A pitch-black, taboo psychological horror where the ghosts aren't always dead… and not all sins stay hidden.
When Gloomsbury Manor calls, the dead always answer.
Dorian came back to disappear, to bury his past in the walls of a house that remembers too much. What he didn’t expect was her, his stepsister, Lenore. Now she’s grown. Wild, beautiful, just as broken, and far too close.
What they feel for each other is wrong, but love doesn’t care about rules.
Gloomsbury watches. It feeds. It whispers the truths you don’t want to hear and makes you live with them.
This isn’t a story of healing. This is a story that makes you bleed. A story that holds up a mirror and dares you to look. This is what happens when love digs its own grave… and refuses to stay buried.
Love never dies. It haunts. It becomes the ghost that stays behind.
he literally finger banged with the severed hands of her cheating boyfriend 🧎🏻♀️ if that doesn’t already have you adding this to your tbr idk what to say
wow. i’m lost for words 😩
this is not just a book about forbidden love, taboo / step siblings, ghosts and a haunted manor. it’s absolutely more than that. the words a. em. wrote shook me to my core. i grabbed onto every word like the author was speaking to me 🥹
i loved being back with dorian and lenore in this full length novel. this was absolutely everything !!
they have so much chemistry and history. they’re both broken souls who found each other. everything the went through, all the abuse and neglect from their parents just pushed them closer together. they are both crazy over each other even if lenore doesn’t admit it. dorian quite literally sacrificed himself so she wouldn’t get harmed. their love for each other is heartbreak. they find peace in the pain. but in their love they blossom 🥀
“She could be lost, and I could be her wonderland. So when she wakes up, I’m her most beautiful dream. And she can be my beautiful nightmare. Because she haunts my mind, day and night.“ -A. EM., All The Things We Buried
“And loving him is a wound I chose, because even pain with his name on it felt better than a life without it.” A. Em, All The Things We Buried
Talk about an absolute mindf*ck.. @iam_a_em did it again…she has me at a loss for words. I can’t believe this is book one because I have no idea where the story could go from here after it has ripped my heart into a million pieces, but I can’t wait to find out… @iam_a_em writing resonates with the deepest, darkest parts of you and makes you feel quite unlike any author can. She simply has this way of making you feel seen, understood, and worthy…it’s honestly quite therapeutic.
“They say overthinkers love the hardest, because we notice everything. We analyze every glance, every pause, every breath. We fall before we realize we’ve jumped. We love people before they even know they’ve been seen. But the truth is, we also hurt the most. Because we already know the ending before the story even begins. Overthinking is just preparing for the worst. So when the worst finally happens, we can tell ourselves we were ready for it.” -A. EM, All The Things We Buried
I am going to need a shelf simply dedicated to her works of arts. Go read this series immediately…you really don’t know what you’re missing out on.
I need a moment to process how much this book has destroyed me and broken my heart. Once again, A managed to make me cry — again — with a book, a story, a message. This book isn’t just a forbidden and taboo love story; it’s so much more.
I don’t know how to write this review without spoilers, because I feel like anything I say will reveal too much about the characters’ journey — Lenore and Damian, how their love grows, their chemistry, everything they’ve been through, how broken they are. Honestly, I have no idea how to explain it without giving something away.
So just read the book, please, because you won’t regret it. And not only this one, but all of A’s books, because every single one of them has something that hits you. Something that touches your heart, gets under your skin, reaches your soul — and of course destroys you, breaks your heart, and makes you cry.
I didn't think ANOTHER book, that I really did end up loving so much, could hurt me so deeply. Then 'All the Things We Buried' dropped... And my God's, I wasn't prepared. Just like its prequel, this one definitely took me longer to read than it should have. I had to put this one down multiple times, the same way I did with WTDTB, to at least cry and process, or even go read something else altogether to take my mind off it. Lenore and Dorian's story is just as dark, if not more so, through his point of view. Not only do we get to see her through his eyes, we also learn more about his past, why he is the way he is and what he's suffered. We also begin to drudge up secrets that should have long stayed buried on Gloomsbury's grounds.
Something about Lenore just resonates with me, on a deep level. Her silence. The ghosts haunting not just the house, but her heart and mind as well. Her ability to feel so deeply, yet keep so much hidden deep inside. Pain, torment, regret, shame, guilt, fear. I've struggled with my own mental health and I just feel like I understand her. And for the same reason, I also feel as if I understand Dorian on a much deeper level, as well. He struggles with the same inner demons as his stepsister, on top of sacrificing so much of himself to keep her safe. Their love and their story is taboo and at times uncomfortable, but they are two characters whom I both love and hate, as I both love and hate myself. They are very dear to my heart, and thus, so are both books. 'All the Things We Buried' will be forever burned into my heart and soul. Both it and its prequel remind me that I might be broken, but I am still seen, still worthy of love and care.
Now, as much as I personally LOVED this book, it is still very dark and covers some very dark, triggering topics and themes, such as:
And more. This story is definitely not going to be for everyone, and I highly suggest that you please go over the trigger list and content warnings very thoroughly. Make sure you're not risking your own mental well-being over a book.
And that brings me to my personal favorite part of the review to write (and read), the spice rating, and as a bonus with this dark story, a gore/blood and spooky vibe rating. This twisted tale is covered from cover to cover in blood, so it receives 4 outta 5 🩸's. The spooky, haunted vibe here is also pretty high, especially when it's hard even as the reader to discern reality versus the ghosts in D+L's minds, so I'm giving it 4 outta 5 👻's. And last but most certainly not least, the spice rating!! 'ATTWB' does get quite graphic in spots, but this book is more story than it is spice, which suits the story being told. So I'll be giving it a 3 outta 5 🌶️'s rating, and an overall 5 outta 5 ⭐'s. And if you decide this book is for you, please stop back and drop a comment down ⬇️ below ⬇️ when you've finished it and tell me what you thought!!
”He’s playing. He’s speaking. In the only way he can. Because neither of us knew how to speak what we felt.”

Thoughts: I spent a lot of time just sitting and thinking about this book. Even now, I don’t feel like I’ll be very good at expressing my thoughts on it. ATTWB is a very heavy and emotional tale highlighting how darkness can consume one’s being. How actions and emotions can cause reactions that become engrained and at times can feel uncontrollable until it’s too late.
As always, it was gorgeously composed, & I can truly understand why such a piece would take so long to write. Every moment was charged with energy from the threat of the cult to the whispers of the ghosts and the deaths that occurred. It truly felt like you were just as enthralled into the house as the characters turning page after page to discover the answers.
Overall, I truly suggest reading this novel, but I also give the reminder that it’s ok to take breaks and just sit and breathe. There are some pretty heavy topics in this book that can definitely hit home if they are subjects you struggled with yourself coming from personal experiences. Remember to care for yourself, because as A said ”Even the most haunted hearts can bloom.”.
*This ARC was provided in return for an honest review*
This had so much depth and meaning to it. After reading the prequel I just had to know how the rest of the story went. Not every story needs a happy ending. The ending will have you really in your head trying to process. And for me that was needed. Beautifully written and now I must ready EVERY book by this author. I am HOOKED.
This was my first book by this author and it won’t be my last.
I’ve been trying to catch a break so I could read something and let me tell you I was not disappointed. All the greatness I was hoping for and more.
There are parts which I would have to go back and get the quotes word for word but just know this, I could relate.
Forget about the smut that was there but can we all appreciate the story? It was a beautifully relatable story. The message ok, not the other things unless you can relate to that but don’t tell me because I’m nobody’s accomplice!
The ending.. well the explanation.. felt that and loved that and it was perfect.
I highly recommend this book and the author!!
I devoured and enjoyed and need more which is good for me because I have a set of ebooks lol
"All The Things We Buried" (ATTWB) by A.eM. ripped me apart in the best way. If "Where The Dark Things Bloom" (WTDTB) was chaos through Lenore’s fractured lens—young, raw, and feral—then ATTWB is the quieter, more dangerous descent into Dorian’s obsessive, broken mind. And let me tell you… the psychological chokehold this story has? Unmatched.
Told mostly from Dorian’s POV, we watch his world twist from the moment he meets Lenore to the wreckage of their present-day reality. Lenore still gets her say, but this book belongs to Dorian—and he takes you to some dark, unsettling places. The taboo step-sibling bond? Tangled and terrifyingly magnetic. And while this is a very slow burn, it never drags. The tension is thick, the darkness is seductive, and the mindf-ckery? Next. Level.
There’s less chaos than WTDTB but way more psychological unraveling. I didn’t just read this book—I lived in its shadows. And that ending? Gut-punch twist I never saw coming. It ruined me. Then came the epilogue and I was feral all over again.
This isn’t your average dark romance. It’s gothic, taboo, methodically twisted, and it lingers. Check the trigger warnings—they're there for a reason. But if you’re into slow-building dread, emotional wreckage, and morally gray characters who own your soul?
You NEED to read this. Immediately. Then join me in screaming for Book 3.
Where the Dark Things Bloom is not just a story—it’s a wound dressed in poetry, a love song written in shadows. Dorian and Lenore’s romance is equal parts devastating and intoxicating, a dance of broken hearts who find solace in each other’s ruin.
This book bleeds for the ones who loved too hard, even when it wasn’t safe. For the quiet heartbreaks that live inside silences. For the ones betrayed by blood, haunted by memory, and still daring to believe in love.
The chemistry between Lenore and Dorian is scorching—an intimacy that feels both a weapon and a balm. The spice is beautifully balanced, intense enough to burn but never overshadowing the raw ache of their connection. Every touch feels like confession, every kiss like a battle cry.
And then—just as we’re about to believe they’ll finally claim the ending they deserve—it’s ripped away. The hope you held in your chest is shattered, leaving you gutted and gasping. It’s cruel, it’s brutal… and it’s perfect. Because this isn’t a story about easy love—it’s about the love you fight for in the dark, the kind that hurts even when it heals.
For anyone who has ever carried too much and still chosen to love anyway—this book will break you and rebuild you. Lenore and Dorian’s story lingers long after the last page, like a song you can’t stop hearing, even in the silence.
Even the most haunted hearts can bloom. Even you. Especially you. 🌹
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️ The wait for this book was definitely worth it! The book tore me apart, but sometimes that’s what we need. After reading Where The Dark Things Bloom, I knew I needed more of Dorian and Lenore. Their story is so sad, but so beautiful. I loved the way A writes her stories, she truly makes you feel like you’re in the pages with the characters. The feelings she puts into each chapter brings everything to life. The raw emotions that this book brings to the surface is unreal. The only issue I had for this story was the lack of proper warning for the suicidal death of an MC. I was not expecting it at all. I kinda thought Dorian and Lenore would get their HEA, but that was the furthest thing from what happened. While suicide isn’t a trigger for me personally, it is for some people that I know and it should have been labeled properly. I did still enjoy the story, the ending just threw me off and I wish I could’ve been mentally prepared. Overall I loved the paranormal, haunted house aspect of this story and the writing style was impeccable.
✩✩✩✩✩ 🌶️🌶️🌶️ ~ All the Things we Buried by @iam_a_em is a Dark, Psychological Gothic Horror that follows Lenore and Dorian 🖤 ~ You’ve done it again A! 😭It’s official I love being broken by your books 😅 Your writing skill has the ability to pull me in so deep that I feel every SINGLE emotion written on the pages 🙌🏻 ~ The world building is once again sensational, and I will always love the way you write your characters 🫶🏻 ~ The story of Gloomsbury Manor itself is dark and gothic surrounded by mystery, secrets, hidden whispers with the cult that keeps its alive 🥀 ~ The FMC, Lenore, although fragile was defiant and The MMC, Dorian, is haunted not only by his past but by the present ~ Their Forbidden Romance is Raw, Intense and All Consuming! It is impossible for me to say that these two are my favourite characters because, every character A writes steals a piece of my soul 🖤
I don’t think anything could have prepared me for this book by A.EM. I read her prequel for this book, Where the Dark Things Bloom, and was waiting on the edge of my seat for when this book hit the shelves. To say that she puts her absolute all into her books, I feel is almost an understatement and injustice for her as an author. The passion and the depth this story takes as you read it is intense. Each character in this book has their own pain, battles and heartbreaks they have to go through and work through. Anytime you think you know which direction this story is going to take, I promise you that you don’t. This is a book that when you're ready to sit down and read it you don’t want any distractions. You want to sit down and read it and get lost in it. When Gloomsbury Manor grabs hold of you, it’s not going to let you out of its clutches anytime soon. Hopefully you're strong enough for the journey you're about to be taken on. This book will help you see things within yourself that maybe you thought you left behind or even that you thought you let go of that you buried deep. Maybe this will be your healing too as you read. Lenore and Dorian have a heartbreaking journey to get to where they are. Their relationship is one that is taboo since they are step siblings. Though, how truly related even by marriage are they? There are secrets kept behind every hidden door. Can they handle what’s hiding behind them? Can they face them or even should they face them? What happens if they have to face what is inside that Gloomsbury Manor head on? All of Gloomsbury’s history that lives behind the walls? How many things have been buried there that they have to deal with and face? If you love the dark, twisted, psychological gothic taboo romances then this is the book for you. I couldn’t put it down! I loved everything about it but just remember that there is nothing light about this book. It is dark, it is twisted and it will mess with your mind! If that is the kind of thing you're into then, I guess, Welcome, to Gloomsbury Manor, and good luck!
Dorian and Lenore have left and they have taken a piece of my heart with them 💔.
This book will stay with me forever and I don’t say this lightly. I am a sucker for books that make me feel deeply and have the power to break my heart, and A.eM. is one of the very few authors who has the capacity to do this.
This story spoke to me on such a deep and profound level because it focused on a connection between step siblings, two broken souls whose love for each other was sadly not enough to save both of them.
Lenore, dear Lenore, the girl who just wanted to be seen, to be chosen and to be enough. I could relate to her so much. I just wanted to give her the biggest hug. She fell deeply in love with Dorian, but at that time, he wanted to protect her from the evil lurking in the house, so he kept her at a distance. It didn’t mean he didn’t love her back, but she just couldn’t feel it.
Dorian, the man I think we have all fallen in love with. Broken, yes, but he wanted nothing more than to change everything and make it all better. He wanted a life, a family and he would do anything to protect Lenore. Considering everything Dorian was faced with, his capacity to love Lenore the way he did was simply beautiful, and she really was the light in his dark life.
This hands down is one of my top reads of the year! I felt every emotion from fear, anger and despair to absolute heartbreak. This is a masterpiece of mental health awareness 🖤.
Placeholder review till Ive completely processed… I’m broken. You will be too. It’s worth it
I’m a bit better now. I finished this book 2 days ago.. I’ve been sitting with it. I’ve cried the well dry as my husband held me. I’ve processed, I’ve went back over my annotations and l’m ready to give yall the best review I possibly can. Strap in..
This book will shatter you. both of them will.. in the most beautifully painful way possible. A.Em writes like a conductor leading a symphony. Her words build and swell inside you, rising to a crescendo you don’t even notice until it’s too late.. until you fall and ultimately break.
But here’s the truth: you were already broken. You just convinced yourself you’d fixed it. That’s why it hurts so much, because A.Em has orchestrated an intense, almost seamless dive into self-reflection and rediscovery before you even realize what’s happening.
“You can’t fix the broken. But you can learn to love the cracks. You can’t glue someone back together and expect them to be whole. The fractures stay. The scars stay. Nothing broken is perfect. I never wanted perfect anyway.”
I found myself highlighting entire pages, wishing I could share every single one with you, but this is something you need to experience for yourself. Just like a symphony, words on their own can’t capture the feeling. You have to hear the music yourself.
If you or someone you love has struggled with mental health, this book is for you. It doesn’t just speak to the broken, it teaches you to see beauty in the cracks.
A. Thank you AGAIN for giving me a book that I will hold close to my soul. Forever. 🖤 & to the incredible street team I can now say I’m part of, thank you for all the virtual hugs 🫂
“Because when a mind fractures that deeply, when something festers long enough inside, what’s left is not human. Not really. And when life becomes hell, we learn to build heaven from flame and ash. We’ll burn the world if that’s what it takes to survive.”
“It’s easier to bury what we can’t face, easier to hide what hurts. But somehow, everything we try to forget crawls back from the dirt, whispering to us through the walls. And eventually, everything we bury becomes a ghost. And someday, so do we.” -A. eM
Heavy on the triggers, especially heavy on mental health. This book will hurt your feelings, it does exactly as A. eM intended and forces you to look in the mirror. I am pretty sure I have at least half of the book highlighted with quotes, every word in this book was so heartbreakingly beautiful. The emotions and real life feelings A. eM is able to make you feel with the words she puts together. It shows you inside the minds of the broken and hurt, its haunting, love and tragedy. I could go on and on. ATTWB is something that will stay with me for a long time. I love this book so much.
That ending had me in floods man. Not cool. Actually it is cos you’re an effing genius. Literally one of my favourites. I will kneel at your altar. And you scare me a bit with your psychological mind 😂.
Our beautiful, broken FMC - Lenore. The tortured soul and haunted mind of Lenore. She goes through turmoil within the walls of Gloomsbury Manor, where the battle for sanity becomes harder and harder to deal with. To the point, her beloved Dorian isn’t enough.
Our MMC - Dorian. The protector of his little trouble, the one who seeks to end the cult set in place by his step-father, who stumbled across Thorn Journal. And boy he did. In the most exquisite and fucked up way possible.
This book takes to you on a haunting and mind bending experience. You end up in situations that were stark you in the face and had you gasping in shock when you stumble across them. I don’t honestly know how she does it, but I just hope, HOPE, A doesn’t ever stop writing. Out of all her characters that are on paper, Lenore has stolen my heart. She really has.
Thank you so much A. Love. Toxic 🤍
No HEA Touch her and die/occult/mental health 🌶️🌶️ Teeth pulling
This book is a haunting blend of horror and forbidden romance that keeps you hooked from beginning to end. The setting of the cursed house is perfect—its walls seem to breathe with secrets, and every room carries the weight of tragedy and ghosts. The atmosphere is chilling and oppressive, but it makes the slow-burning romance even more intense.
The relationship between the step-siblings is dark, complicated, and beautifully written. Their connection is both unsettling and irresistible, teetering between love and danger. The ghosts that stalk the halls don’t just add terror—they act as echoes of the curse, constantly reminding the characters (and the reader) that love here comes with a price.
What makes this book stand out is how it mixes romance and horror seamlessly: one moment your heart is racing with fear, the next it’s breaking under the weight of longing. It’s gothic, twisted, and passionate, perfect for readers who crave stories where love and darkness walk hand in hand.
A cursed house. Ghostly whispers. A forbidden love that refuses to die. This is the kind of story that lingers like a shadow long after you’ve finished.
I knew going into this, I wouldn't come out the same after the last page.
Gloomsbury Manor is full of ghosts that haunt your mind and hold secrets that have you bleeding inside. "They say you only understand what love is once you've lost it. And I lost everything. Now, in Gloomsbury Manor, where the dark things bloom, everything else is buried."
This is one of those books that no words can really do it justice, it just needs to be experienced. It's heartbreaking and beautiful, painful yet cathartic. It was written in such a way that allows you to look into yourself and realize that what you think is broken is a soul whose cracks can be mended into something beautiful and stronger.
This is another A. Em book that had me feeling all the feels and I will forever think about. Stories that make me feel deeply and settle into my bones and alter my chemistry and rare and far between but it has happened every time I have read a book by this author. If you want to feel and are up for a story full of twists and turns and trauma this is the one for you. This is a follow up the the Novella " Where the Dark things Bloom."
I don’t know how to explain what A. eM just did to me... but I do know it wasn’t merciful. This book is a mind fuck, a mind tease, and a full-on psychological chokehold. I finished it and just sat there. Processing. Quiet. Probably pale. Definitely haunted.
A is pure chaotic good — you know she means well, but somehow ends up emotionally gutting you anyway. And I apparently am still a glutton for pain.
The atmosphere is thick with dread, the romance is so wrong and so right, and the house... don’t even get me started. Gloomsbury Manor isn’t just haunted — it’s alive. It feeds on grief, secrets, and you.
And Dorian and Lenore? Forbidden, f*cked-up, and unforgettable. Their dynamic was everything.
My jaw is still on the floor over this line: “I could do better,” he whispered, pressing his forehead against mine. “For you…” He inhaled deeply. “But I won’t,” he said. “You didn’t fall for a good man. You fell for me.”
Well... at least he was honest.
If my heart had to get ripped out, yours does too. So please — don’t ask questions. Just read the damn thing.
This isn’t just a book. It’s a fever dream you don’t wake up from.
Gloomsbury Manor is the kind of place that gets under your skin — whispering in your ear, pulling you deeper, until you’re not sure if you’re in love… or if you’re possessed. Dorian walks in thinking he’s here to help his mother’s strange, distant stepdaughter. He doesn’t expect Lenore — pale, razor-tongued, a little broken in ways you want to trace with your fingers. He doesn’t expect to want her.
But the house does. The house always knows.
This is slow-burn obsession wrapped in gothic rot — the kind of taboo that makes your pulse spike and your morals slip. Shadows move where they shouldn’t. Secrets rot in the walls. And the more you read, the more you wonder if the real haunting is the ghosts… or the way Dorian starts to crave what he can’t have.
If you love romance that feels like a sin, if you want a setting that becomes a living, breathing predator, if you crave that I-shouldn’t-want-this-but-I-do ache — welcome to Gloomsbury Manor. You won’t leave.
Perfect yummy, fall Read! Just in time for spooky season!! This dark, twisted gothic horror within the haunted confines of Gloomsbury Manor, where memories never fade, a forbidden love begins to flourish. Nevertheless, what happens when previously concealed truths come to light?
Dorian's mother requests a helping hand with his step sister, as he returns to Gloomsbury Manor it leads to an unexpected fixation on the girl's mystique. Lenore is a total enigma. She's all fragile and electric but also semi fierce, like a kitten with a Mohawk,.. and the house she's stuck in? Forget about it. It's like something out of a crazy person's imagination, haunting her sleep, whispering weird meanderings, and generally being super creepy. The longer Dorian stays, the more he gets pulled into the house's vortex of weirdness.
As this trio unravels the houses mystery the high tension, slow burn, push and pull, grips you and takes you for a ride. The plot is thick, mysterious and creatively well written. Definitely a page turner!! So cozy up for a thrill!
Was not expecting that ending. Beautifully written emotionally intense story. This story gives you more background on Dorian and what he has sacrificed. Dorian and Lenore’s story is both beautiful and tragic. Reading any book by this author is an experience. Go into it blind and let it wrap you up. Love the chant A created for the 7 deadly sins! So beautifully clever.
The manor breathes on your neck. It whispers in your ear. It hungers for your darkness. Hidden secrets in the walls. Some ghosts like to come out and play.
Writing a review for this is difficult for me because I don’t want to give anything away. Her stories make you FEEL and each reader’s experience will be different. Every book she writes is absolutely brilliant! They never disappoint.

“She could be lost, and i could be her wonderland. So when she wakes up, I’m her most beautiful dream. And she can be my beautiful nightmare. Because she haunts my mind, day and night. But maybe that’s my karma, to be so close to someone and still feel like we are oceans apart.”
😮💨🤌🏻😭 This book was RAW, unhinged & so emotional. Dorian & Lenore are living in a haunted house, haunted by ghosts of the past, present, and future. They find solace in each other, even though it’s wrong. They’re both struggling mentally and help each other through their darkest times. I will say, i was NOT prepared for that ending… If you like books with raw, unfiltered, grief filled, traumatic, mental health representation - this is the book for you. And don’t forget to read Where The Dark Things Bloom first to have a better understanding of this one! 🖤🤌🏻
Review – All the Things We Buried by A. Em (Book 1 in the Things Series, following the prequel Where the Dark Things Bloom)
After devouring the prequel Where the Dark Things Bloom, I was so ready for more of Dorian and Lenore — and All the Things We Buried absolutely wrecked me (in the best way).
This story dives deep into the darkness, pain, and haunting beauty of two broken souls trying to survive and understand each other. A. Em doesn’t hold back — the emotional weight of this book is heavy, raw, and unforgettable.
I’m still reeling from everything that unfolded. The tension, the secrets, the way Dorian and Lenore’s story unfolds layer by layer... it’s haunting, twisted, and so beautifully written.
If you like your romance dark, emotionally charged, and impossible to put down, this one will stick with you long after the final page.
First and foremost… Read the Trigger Warnings!!!! This book is not an “easy” read and is very dark and disturbing.
This book has me in a chockhold of self reflection and trauma. This is a very dark and depraved book that WILL hurt your feelings but is heartbreaking, tragic and stunningly beautiful all the same. The characters Minds are broken but is a reflection of how broken we ourselves are and the actions we can take without realizing the trauma and adverse effects it can have. This book is was haunting in a beautiful specter way and left me wanting more honestly. I have more highlighted in this book than I have in the last 40-50 reads before this.
What a beautifully and tragic masterpiece that deserves to be added to your TBR.
HOLY SHIT! I did not see this coming at all. What I pictured was a spooky haunted romance and I got mind fucked to the core. My brain can’t wrap itself around what the heck I just read…
I can’t.. I cried so freaking hard reading this. My heart cracked so much. Anna you really broke me with this one. Destroyed every piece of my soul with these two characters… my heart just.. can’t how could you put me through this pain…
In the end I absolutely loved this book. I was obsessed and entranced into the story and the world that was created and I definitely need more. I need more from this spooky haunted world and I refuse to go on without more.
Your books never fail to have me falling in love with them and I cannot wait to see what comes next!
Gloomsbury Manor has the strongest hold on me!! This book was absolutely fantastic I couldn’t put it down. This story is told in the Fmc and Mmc point of views, and I love that you can see both sides of the story. Dorian is moving back home to Gloomsbury Manor and discovers he has a step sister.. soon he realizes there may be more to her than he thought. There were so many crazy things that happened throughout this story, I loved the connection with music.. not being able to say what you feel so you say it through music. I love the way Dorian always did things to protect Lenore, in life and in death.

I really don't know where to start this review... This book made me feel everything. Every emotion, every twist and turn. The message behind the story was heart wrenching and made you truly look in the mirror at yourself. A.eM has such a way with words that makes her readers truly resonate with the characters within the her books
This book healed something in me that I didn't know needed healing. You can feel the emotion A.eM put into every page through the entire book.. If you feel a little broken, a little out of place. If you feel like you don't belong in your shoes, Read this book. I promise, it'll help you feel a little more whole.
What can I say about this book. I loved it. The prose, the theme, the pacing all well done. The story is beautifully toxic, a dark psychological gothic romance….forbidden relationship, mental health, abuse, a house that may or may not be sentient. This was such a trip. The story was intense and I enjoyed every minute of it. I need to know what happens next. This story ends on a cliffhanger. Check your trigger warnings, this is a heavy read but in the best way.
