Atlas Loyalty to The Chaos Demons is carved into my bones.
These days, the club is calmer. Quieter. It’s given us time to breathe, to build, to figure out what life looks like without blood on our hands every damn day. I thought my story was already written—with Anita. She kept me grounded, challenged me, made me feel something real. She was my addiction, but she never wanted the title I kept trying to give her. And then Rue walked in. Soft-spoken. Sweet. The kind of woman who doesn’t belong in a world like mine. But I want her anyway. Only Anita’s past is catching up with her and dragging all of us down with it.
Rue Calling the club was my last resort. My sister needed help, and The Chaos Demons delivered. But I didn’t expect to fall for the biker who came to the rescue. Atlas is rough, tattooed, and terrifying in all the right ways. There’s something about him that feels safe, even when the world around me is falling apart. I should’ve run the second I realised his ex still had claws in him. Anita’s always there, always watching, and she makes sure I know that if she calls, he’ll come.
But now, I’m the one who needs saving.
When I’m taken and used as leverage in a war no one saw coming, Atlas is forced to make a choice . . .
The past he thought he wanted, or the future he never saw coming.
I'm the author of Follow Your Fantasy, Harper Impulse. It's a very different twist on Erotica and the idea came to me in bed - alone. Unfortunately for me, my best Erotica only gets written when I'm single and a second book is in progress. When I'm not writing books, I'm writing 4 blogs, writing in at writer's group, Madrid Writer's Club, critiquing friend's writing...yep, pretty much writing is my life! Other than I date a lot (and write it up!), move around a lot (7 countries and counting), and have a crippling addiction to sugar and jigsaws.
Edit: I've seen recently on social media that the author is now advertising as a love triangle. Which she wasn't doing in the beginning when she was trying to build this book up. I do not like love triangles, so just putting that out there in case similar feelings are felt.
No. Absolutely not. And I'm reminded why I don't read from this author anymore. If you want an unconvincing romance story, where the ow get's her cake and eat it too. This book is for you. First of all. There are more chapters for the supposed ow Anita. I call her supposed because she felt more like the h than Rue did. Anita was a hobag. Throwing herself at any man, and playing the H Atlas. She has him by the balls almost the entire book. He even brags to her ex husband about fucking her with only 20 pages left in the book. When he's suppose to be all distraught about losing Rue because he's cheated twice with the slag. He's even telling himself he's glad Rue's not the jealous type because he could really never end his "friendship" with Anita. Let's get one thing straight. There is NO way a woman with any self respect would agree to letting a relationship like that still exist. The author is smoking crack, and Rue just forgives everyone and she's cool with Anita always around in the end. IRL these two, Anita and Atlas would 💯 percent cheat together again. Atlas said it himself she's an addiction. Not only that he only ever went bare with Anita and loved cumming inside her whereas he always wore condoms with Rue. We all know that's a big difference. Come on. How the author has been selling this on social media as some great love story is a load of crock. This was the ow's book with Atlas panting after her. If I had known the ow would have a bigger part than the h I wouldn't have read this, because it's such bullshit being sold. Also, as I've only read this book in the series it has to be even less convincing he chose Rue if Anita and Atlas's relationship was mentioned in previous books. Rue is and always will be second choice and consolation prize because Anita didn't want to be serious with Atlas. Anyone thinking this is a proper HEA is smoking the good stuff.

Typical N Jane love-triangle cheating short read with main focus being on Nita the ow aka heroine 1. Their connection is real and long lasting. Deep and tender. Passionate. She keeps him on his toes: always a step out of reach but he’s hers nonetheless. Her pov confirms they will continue to gravitate towards each other.
Heroine 2 (the one he ends up with- whatshername) is the quiet girl. He needs some respite from his and Nita’s complicated (his own word) relationship so he’ll give the nice girl a try. Also gives her stuff to show remorse. No meaningful thought is put into his reasons for cheating. Anyhoo, Nice Girl already knows and is willing to accept it. Oh, she puts up a little show but he needs a gal of his own, so..
Nita of course gets a sexy romance with her new guy. Wasn’t it Hannah Montana that sang it? 🎼You get the best of both worlds🎶 🎶Mix it all together🎵 🎤And you know that it's the best of both worlds🎶
The book blurb was very misleading; it made it sound like the MMC and the FMC were together and the OW was interfering in their relationship. In reality, it was a love triangle in which the OW had a much bigger presence than the FMC; the MMC was in love with the OW for much of the book and deliberately used the FMC to try to "get over" her. He cheated with the OW after he and the FMC were together and admitted to being "obsessed" and "addicted" to the OW.
The FMC forgave him within days and was ok with the MMC and OW being "friends" and the OW being in their lives for all time. I don't buy it.

This is not Atlas and Rue's story, it's Atlas and Anita's.
I struggle to believe in the HEA or HFN because as soon as his beloved Nita clicks her fingers that dawg is going to drop Rue, the quiet doormat, and go panting after his Nita again. And Rue deserves more than the second best she got from this cheating user.
What a disappointment and why I am no fan of triangles
I don’t know why Nicola Jane is so obsessed with wanting her heroines to be friends with the ow. It’s really weird.
Anyway, Rue was totally Atlas’ second choice and the moment Anita snaps her fingers he’ll go running back. 100% guaranteed! You wouldn’t even know that the book was supposed to be about Rue and Atlas because most of it centered around Atlas’ obsession with Anita and his kinda-sorta-feelings for Rue were sprinkled in there so you don’t forget she’s there too. He’s a lying, cheating, loser who used Rue to “get over” Anita. I really tried to believe their story but was so hard. Ugh I’m so annoyed 😒
Kind of a HFN, but it's super forced. He'll cheat again.
Unsatisfying. This is the story of Anita and Atlas--he doesn't love Rue. She's 2000% second choice, only there because Anita left. He will ABSOLUTELY go back to Anita any time she snaps her fingers.
It reads like a right person wrong time romance prequel for MMC and OW. In a few years they'll run into each other and cheat again. It would have been better if OW had her own book. We got too much of her life and drama. and the FMC was just a side character in her own love story. Neither of the relationships have a believable HEA.
The angst I felt was low, I wanted more. Kasey and Anita had more going on then the main couple. Still love this Author's work this one just fell a little flat for me.
Summary: This is a motorcycle club romance with a love triangle plot. Spoilers/trigger warnings (if any) and final thoughts can be found below.
This story follows Rue and Atlas. The couple meet because of Rue’s sister. She got herself into some trouble and Rue asked the MC club for help to deal with that. When Rue arrives to the club to see her sister, Atlas is immediately smitten with her but things are complicated as he is in love with Anita, the other person in our love triangle who has several of her own POV’s in the book.
Anita has a personal situation happening that has kept her guarded, therefore keeping Atlas at arms length and not wanting to commit to him, even though he’s ready to make her his old lady. So when he meets Rue, he allows himself the space to see where it goes. Unfortunately, Rue is caught in the crossfire of the his unresolved feelings for Anita.
With a looming threat to her and her sister, as well as the entire club and Anita, Rue must stay at the clubhouse but at this point Atlas is ready to fully commit to her and grovels to show her how much he loves her. When things escalate and Rue is directly targeted, Atlas does everything to make her safe again, which shows Rue his love and commitment is just to her, making her decision to become his old lady an easy one.
⚠️SPOILERS/DETAILED TRIGGERS⚠️
*There is questionable cheating here. Atlas and Rue never discussed exclusivity but it was implied and he does have a couple of moments where he kisses Anita, one moment it almost goes all the way. His regret is instant. 🌶️: 1.5/5
Final thoughts: I received this book as an ARC and I really liked it. I loved the three points of view of Atlas, Rue, and Anita. I wanted to hate Anita but honestly I couldn’t given her circumstance and when reading her POV, a little more understanding of her thought process about everything.
Overall, I liked the characters, I really liked Rue’s sister Kelsey. She was such a spitfire and I loved her loyalty for Rue and how fiercely she loved her. I enjoyed this story. I thought it progressed well. The situation with the main characters didn’t linger very long and the wrap up felt realistic. This is one I would definitely recommend.

This book was a twist for me as I felt like even though there are two female main character, the one that I was rooting for was technically the Other Woman amd not the main voice. I felt like Anita was the main fmc and Rue was the Other Woman and second choice ( but its Atlas who made her in that position. Atlas is chasing after a relationship with Anita for over a year and she puts him in the same category he puts Rue in..second best.I liked this story because ot had everything I look for in a MC Club book..drama, angst and adventures in crime. However I wish Ries character was a little more developed and Atlas and Rues relationship was more developed so it didnt feel like so insta love but forced by Atlas because he couldnt have the one he wanted and settled.

If you’re looking for a story where the hero cheats on the heroine multiple times, with his ex, and still has a HEA (even a HEA for the OW), then this book is for you!
That being said, this book was not for me. Giving this a 2 stars because it was a page turner for me initially.
Our hero, Atlas, was so far beyond redeemable it isn’t even funny. He cheats on Rue, our heroine, twice. One of his betrayals, he literally almost sleeps with his ex within an hour of sleeping with Rue. He literally had Rue on the back of his motorcycle, pantyless, after hooking up, and takes a call from his ex, not knowing Rue could hear it. He lied to Rue saying his club president called and he had club business to attend to, meanwhile she knows he’s lying as she listened to the entire conversation. So he drops her home, moments after hooking up, to go run to his ex (the OW). He proceeds to almost sleep with said ex - very little hesitation on his part. Him and his ex got to the point where she was naked, he was rubbing her nipples, and they absolutely would have done the deed had they not been interrupted with a knock on the door.
Idk about most, but this is beyond redeemable in my eyes. I thought this book would be him running off to the rescue his ex, neglecting the FMC, a few times, not a full on cheating story (multiple times, mind you). But the fact that he was about to sleep with both women back to back, just felt extremely icky. I don’t know how you can rationalize it, you just had sex, there is no reason for you to do that. Ugh just no.
And the fact that his ex, the OW he cheated with, also gets a happy ending? Uhm no thanks.

Yes! Classic Nicola Jane drama, and I loved every minute of it! This isn’t your normal love triangle and buckle up because there’s gonna be some spoilers!! So our main male character Atlas and our main female character Anita have been “casual” for about a year. Atlas wants more but Anita doesn’t but we don’t know why. We just know she has a past (we do eventually find out why) She continually turns him down when he tries to make their relationship something more permanent. She constantly tells him she doesn’t want a relationship, but she can never tell him why, or give him any glimpse into anything personal. She always shuts him down. She knows how he feels about her, but she continues to string him along. Then when he’s decided he needs to try to move on and he meets someone who is available “Rue” she tries to destroy that relationship because she doesn’t wanna let him go. I loved it. I loved it. I loved it. I wanted more. I didn’t not want it to end, but I feel that way about every great Nicola Jane book.

I liked it. It’s the first book in a long time that I have read from start to finish without putting it down. It was entertaining, angsty, ow drama, and very old school NJ. I in fact have never (I don’t think) liked an OW, then hated her then ended up neutral about her. The heroine was shy, Quiet and strong she took absolutely 0 crap from the H. and Atlas….. what can I say. He was a total AH. Did he redeem himself… he did, was the h his second choice… no IMO but it took him a long time to realise his feelings

I wanted to like this book. I really thought I would like it but when I was like 20% in and the FMC hadn’t been introduced I knew I wasn’t gonna like this book. And Rue was supposed to be the FMC but it really was Nitas show throughout the book and that was kinda annoying.
I actually felt the book ended with more of a HFN rather than HEA… I would have like the book more if it was a book with only Atlas and Rues POV. And that Nita and Tom got their own book (or not - don’t really care for her at all).
And Atlas, I’m sorry but no he’s not gonna be faithful. He might have been confused about his feelings but to shift like that between the two F just made me annoyed with him. Then Atlas and Nita almost hooked up - they both was like if Tom didn’t interrupt them they would have done the deed .. that’s not a man in love with Rue, that’s a man cheating.

Great story loved Atlas then want to slap him typical man and doesn’t think .Rue great character loved how she stood strong to her beliefs even though her pain And Anita what a bitch but glad she got her happy ending
This isn’t a romance. It’s a love triangle where it’s clear the OW is the H’s preference, and the h is used as a tool. I was waiting to see if it felt like Atlas got over Anita once he met Rue (who doesn’t show up in this book until 22% in), but it’s pretty clear he doesn’t. And Anita has shit going on that makes it easy to sympathize, but I can’t forgive how shitty she is to those who accept her for who she is. It’s wild to me that she’s who keeps Atlas on the line this entire book - jumping ahead to the ending to see he cheats on Rue with her and then keeps Anita in their lives just tells me this author has no idea what readers want. Skipping more from her in the future because this just makes me mad.
I wanted more from this, from her. I need more when someone cheats, a sorry just doesn't work for me.
He cheats, not once but twice. She is all, i won't be like the other women who stays with liars and cheats but not only does she, she becomes friends with her.
The whole i won't forgive him last a a few days. Then everyone is best friend in two weeks.
I just can't stand doormat. But let's all be friends and hold hands.
Second why on lock down does he take her and doesn't even bring a gun. I don't like reading scenes that are just so fake.
I don’t usually enjoy biker romances, and with this author I often expect messy, cheating, misogynistic men. But this book surprised me — it ended up being the best MC romance I’ve read so far.
This story follows Atlas, a member of a motorcycle club. Compared to other bikers I’ve read about, Atlas is actually quite mellow. The club takes on a job to protect a girl who happens to be Rue’s younger sister. Rue becomes the female lead, and even though she’s very different from Atlas — quiet, bookish, and reserved — there’s an instant connection between them.
What made this book stand out is that we get three points of view: Atlas, Rue, and Anita. Anita is the club’s lawyer and has been in a long-standing friends-with-benefits arrangement with Atlas. From Atlas’s perspective, we see that he wants more from Anita, but she keeps things casual because of her messy personal life: a son, an ex-husband fighting for custody, and baggage she doesn’t want to drag him into. From Anita’s POV, it’s clear she’s protecting herself by keeping Atlas at arm’s length.
When Atlas meets Rue, he realises he has to put things with Anita to rest. He even gives Anita an ultimatum — either get serious or he’s moving on. When she won’t commit, he starts seeing Rue, and they quickly get serious. But Atlas slips up twice. First, he kisses Anita after meeting Rue (though before he and Rue were official). Second — and more damaging — after sleeping with Rue and starting a relationship, he lies to her about going to see Anita when Anita’s house is attacked. Rue overhears the call, discovers the lie, and later finds out that he kissed Anita again and nearly slept with her.
Atlas feels guilty immediately and confesses everything to Rue, but she calls him out as a liar who doesn’t know what he wants, and breaks things off. The book then escalates with drama involving Rue’s kidnapping and her sister. Anita eventually apologises, and by the end, Atlas, Rue, and Anita reach a point of friendship rather than rivalry.
What I liked most was Atlas himself. He wasn’t the stereotypical man-whore biker, and he genuinely worked for Rue’s forgiveness. He did a fair bit of grovelling, showed real remorse, and proved that he was better suited to Rue, while Anita deserved someone more like herself. The love triangle felt believable, not just drama for the sake of it.
I’ll admit I was really hurt when Atlas hooked up with Anita that second time. He should have taken a step back before getting serious with Rue. But I also think he realised that mistake afterward. Despite that, the book was worth the read. I liked the dynamic between the characters, the multiple POVs, and the fact that Atlas’s character broke the usual biker stereotype.
This was a strong, emotional biker romance that felt different from the usual MC storylines. Atlas wasn’t perfect, but he was redeemable, and his romance with Rue felt right in the end. Definitely worth picking up.
I kinda liked this story. My review will be sort of unorganized but I wanted to get my thoughts out right after I finished it.
I like that there was the POV of Atlas(MMC), Rue(FMC) and Anita(OW). It gave more opportunity to tell the story of each character.
It could be the length of the book but I felt like there could have been more time to really get to know the characters.
While I liked that Anita (OW) got to tell her backstory, I felt like she was more FMC than Rue. She had about 20 POV vs Rue who had about 15. I liked that Anita was fighting for her son and we got to see how that situation got very stressful because of choices she felt like she had to make.
I didn’t feel like there was enough time for Atlas and Rue to build up their chemistry authentically. It kinda felt rushed. I did like that they had conversations about his relationship with Anita. Atlas kinda jumped into craving another woman’s attention and definitely didn’t waste time moving on to the next girl when the last girl said no. He did say that he was seeking love so that kinda explains it.
Now on to the cheating. I would take it as cheating since it was an emotional cheating and two times a physical act of cheating. Granted there wasn’t a moment that Rue and Atlas said they were together or exclusive but according to Atlas, it’s implied. Lol then he kisses Anita twice and touches her body during one of those kissing scenes. Those act are described more passionately than any sex scene with Rue. It’s described as he was so lost in her kisses and body that he couldn’t help himself 🤦🏽♀️ Is that a man that deserves sweet librarian silly Rue. Nope. She deserves the absolute best!! She appeared to bring sunshine to Atlas’ dark and moodiness.
Overall I gave it a 3⭐️ for the story and maybe a 1🌶️ in spice for Rue and Atlas and 2🌶️ for Atlas and Anita.
As you can tell my review is more about Atlas and Anita. Lol. Poor Rue was a side character about to get promoted to be a main character but the offer fell through.

I started this book this morning and finished it in one sitting — less than 10 hours. I couldn’t put it down.
For me, this isn’t just OW drama, It’s very much a love triangle, but one that talks about the fallout of a real, loving, long relationship. The story follows Rue, Atlas, and Anita. Rue is Atlas’s new love interest, while Anita is the OW — except the book actually begins with Atlas and Anita together. They’ve been in a serious relationship for over a year. Anita tries to downplay it as casual, but it’s obvious they loved each other.
Their breaking point comes when they want different things: Atlas wants her as his old lady and a steady relationship, while Anita is caught in a custody battle with an abusive ex and can’t risk a future with a man in a motorcycle club. They split, and only weeks later Atlas meets Rue — and there’s this immediate emotional connection. Not instant passion, but something undeniable.
What follows is messy, painful, and raw. Atlas goes from one deep love straight into another without giving himself time to mourn, and the triangle that forms is full of mistakes, jealousy, and complicated feelings.
That’s why, even though Rue is clearly the main romantic lead, I felt like this was really a story about Atlas and Anita — two people who loved each other deeply but had to separate because of life and circumstances, and then had to learn how to move forward, shape their lives apart, and even find happiness for one another in new situations.
If you enjoy love triangles that are truly emotional, messy, and MC stories, this book will definitely be for you.
Was this story called Atlas? It should’ve been called Anita. Because there was so much about her, that it may as well been her story. I really did not need her PoV in the story. At first I was kind of rooting for her and the H, then I realised she’s not the h. Then she started pissing me off with her evasiveness (how do you sleep with someone for a year and they know NOTHING about you, more so how do you say you’re part of the club family and fit in, but they also know NOTHING about you?), and then to top it all off I started being more interested in her love story with Tom. Seriously I just did not feel invested at all with the h and H.
I don’t know why but I think the H’s thoughts of the h in his PoV fell flat. I get the vibe was to show that he had true love with the h, which was calm and homely and nothing like the addiction and fire of him and the OW, but it just ended up reading as if he wasn’t as into the h as he said he was. It felt like everyone kept telling us he was, but he wasn’t showing it. Even with his ‘big’ actions during his grovelling. And the h truly annoyed me because after all this, after you were literally CHEATED on, you take him back AND call the OW your friend?
It would’ve been good to really be shown that the H didn’t love the OW, or that she paled in comparison to the h. And although we were being told that, it truly didn’t feel like it at all. And if i was the h? I would’ve ran to Ireland like she said she would’ve.
Atlas by Nicola Jane grips you from the very first page and doesn’t let go until the end. This is one of those rare books that sweeps you up so completely that you forget everything else around you. It’s a story that makes you feel—from heartbreak and loss to hope and happiness—and the emotional pull never loosens.
It has layered, flawed, and achingly real characters. You want to celebrate with them in their moments of joy, and your heart breaks right alongside them in their struggles. Nicola Jane has a way of writing that makes you feel as if you’re walking this journey yourself, living every twist, turn, and revelation.
The pacing of this story is perfect—intense when it needs to be, but also tender in the quieter moments. And the emotional depth is incredible. This isn’t just a story you read; it’s one you carry with you after you’ve finished, replaying certain scenes in your mind because they left that strong of an impression.
By the time I turned the last page, I felt both heartbroken and uplifted. Atlas isn’t just a book—it’s an experience. If you’re looking for a beautifully written story that will move you, stay with you, and remind you why you love reading, this is it.
I highly recommend this book to all m.c. romance lovers.
This book was a whole rollercoaster. The POVs flip between Atlas, Anita, and Rue, so you get the drama from every messy angle, and trust me, it was messy.
Atlas is still hung up on Anita. He swears he loves her, his actions scream it too, but she just keeps shoving him away. Finally, he’s like, “Okay, I’m done.” But is he actually done? Ha. Absolutely not.
Enter Rue, sweet, quiet, bookish Rue. The girl just wants her coffee and her peace, but no, Atlas has to come in and ruin her invisibility cloak. He’s instantly drawn to her, and honestly, I was too. She was the calm in all the chaos… until Atlas pulled some shady crap that made me want to throw my phone across the room. Rue did not deserve that, not even close.
Now Anita… whew. I cannot stand her in this book. She was a straight-up cow, and I found myself so pissed at her games that I wanted her gone. Like, vanish into thin air, never to return. Either you want Atlas or you don’t! How hard is it to open your mouth and just COMMUNICATE? She single-handedly irritated my inner soul.
And the ending? Rushed. We don’t even see how Rue gets rescued. One second Kasey is rushing in, the next Atlas is beating the hell out of Damien (Anita’s ex). It felt like a whole chunk of story was missing.
Oh, and the cheating question, let’s be real. The first kiss with Anita happened before things with Rue were official, fine. But the second time? Nope. That was cheating, period. And the grovel? Meh. It felt like the spotlight stayed more on Atlas and Anita’s drama than on the connection with Rue.
Still, Nicola knows how to rip your heart out. This was one of my favorite reads of hers, even if I wanted to strangle half the characters. The ending had me in tears, so yeah… it left a mark. Can’t wait to see what she writes next!

I love Nicola Jane books! She gets what angst junkies, such as myself, like. When I heard that this book was going to be a love triangle, heavy on ow drama, angsty book I was licking my chops...that is right up my alley.
The book starts with a lot of Atlas and Anita page in and page out. Anita was a mega byatch and highly unlikable...Which is fine for the other woman, but for the heroine? No ma’am. I like my leading ladies with a touch of honey, not vinegar. I had to skip to the end just to make sure Anita wasn’t endgame—because if she was, I was ready to DNF and walk away like a dramatic reality show exit.
Later on we are introduced to Rue. I kept reading it as Roe, I kept wandering why Nicola had named her after fish eggs. Which would make sense since the author treated her like a side or garnish character. The whole time I was confused. Was this book about two MCs (Atlas and Anita) that don't end together? Or is Roe the heroine who just feels like a side character?
I was ok with all the drama that went down between these three but Roe deserved more page time, more development, more… something. Instead, she felt like the understudy who got called in last minute.
I came for the angst buffet and got a drama appetizer with a confusing entrée. Nicola Jane still knows how to stir the emotional pot, but next time, let’s give the actual heroine a bigger spoon.
