I really enjoyed this book we've had glimpses of McKenzie throughout the series so it was great to get to learn more about her. There the many small cameos or mentions of previous characters that I love about this series. McKenzie and Katie definitely had great chemistry together. Many sweet moments but also lots of action too. Erik Schubach is definitely one of my favorite authors for quick good reads. I'm looking forward to reading more of his books.

Just got the Audible edition. This is one of me favorite stories in the MotS universe. I have been waiting for the to come out on Audible for a while. Not my collection is up to date except for the newest entry. I am as pleased as a platypus in a pond full of freshwater yabby (That is Australian for mudbug you luddites (mudbug is Cajun for crawfish you yankees))!
Now I am waiting for the next Elfed or Facets of April!

Excellent!

I love Dead Shot. I looked for an appropriate read for this holiday weekend. It is Memorial Day here in the US. Time to honor our service members. I have read this book many times. Very moving.

Great 👍

On my third read I think of perhaps four who is counting. I love this book. The horror that people go through who go to war for us who sit at home. The joy when it is there happy time. (No spoilers). You had my heart rate up every time I read one of the attacks you are a horror you know the one I mean. It was great meeting lots of people from your other books I always like that.. Not complaining but we must be near some new stories. Thank you for a great read. Once again for anyone just starting this author's books you are in for a great time enjoy.

Kenzi is my favorite kind of hero. She is not only one of the best she is humble about it. I love that she doesn't care if someone insults her, as long as they don't insult her country. Her whit and personality make her easy to fall in love with.
I like Katie because of her compassion. She is also a hero in her own right only behind the scenes. I love that she is willing to bend the rules when she thinks it will help.
This is a great read especially if you enjoy military/action books with a touch of romance and a lot of loyalty. Their loyalty to there country as well as each other is truly amazing. I was drawn in from the first paragraph, and the twist and turns from heartbreaking to happy makes it a page turner you won't want to put down.

There are typos in this book but not so glaring that it took away from the experience of reading this stand-alone book in the Music of the Soul world.

I really liked the lead characters, McKenzie and Katie. I did not have any backstory on these characters but the flashbacks filled in the blanks. I do plan on reading the other books in the series as I really did enjoy this book.

Schubach used his vivid imagination to get McKenzie and Katie together. McKenzie had never seen Katie, only heard her voice and known her as Valkyrie One. She is the one that would help her team see hostiles before they saw them and had done so for 5 years. McKenzie hears her when she is in a bar. And, of course, it is love at first sight.

I have never been in a combat situation, however, when I read about McKenzie and her team dealing with hostiles, I could get a sense of how a situation like that might unfold and a death toll could stack up.

I could feel McKenzie’s heartache as she felt she let down the members of her squad when some of them were gunned down. They were in a sense part of her family. It was clear the way she was felt about them and they felt the same about her.

Despite the typos, Schubach will draw you quickly into the world of McKenzie and her team and Katie. Not to mention, will make you cry!

"The eyes never lie. I thought, "I'm so sorry Katie...I love you."

I am really late to read this. I was actually just... nervous and sad to read Dead Shot, knowing that this was the last installment in the MOTS series and I am sure I am not ready to let go, yet but after weeks of stalling and reading June, I found new characters to look forward to in a spin-off series, but MOTS will be top for me.

McKenzie's story didn't disappoint. Dead Shot provided a different feel and environment than the first stories, The action from beginning to the end was just written naturally. And, no one could imagine my surprise and excitement when I find out who the nana was. I might have squeled a bit. McKenzie's feelings were successfully conveyed, just like how she mourned her father's passing, how it felt real, it took stages.

In short, Dead Shot was a nice end to the series that I've loved dearly, wished there could've been more but I am ready for LH. Everyone in the entire MOTS series was present in here and it made my heart dance with joy, some were mentioned and others have appearances. Also, I am not still okay with the mention of Vee. My little snowflake :---( Too good for the world Vee. Anyways, I may or may not hate the dear author a bit (sorry!) for the ending he pulled-off!

Excellent book

Its written as the main character is the narrator. It's an excellent story. Some great characters. It even made me both laugh and cry. I mean seriously cry. Erik if we ever meet in this amazing small world of ours I feel payback is likely. Great story. A few grammar hiccups nothing serious. New author for me one which I will seek out in the future. Thanks.

Stunning!

Everyone loves a hero and having a women fill that role is simply spectacular. This story was a nail biter and extremely stressful, full of action and daring heroics.

Great last book in the series. I can't wait for it to come out on Audible. Bit different than the others when it comes to the formula. On to London!

Good

Not a bad book. Lots of action and a break from the usual formula of lesbian romance novels.

The book suffers from some minor grammatical errors, but is still solid.

Mr. Schubach does an admirable job in blending this books scenes with previous books. It was good to see Anabella West, Victoria Davenport, Silent Bob, Blake, Crystal, Riley, and Sandra again. Of course, exploring Mrs. Zatta was good, too.

Mr. Schubach has stated this is the last Music of the Soul book, and I, for one, am sorry this series is ended.

Hopefully a new story can be told now that so much backstory has been established. We'll have to see, though.

Buy this book if you like military action or love stories involving lesbians in uniform.
