Olympic War by Blake Gabrielle

This series is still one of my favorites. I love the plot and it's mix of romance and action which is perfect. There's a lot of fast pace action but also Moonstone and Jaspers relationship but their relationship doesn't overshadow the action. The ending was sad and I can't wait to read more and really reccomend reading this and the first book if y'all haven't already.

“And remember kids, the next time that somebody tells you, "The government wouldn't do that," oh yes they would” - This is a quote that consistently comes to mind while reading this next installment of Blake Gabrielle’s Olympic War Saga: Phoenix War

Yet another Olympic War is about to set off, a new group of young adults fighting for their life, and their country…? As Moonstone and the others navigate the aftermath of their own games survival- secrets continue to be unraveled.

A perfect blend of dystopian and romance. Neither plot over takes the other. It’s fast paced and easy to read. The world building continues to grow, characters growth is done so well here & there is no lack of action. There is a realism that I find lacking in other books that I truly appreciate here. I loved the development of Moonstone and Jaspers relationship. Even more her own growth throughout. And wow- what a bombshell of an ending! This book left me both devastated and desperate for book 3.

Blake Gabrielle really outdid herself with this continuation of Olympic War. I love that the romance plot is good, but it doesn't overshadow the overall plot. There is such a good balance between what is going on in the world, and what is going on in the characters interpersonal relationships. This book somehow acheives being action packed, while banter, humor, and love are frequent. My jaw was on the floor more often than any other book I've read. It was the type of book that was difficult to put down once I started!
