As this book began, I knew Nia would fail her mission! Damien literally made her forget her purpose, as women sometimes do when they fall under the spell of an intoxicating man. This teaser was just enough to leave you wanting more & I’m definitely ready to see where Nia & Damien’s story is headed and see where her career lands as this story continues.

Damien and Eden had me in a chokehold from page one.
This little novella wasted zero time, and that is exactly why I inhaled it. Eden is an undercover detective sent to take down Damien Bishop, and chile, the assignment went left the second she actually laid eyes on him. Damien is smooth, dangerous, and the type of man who can ruin your whole life with one look, and Eden knew she was cooked the moment she felt her body and her badge fighting each other.
What starts as a mission turns into obsession, lust, and all kinds of blurred lines. Damien is hiding secrets that could burn everything down, and Eden is trying to remember she’s supposed to arrest this man, not climb him. Their chemistry is filthy in the best way, and the tension drips off every page.
The story is short, but it delivers intensity, heat, and that “I should not be rooting for this” energy that makes romantic suspense addictive. I ate this up, and I need part two immediately because that ending didn’t just tease, it taunted me.
If you like your romance messy, sexy, and wrapped in danger, this one hits every craving.

This book had me in a chokehold from beginning to end! Geletta Shavers took the meaning of “twisted” to a whole new level. Every character had secrets, motives, and messy entanglements that kept me flipping pages like crazy. The drama was deep—like real deep. Just when I thought the characters couldn’t go any further, they went ten steps deeper into madness, love, and betrayal.
I felt all kinds of emotions reading this—shocked, frustrated, entertained, even a little nervous about what was coming next. The chemistry, the lies, the obsession? Wild! If you love a story with unpredictable twists and characters you love to hate (but lowkey root for), this one is for you.
Geletta definitely delivered with this one. I was in too deep for real!

What I loved most was how the emotions and danger were perfectly balanced, never too much of one or the other, just enough to keep me intrigued from start to finish.
If you enjoy romantic suspense that keeps you on edge (and maybe fans the flames a little), this is one to watch for on August 4th.
