Olympic gold medalist Melody has conquered her career goals and is finally ready for love. When an old flame comes back into her life, she sees a chance to have the one thing money and fame couldn’t give her—a family of her own.
A Virgin Surrogate & An The Finale is an emotional, heart-gripping African American romance filled with hood love, deep family bonds, betrayal, and second chances. Blood ties are broken, loyalty is tested, and love is pushed to its limits.
If you’re a fan of Taniece’s work, gritty love stories with powerful Alpha men, and emotional urban fiction that keeps you hooked, this finale will leave you breathless and craving more.
I enjoyed the ride. But it was definitely unnecessary character povs (fluff). Pierre came out of nowhere after no interactions with the family. Ro messing with Luciano’s ex.. maybe babies… the drama was there. Conclusion was there. Just not sure of the road in the last book.
Baby Jessica took that 100gs and ran off cause she knew jose’ wasn’t going to need it but ro had me lol that baby was a handful and gave Valentino around for his money everyone got their happy ending great series thanks again for giving us another banger see you soon
The end felt rushed. Whew they were dropping bodies like it was nothing. I loved the growth and maturity between Valentino & Rhythm. Dawn’s parents still aggy ugh.
I was shocked that Steph was charged with the murder of Donovan. Preesha, Rhythm, and Melody was shocked as well because they didn't believe their mother could do something like that. Nothing could've prepared me for Drake turning out to be a snake. He worked for Luciano for year's and there wasn't one red flag that he would betray the family like that. Learning Drake was behind Valentino going missing and Sergio had Drake to snatch up Valentino wasn't farfetched because Sergio was pissed and hurt at what Valentino did to Lucia wicked ass, but it was still confusing on why Drake betrayed Luciano and why Sergio was killed. Drake knew Valentino well enough to know. Valentino could get out of anything. When Melody told Valentino she was pregnant. She didn't get the response she was looking for. Instead Valentino gave her his reasoning for her not having the baby. I understood where he was coming from. Melody just gotten a full ride Scholarship to her favorite College and he didn't want to hinder her. Valentino definitely made good on his promise to her when she graduated. Dawn being shot was another reason her parents didn't want her with Rhythm. Rhythm also blamed himself although it wasn't his fault. No one saw the betrayal coming. Rhythm felt him ending their relationship was the best. I knew who Dreka hoe ass was the moment her name popped up again. The hoe was messy asf. Luciano and Valentino had another enemy lurking. When they found out who it was. The hunt was on. Jessica should've never asked Luciano to give Jose a job. He didn't grow up in that life plus her coming back trying to pin Jose on Luciano as his son. Only to find out it was a lie that Sergio and Lucia was hiding. Put a bad taste in Luciano and Valentino mouth towards their little brother. The moment Pierre told Jose he wanted information on Luciano and Valentino. Jose should've told his brother's. Instead he got into bed with the enemy and it cost Jose. Viv, Erika, and Alexis was all a casualty of war. It was sad the three women lost their lives. Alexis should've known better than to take a stranger home from a bar though. Luciano was at his wits end trying to find Pierre. The crazy part. I'm surprised it took him that long to find out who was feeding Pierre information. Jose found out the hard way that blood means absolutely nothing when you choose to side with the enemy.
Taniece is definitely needed to do sequel with Ro and Harmony
I really enjoyed 3 books and not just because I live in Alabama. Pre was my hero because this heroine is not like others, she is special and not because she is a virgin. This heroine is autistic, and I believe in possibilities over disabilities. People on the spectrum do not have defects and the writer highlighted that throughout series. Taniece made sure to note Pre had sensory issues with loud noises and flashing lights and I love the fact that those around her treat her as the jewel she is. When Luciano stormed into her life, her eventually found peace with her. We are introduced to her sibling as well as Luciano’s crash out brother Valentino who I felt has DID Disassociate Identity Disorder with crash outs and blackouts. I love the attention Taniece has showed and she did her research. The secondary characters also kept book interesting. Many oh no moments and plenty of shock value and steamy scenes never hurt. I enjoyed this series from Taniece I hope you do as well. Hate that it ended but I hope we get a future book with Ro and Harmony those babies were lit and gave it to Uncle Valentino whenever he came around. I love 💕 the book them kids. The Bonnie and Clyde cousins. Heck she got material off third gen alone but they fitted in nicely and kept book 3 with funny moments to smooth out the intensity.
Awesome Read Happy reading! Just when things seemed to have calmed down, another enemy was waiting. Luciano and Valentino loved hard, and they had it bad for Pre and Melody Melody may not have liked that Valentino wanted her to get rid of the baby, I thunk he was right. He wanted her to pursue her dress and get her degree and go to the Olympics, Valentino was a young man who kept his word. Once she graduated, Valentino got his wife in Melody! Luciano gave Pre whatever her heart desires, I.li e that they were so in tune with one another in every way. Luciano NEVER used Pre.disability against her, Pre was able.to maneuver in life just as any other person, she had some anxieties, but knew how to deal with them and Luciano learned about the things she would need to keep calm and focused.
Rhythm, listening to Dawn parents, especially her mother, shocked me because he knew the trauma that Dawn was dealing with, and he let her go. He was lucky that Dawn love never wavered she may.have been hurt, but their kind of love don't fade over months...
Love Conquered all in the end. The family dealt with some loss, but they gained so much more in each other They had strong mothers who were great examples and father's that they learned they didn't want to be nothing like them as far as the guys! The kids, Robert and Harmony, first cousins are going to be terrors, but as Valentino stated, they got it honestly!

I really enjoyed the hell out of this serious. Ms. Taniece you don’t me a THING. This is my first series by you and you did your thing! I love how Pre’s being autism wasn’t overshadowed. She had her challenges and infatuations but she was still treated like an individual. I liked her character. In the end Luciano did what had to be done for his family, he stood on business! That Damn Valentino carried this series you hear me! He was absolutely hilarious and didn’t play about his “Freckles’’. When Pre, Mel and Rhythm got arrested for that murder, I really didn’t see that coming. Why she only got 4 years was a little unrealistic but hey it’s book lol. That Rosario “Ro” and Harmony is instant birth control. There was no way I would had babysat those little demons. I really hate the series is ending overall. Maybe, just maybe there is more Valentino in the future *hint, hint*
This book is lot more underwhelming than its predecessors, which tracks considering it is the finale. I love a good Happily ever after, so I am definitely happy with the outcome. Getting to the outcome was a bit shaky at some points. There was some fluff added in the book that wasn't quite necessary and felt like it was for word count purposes. Am example was the bathroom scene, why was that needed? (Not an author so please take this with a grain of salt, Taniece very well may have added it just to build on Valentino being a crash out). Some parts of the resolution felt rushed, or it could just be that the resolution to certain issues didn't need to be that long or that deep. I just felt like there was some unfinished business, especially with the Tollivers. I truly enjoyed both families overall and found this to be a solid story.
When I say part 3 is going to take you on a rollercoaster! Mafiosa…Pre and Luciano had a son and mamma on her way with another. Business legal and illegal are thriving but someone is waging a war against the French men and daddy Sergio is at the top of the list, after finding our he cheated on their mom, Luciano and Valentino want nothing to do with him. Jose has joined his brothers but he is not up to this business. Rythm has become 2nd in command. Meanwhile Val and Mel have broken up, Mel has left to go to college. She is soo hurt.Mom goes to jail for killing cheating Donovan! As the French’s try to live normally more surprises, moles and untrusted situations keep happening and bodies are dropping. The enemy is getting closer and someone has to get the job done asap because things are happening closer to home! Great story!!
This was a good ending to this series. Valentino had me worried for how he was playing with Mel, but he truly redeemed himself. Luciano was so gentle with Pre, I would have loved to read about his interactions with the kids. Jose was a cunt him and his mama. I wished Rhythm would have told Dawn what her parents said but her growth was so refreshing. These men don’t play about their women and the women truly stepped up and got in their bag not solely depending on their men.
Valentino that’s my guy.. He’s sweet and ruthless at the same time..often misunderstood. However I’m happy he found pre-sister Mel who Understood him and love him for who he is..he’s a great protector of his Mel and his family who he love. He plays no games. I’m happy Luciano. He’s healthy and still happy married with children to pre... Rhythm I’m happy he found and get himself together With the one who really loves him Dawn.. Pre mom and Luciano and Valentino mom Evelyn are their mothers who are enjoying their lives..
This book took me on a ride. I went through so many different emotions! I think the person who surprised me but didn’t surprise me the most was Valentino! What he did showed so much maturity! Was it wrong? He could’ve went about a different way! But I understood it. Same with Rhythm. And don’t even get me started on those bass kids! They need they own spin-off Outstanding job.
Hunny Pierre was causing all kinds of choas. I was so glad when Valentino got the upper hand thanks to a neglected baby mama. I don't feel bad for Jose. Like father like son. He had no business siding with the enemy. He should have went straight to his brothers about the situation. I hate what happened to Viv and Alexis they really didn't deserve it. Happy that Luciano pulled through. Great series.❤❤
I yearned for more in every book. Pre and Luciano’s love took over me. It wasn’t supposed to be happily ever after with them, but they always say never say never. Valentino and Mel, Dawn and Rhythm, meant to be. Through the mafia, through the hurt, pain, lies, death, they all prevailed. Great way to end a series!
I really enjoyed this book.. I’m happy everyone got their happy ending.. too bad alot of people was a causality in the war.. I liked Viv and Alexis I hated that for them.. Dawn deserved that marriage bc she held on after 4 years of waiting on Rhythm to get some act right.
I enjoyed this series tremendously! It was a shame Jose turned out to be a snitch. It didn't take much. When they burned down Pre's place I felt so bad for her and poor Alexis! Im so glad Valentino blew Jose and Pierre to h3ll!! They got their deserved karma! Before I go I gotta say Harmony and Ro were some bad azz kids!! lol! Especially Ro! They was tearing Valentino's azz up!!! I loved the ending.
Man this series was a wave of emotions! You'd be pissed the hell off or so happy you're crying lol. But all in all this was great. Sad to see José get killed but he caused that himself. He should've let Luciano and Valentino know what was going on. Can't wait to read more series. This was so heart felt in so many aspects
I love reading this book! Luciano and Valentino are brothers, and they're super close. Then there's the Edwards family, Pre and her twin siblings, Mel and Rhythm, and Mel's best friend Dawn. This series has been amazing. It follows these couples through the good times and the bad, and the bright future they have as a family. The author did a great job with it. It was entertaining and flowed so well. I totally recommend it! It was my pleasure reading your books 🥰.
Man I hate to see my favorite couples go I loved them. José was stupid smh that’s all I’m going to say about him. Pierre should’ve stayed in Italy I’m glad he got what he deserved. Overall the series was good.
Ooh there was sooo much going on once again! I didn’t see the twist about the mom going to prison coming! I thought the twist was going to be he gave her some type of incurable disease and that’s why she did it. Why did you have to kill viv!!
This was definitely a wonderful way to end a series!!!…Not a stepped missed nor was there any questions that was not answered!!!… When it’s your own ppl working against you with a smile on their face!!!…
Even though this is slightly shorter than the other books, there was no short of drama!! The amounts of times my mouth fell open! Insane! An amazing wrap-up to a great series.
