This story was well-written, realistic, engrossing, and tragic. The author is definitely skilled and I look forward to reading more from her. Recommended read.

Enjoyable and Touching

I really enjoyed reading this book. Although the storyline made me uncomfortable, I loved the strength this woman had at the end. I will definitely read the follow-up story.

This short story makes you realize how a beautiful reality can change into your worst nightmare with in blink of an eye. You can never imagine that love of your life can rip of your heart out in the worst possible manner. Forgiveness is no longer an option. Beautifully written short story.

Wow, I can’t wrap my mind around what desperate measures a person would do to pass for white back then.
