Route 69: Texas - a raw, wickedly sensual lesbian ride

Rate this book
Reggie Holliday rides fast, takes what she wants, and never stays in one place long enough to catch feelings. Fresh out of the Army with scars she doesn’t talk about and a matte-black Low Rider S Harley-Davidson between her legs, she’s chasing freedom one backroad at a time. No map. No plan. Just the next town, the next woman, the next chance to feel something that burns hot enough to drown out the past.

Dogwood Bluff wasn’t supposed to be anything more than a pit stop. But there’s something about this place, and someone, that gets under her skin. And when things get messy? Reggie’s the kind of woman who doesn’t look away. She leans in. Hard.

Book One of the Route 69 series is a raw, addictive, and wickedly sensual ride through the heart of Texas, following one untamed butch as she lives fast, loves fierce, and leaves a trail of heat in her wake.

For readers who like their heroines dangerous, their stories dirty, and their pleasure unapologetically front and center, this book is for you.

KC Night is a pen name for KC Luck’s sultrier “after dark” stories.

KC Night is the a pen name for KC Luck. Night is where you will find her spicier writings and Route 69: Texas, definitely delivers on the spice.
Loved our MC, Reggie; a butch, former soldier who sets out on the road with no plans, or destination in mind.
Her stop in small town Texas has her protecting Kristen from her manipulative, and powerful (ex)husband.
Route 69: Texas, is a well written, fast paced, edgy and sexy novella. I’m looking forward to whatever situation Reggie finds herself in next.

(I just hope the author doesn’t make me like each of our travelling soldier’s lovers. It’s hard saying bye to Kristen 🥺).

4.5 stars. KC Luck’s new pen name really delivers with a bang. I thought this was excellent. It’s gritty, extremely sexy, a bit dangerous, and with an unconventional yet still satisfying ending. I loved it. Reggie doesn’t stay in one place for long. It’s just her, her backpack of belongings, and her Harley. She’s in Texas and meets Kristin and the two hook up immediately. After Kristin’s husband (they’re in the middle of a divorce) stops by unannounced Reggie feels as if she needs to protect Kristin.

I loved the chemistry between Reggie and Kristin. It’s very sex heavy (this is strictly erotica) but there are some really good moments of vulnerability between them that I enjoyed seeing. Both women are great and have stories to tell. I loved how Reggie was there for Kristin and showed her that she’s a lot stronger than she was giving herself credit for. It was very touching.

I’m so excited for book two! I can’t wait to see where Reggie goes from here. This was excellent.

Even for essentially a sexcapade, this book is still way too long and lost my interest not even half way through my reading it. This is something that smut writers don’t get. They usually try to cram their book with as many graphic sex scenes as possible, while offering not much else to hook the readers past the initial two or three sex encounters. Either keep your story short and sweet and not wear thin its welcome, or actually infuse plot/character development into each new detailed sex scene so that they all serve a purpose when you tell them. Empty serial smut is very boring.

And I still haven’t even touched on this book’s mediocre writing style, all telling instead of showing. It’s especially jarring bc the main character likes to tell the audience she’s ~oh so tough and broken~ over and over again. Ironically it just makes her even more cringe-worthy and juvenile and like an edgelord the more she just says it, instead of show it.

Quite a ride! Reggie & Kristin’s storyline is written well. The characters are all different and fun to meet. Very spicy 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️. Overall, this book flows well with lots of sexy time and damsel in distress vibe. If you want a book to read before frisky time with a partner or even some self care time, grab this one and hold on 😉

Spicy and adventurous

Reggie's trip on route 69 in Texas was definitely not boring. Every stop surprised me with something I least expected. I couldn't put this book down and I'm looking forward to riding with Reggie on the back of her Harley to her next stop on Route 69.

Boiling hot with a reason to fight a good fight

I can't wait for a sequel to this book. Hot in a good way. Stand up for your rights. Never be ashamed to face the hypocrites.
I had to read this straight through, just couldn't put it down.

I mean what else were you going to do with the time it takes to read 150 pages

Sensual but filled with action & reaction & the urge to keep on moving. I’m old enough to remember the tv show. Still stimulated!
