrounded by secrets,lies,mystery, controlled by a family, a family Jackson is apart of and Jackson has some decisions to make for Ana's safety.

I loved the plot told in dual pov's, I'm looking forward to reading the outcome in the second book and following Jackson and Anna's story.

I liked this book but didn't love it as much as I wanted too. I felt this book was on the borderline of New Adult/Young Adult even though it has sex scenes I thought they were very light.

It was a decent read but I thought Savannah was to trusting, she just meets the guy and she's willing to go with him to grab coffee. And I hated the fact that Jackson didn't let nothing out so we don't know him
at, but of this is a series we might find something out in the next two book. I just wasnt impressed with it as much as everyone did. I'm jealous that everyone got into this book unlike I did

*****REVIEW COPY RECEIVED FOR HONEST REVIEW********

The cover first of all is very attractive and I could one-click it on the basis of cover only. This is the first book I have read by the author and I have to say she captivated me from the start till the end. She captured the emotion of the girl, Savannah from the start. You could literally feel the pain radiating from her and wanting to know what happened to her. When you get to her story I bet you will feel. My heart felt for and it was so shocking and painful. I read and read to know if she gets better and she does and yes there is a man who has his own secrets and loyalty. I was pissed at him when Ana got pissed because of what he did but II also forgave him when Ana did because I wanted both of them happy. This book has depth and intensity in which you will fall and fall deep.

The secondary characters were good ad entertaining and everyone would like to have Elena as friend! I suggest put this on your TBR and read as soon as it releases! It is so good!!

Love angsty stuff...

College romance based on the typical popularity trope of damaged lonely plain jane meets mega hot and popular dude from the inner sanctum of untouchable god-like echelons of the social constructs of school... you know the drill.

It was well written and interesting. But the character were a little OTT with the shit they did and how they pulled it off. The heroine was way too pathetic and the hero, way too somewhat naive?! Like, clueless of how his actions would have repercussions. I dunno. I'm trying here, but the book has a massive damn cliffhanger, so my review will hopefully be clearer for second book.

Not stellar... But, hey...I needed some angst.

„In another life I would have stolen your heart and never returned it.”

Holy mother of angst! Honestly, I have no clue why it took me so long to start reading this series, but I’m so glad that I finally did! It’s an angsty, steamy perfection. Loyalty and Lies is filled to the brim with suspense, mysteries and delicious anticipation for the unknown. Chastity Falls sucked me in and honestly, I don’t want to leave!

Savanah, despite heartbreaking life experiences, is a real fighter. Although she is withdrawn and distrustful at first, I admire her for her determination to leave the past behind and to start over. She's a really good girl, full of contradictions- on the one hand she's vulnerable, but still strong. One moment she seems scared and reserved, and the other she is brave and inquisitive. I loved the development of her character.

Jackson was a walking mystery from the beginning, but he was also completely irresistible. He’s a protective and caring guy, whose loyalty has no bounds. He'll do anything for his close ones, even if he has to sacrifice his own happiness. He’s enigmatic, charismatic and so swoon-worthy!

Even though their connection was kind of cursed from the start, I loved to see how beautifully they complemented each other. This couple oozes passion and longing. Unfortunately, building a relationship on lies and secrets is impossible, so Ana and Jackson had a lot of obstacles to face.

This college romance made me completely hooked. I was cheering on Jackson and Ana’s romance and I was kept at the edge of the seat because of the suspense. So far the storyline is brilliant and I cannot wait to reveal all of the secrets and I’m keeping my fingers crossed for the main couple! The ending totally knocked me down, so I’m diving straight into the next installment!

**TARA'S REVIEW**

5 Banana Shake Stars

Secrets, everyone has them, problem is, if they are big enough they eventually get in the way of your happiness.

Running from tragedy, Savanah (Ana) moves across the country to head to what she believes to be her peace. A small quiet college town where no one will know the reasons she is running.

That is until Jackson walks into her life, and brick by brick, takes down the wall she has built around herself.

"Ana, I'm no good for you. Stay away."-Jackson

Jackson has secrets of his own, ones that force him to live his life hiding from the people who are supposed to be his "family". His secrets threaten to ruin the one relationship that finally makes him feel whole again.

"In another life, I would have stolen your heart and never returned it."-Jackson

When things in this tiny college town come to boil, will Ana and Jackson be strong enough to weather the storm?

~~~~~~~~~~
WOW!!! I will start by saying that as the title states, this is part one of a series. With that being said, the finality of this story will not be complete by reading just this book. Though all will not be answered in book one, it is still an amazing start to a series that you will want to have in your life.
This story sucked me in from the first few pages, the first night I read until my eyes were too heavy to continue only getting to 25%. The second night I was so enthralled in the story that I read the remainder of the book in one sitting, staying up until 5:30am, holding my eyes open because I just had to see where things would go.
To say there is angst in this story is an understatement. The many secrets will have you pulled in and wanting to know more. There were more then a few times that I was holding my breathe and willing myself to read faster because I just needed to know.
The characters were well developed, and the storyline was unique and easy to follow. I am so looking forward to the next book to see how things turn out for everyone in the book.
If you love a good mystery/romance with a ton angst, breath holding, and the inability to put it down, this book is for you
Receiving ARC's from authors is such an honour and privilege. And i was so glad to have received an ARC for this book Loyalty and Lies.
I read it from beginning to end in one night. It had me hooked.
We meet Savannah, who has moved right across country leaving her past behind her ( i won't say what happens cause that would be giving too much away, and i totally dislike spoilers) She meets "Jackson" and for the first time in over a year, she starts to feel something. But can these two be together, they are both hiding secrets... will their romance bloom...or will it come crashing down on them??? When some secrets are revealed are they both strong enough to endure?
This book is part of a series, so it does end leaving you wanting more... but like any television series, you just have to wait patiently for the next part. The story flowed really well, and you kept wanting to turn the page...I did message the author when i finished it, saying I DON'T KNOW WHETHER TO DISLIKE YOU <----- cause of the ending OR LOVE YOU <------ because the whole book had me hooked and left me wanting more and i want book two NOW NOW NOW
this is the first book i have read of L.A Cotton and it certainly will NOT be the last!
Wow! What a book of secrets L.A. Cotton has given us with Loyalty and Lies!
Savannah Parry is as far away from home as she can get, trying to run away from the past that haunts her daily. New school, new friends and hopefully new life. While wanting a single room in the dorms, she didn't get it and realizes it just may be a blessing in disguise. Ana's roommate Elena ends up being the perfect Yin to her Yang, outgoing and ready to party. After spending the last sixteen months in a painful haze, Ana is ready to move forward in college and act as normal as possible. Easier said than done. After attending a party at the football teams house, Ana realizes that Chastity Falls Academy may not be what it seems. While she researched the school before applying, she didn't research the town and its locals.
One interesting local is Jackson. With a painful past of his own, he recognizes when others are carrying something that's weighing their mind down as well. Seeing Ana keep to herself, not laugh or smile has Jackson intrigued, so he approaches carefully. Hoping to meet her and maybe have some coffee, Jackson slips Ana a note (so cute!) and a little romance starts to blossom.
Ana is cautious of Jackson as things around him just don't add up. He wants to see her, but only in secret and she can't ask any questions. She isn't a fan of this at first, however realizes she can impose the same rules and not talk about her past right away either. So she goes with it. Jackson makes her actually feel again, while scary, it's something Ana never thought would happen and it makes her fall fast for the mystery boy.
"in another life I would have stolen your heart and never returned it." ~ Jackson
It just can't be and she doesn't know why. There is something huge in Jackson's past that he is protecting Ana from. She doesn't understand, but as more and more comes out about his family and the town, Ana actually wonders what she's gotten herself into. She feels so alive around Jackson, however she has to decide if her heart can take it.
"Sure, Jackson had started to heal some of the brokenness in me, but now those cracks were slowly being ripped open again, replaced with new scars." ~ Ana
Loyalty and Lies is well written and action packed until the very end. L.A. Cotton did a brilliant job executing the story, leaving me wanting more of Jackson and Ana.
This book got my attention from the beginning. I was hooked. This book gets you from the opening. I wanted to know about Ana, who was she, why was she so far from her world and more importantly how the hell did she lose her everything.
Jackson, oh my word. He is our hero from the beginning. He is there to help on the first day of class. He is gorgeous, so handsome and helpful and we just lose our breath when he's around.
Eventually, he asks us to go out for coffee. We go but we have guilt. Guilt is always with us. We are hurting and feel like any positive feeling or emotion is something we are not worthy of. Elena, is Ana's college roommate. That girl is a riot!!!! She plays a huge part in Ana's life, helps her to grow and get out of whatever black hole she seems to live in.
Jackson is also a weird staple in Ana's life. He makes her laugh and makes her feel. She hasn't felt anything in a long time. But, there is just something up with him. He acts weird. He never is around with Ana in places where other are. He acts different with her when other are around, their relationship/friendship seems like a secret.
Well, these two have crazy secrets. This book has us wanting to know what the mystery is. What is it that they are hiding? How will they each react when each others secrets are revealed? These two are so young and have lived through so much pain that they truly deserve to have their happily ever after. Well, those are only in fairy tales, right?
This truly is a modern tale of Romeo and Juliet. Two people that deserve to be together but for reasons beyond their control can't be. This book is a different side of L.A. Cotton and I truly enjoyed it. We, the reader, got to see a different side of her. A growth as a writer. Her work is amazing and this just shows how a writer can grow and mature in their art. I can't wait for the next installment. I need to know what happens with our love birds and if they will get the ending they deserve.
Bravo L.A. Cotton, you blew me away with this book.
" But with that kind of solace came the memories. Like an unstoppable river they rushed into my mind, dragging me under with their strong current. Some comforted me, some terrified me...but every single one of them made my heart shatter"
Loyalty and Lies follows the story of Savannah and Jackson. Things have become too much for Savannah. She needs a fresh start, a chance to escape her past. So, Savannah decides to go to school three thousand miles away.
Chasity Falls is supposed to be her salvation. She hasn't smiled in so long. That all changes when she meets Jackson. Jackson brings out a side in Savannah that she thought was long gone. She finally has hope that she can heal and move on. Savannah isn't the only one who has secrets. Soon Savannah will find herself caught up in a mass of lies, fighting for her survival once more. What will happen when loyalties are tested?
I thought Loyalty and Lies was a fantastic read. I was pulled in from the very beginning. I was so intrigued by this story. I couldn't put it down! I wanted to know more about the characters. They were so easy for me to connect with. I loved watching them grow and heal one another. You could tell that Savannah and Jackson truly cared for each other and that they were desperately trying to not let their pasts catch up with them.
The quote"Loyalties will be tested and lies will be told", pretty much says it all. Loyalty and Lies had me asking so many questions and wondering what was going to happen next. I was on the edge of my seat, freaking out and falling in love all the same time. The end......Oh, man! What a cliffhanger! I can't wait to get my hands on the next book!!
I really liked this one; it was not your average love story. It reminds us that while there is always room for healing and love, it can be taken away just as quickly as it came.
While we can never outrun our past hurts, guilt of things that happened, and death… We all have the chance to let people in and start the healing process.
I really liked how the characters grow and heal each other. They both have a past that keeps them from opening up to the other completely. This makes it hard for them to truly be together. When you are forced to hide your relationship, how can you truly be together?
I am not of fan of the fact that there are so many unanswered questions. There is no HEA in this book, but the story is not over. And thank goodness! I need more Chastity Falls. I can only hope the unanswered questions are answered in the next one. ~ Devlynn, 3.5 stars
~~~

Looking at Savanah Parry, you would think she's just an ordinary college student but if you really pay attention, you can see the sadness that envelopes her on a daily basis. She's suffered so much loss for being so young that you would question if she can keep going but she does keep going, finding the strength to keep on living.

There is so much emotion in this story that had me cringing, laughing, crying and making me mad because of what each one was facing. The moments that Ana and Jackson shared had me swooning and smiling like a fool because they both deserved to have happiness.

The supporting characters are funny, like Elena, Ana's roommate. She had no filter and had me cracking up with her craziness. I will say that this story shocked me and left me wanting to throw my tablet because I needed MORE, yet I must be patient and wait until MORE is revealed soon. This does end on a cliffhanger so you have been warned. ~ Kara, 4.5 stars

Okay, so we got that ARC in exchange for an honest review and it's NOT hard at ll to write an honest review.
I think I started reading that book and it didn't take me long at all to be really glad that I am a blogger. I won't lie, in the last time we had a lot of ARCs that just made me reconsider accepting any for review, so when I started this book, I was prepared for another disappointment. Boy, am I glad that was NOT what happened.

The whole book strated out great for me since L.A. Cotton has a way of writing that makes me feel as if I'm walking right alongside Ana. Seriously, the description of the high firs, the whole area of Chastity Falls University ... It was amazing. I was sucked right into the whole story.

Then Ana and Jackson have their first date and he is all kinds of awesome. Of course he's awesome. Seriously, half of reading a romance book is about falling in love with your next Book-Boyfriend, right? And that's what happened to me. Somewhere around that time I started to write L.A. Cotton, too. After all, if I suffer, she might as well suffer, right?

As with every book, there was a WTF-moment right in the middle of the book. Chapter eight... By then though I already know where we were heading ...

The plot in this book, the tension, the characters, THE BOOK-BOYFRIEND, man, it's amazing! I will not lie though, right after the end I couldn't think. I was feeling slightly numb, and heartbroken, and totally destroyed. Seriously, this just was...

Confusing and in-congruent!
The story: I couldn't decide if it was a chicklit, or a small town mafia story, or a young adult, or a dark romance. The genre is very confusing. You keep waiting for something substantial to happen, other than the built-up and intrigue... but, it takes too long for the story to get on with it.
Built-up is good. Teases and titillates the imagination and anticipation. But, how much of it is good? Too much built-up simply ruins it! Impatience kicks in and you are tempted to just skip the rest of the story.
How I wish more authors realised this. One of the keys to writing a good book.
The story here is like the romance between the main leads -- mixed signals all the way!! You wanna shout at the two to just finish with it already!!
The characterisation: Ana is as confusing as her name - is she Ana or Savanah? Why would you give your main lead *two* names??!!
Like her names, her character is also confusing -- is she a forever scared, hunted doe, or a girl who knows what she wants and goes after it? Is she a curious person (journalist? Give me a big break!) or someone as interested as a plastic doll? Is she sexy and hot or is she a clumsy, simple girl, who seeks comfort over style?
The sexiness is conveniently pushed over on her roomie, but, as we all know, someone who doesn't dress up, wont be able to carry a sexy outfit with the remarkable ease, Ana/Savanah seems to have!
Too much importance has been given to the Fallen football team, without any proper grounds being laid for the unhealthy obsession!!
In short, this book is a chronicle of just misses! It stops short from being what it probably sought to be...

Love American college drama and this is drama at it's best. Loved Savannah, she is so strong considering her past, which was not easy, starting afresh in a new town miles away from anyone who knows her and her upsetting secret. On her first day she grabs the attention of one of the most notorious boys in Chastity Falls, Braiden Donahue, unbeknown to her she also snags the attention of his best friend, Pierce. After snubbing Braiden's advances she has made herself a target with the Donahue family who pretty much own the town. It's not long before she meets the boy of her dreams, Jackson, and she avoids anything to do with The Donahues and the Football team. All is good and Savannah slowly starts letting her barriers down and she starts feeling again. It would appear though, that everything isn't all sweetness and light. Jackson too is keeping some pretty bigs secrets, and he is not quite the person she thinks he is. Can their relationship prosper in the spotlight or will the Donahues take away their shot at happiness? Some interesting characters that I loved to hate, along with Jackson, who I loved, then hated, then loved again, no wonder Savannah has trouble dealing with his mixed emotions and his confusing loyalties. He frustrated the heck out of me at times. This book ends in quite the cliffhanger, it left me frustrated, angry and upset all at the same time. That being said I need to know what happens next, I can't wait for book 2. I was provided with a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

OMG!!! Wow!! I swear every time I read one of L.A. Cottons books I am amazed all over again! Each book is a million times better than the last and no im NOT saying they are bad they are ALL amazing!! But they just keep getting better and better!! This book goes kinda back and forth with the feelings I wanted to scream sometimes saying what are you thinking go for it! Lol and then U think everything is fine and it changes she knows how to keep you on edge and I'm already dying for the second one like now!!! Savannah(Ana) has had one heck of a rough life and she has moved to chastity falls to get as far away from her old life as she possible can but she doesn't know anything about this tiny town or college and goes in blind. Thank goodness for her roommate Elena or she would be lost on all the gossip and the rumors around the area, and another thing apparently you don mess with any of the Donnahues! They apparently run this town so Savannah's and Jackson's relationship is complicated and they can't come out about it so they have to hide it but there is a huge amount of secrets being held back and you think You have the pieces of the puzzle solved and bam your back to square one saying well crap, then....oh oh I know!!! It's an amazing read im busting at the seams for the second one already!! Way to go again L.A

***** 5 Cranky Stars *****

Loyalties and Lies is Book One in L.A. Cotton’s Chastity Falls Series. Fast paced and intriguing, this book is full of mystery, keeping the tension tight.

Moving from Florida to Oregon to escape the memories and pain of a tragedy, Savannah “Ana” Parry heads to college for a fresh start. Her criteria for colleges: the further away the better, which is the reason she finds herself at Chastity Falls Academy.

Enter Jackson, who has secrets of his own. His relationship with Ana makes her question everything she knows. She hasn’t allowed herself to feel in a very long time, too dangerous, too painful, but Jackson opens her heart.

It does end on a slight cliffhanger, but Book Two is out! Book One is Ana’s story, but Book Two is Jackson’s, and I’m looking forward to learning more about him.

I was given an ARC copy of this book for an honest review. I must admit, I wasn’t sure what to expect from Loyalty and Lies, as I knew it was very different from Cotton’s other books which I read and loved.

Where as the Love’s Spark books were quite fluffy and didn’t have so much mystery and angst, Loyalty and Lies has all of that.

The cast of characters are all strong and well rounded. Most were very likeable, but there were a couple (Anyone with the surname Donohue in particular) who were so well written, I wanted to jump into the pages and slap them.

Ana has an air of mystery around her and her decision to move across the country, which when revealed, is heartbreaking. Thankfully, Jackson Piece is on hand to help her move through it. Kind of…

Between him and Ana’s roommate Elena, Ana begins to accept her past and builds upon her inner strength. It’s just a shame that Chasity Falls itself has other ideas.

If you read this book and don’t scream in frustration at the end, you are, in my opinion, a bit odd. Put it this way. I CANNOT wait for book two in what is shaping up to be another fantastic series from L. A. Cotton.

Holy WOW, with the amount of twists and turns in this book I think I may have suffered whiplash!!! Absolutely freaking AMAZING.
I don’t think ‘it’s complicated’ really covers the relationship in this book. Ana and Jackson are definitely an intriguing couple, hiding their relationship even though it sucks, seems to make it seem really romantic at times. Climbing in through windows was a great idea.
It has been written in such a way that you can feel what Ana feels which a big thumbs up for this talented author is. She has captured the whole essence of all her characters and you even fall in love with the secondary characters. Everyone needs an Elena in their lives.
Another amazing book from LA Cotton and I really can’t wait to find out what comes next for Ana and Jackson, but trust me the cliff-hanger is a brilliant one!! I can’t wait for the second part of this (seriously end of seat stuff).

I was given an ARC copy of this book in return for an honest review . I was very excited to be getting this book in my hands as I've read L.A. Cotton's previous books and loved them both . This was a hard story to read initially as I couldn't get to grips with the characters and just couldn't get the connection that I wanted , you know, the one that grips you tight and doesn't let you go until you've finished . I decided to put the book down for a while and come back to it in a week or so's time . Do you know what ? I AM SO GLAD I DID !!!
A truly amazing story which second time around gripped hold of me tight and I devoured it in less than 24 hours ! This has left me wanting , NO, needing more and I'm also left with a serious 'Jackson' hangover !

LOVED IT !!!!!!!!!

I really enjoyed reading this book! The book takes place at a college in Chastity Falls, Oregon. Ana is from Fort Pierce, Florida and she has come to Chastity Falls to have a "fresh start", but her clothes is not the only baggage she has brought with her. While out with her roommate at the first college party of the year, she meets a mysterious guy who helps her when she gets caught in a tough/scary situation. Little does she know that Chastity Falls is a city where family loyalties and lies run deep. I can't wait to see what else L.A Cotton has in store!
