Tillie’s only owned Sheet-y Stationery for a short time, and already she wishes she didn’t. The shop is unruly and temperamental. It’s always moving around and scaring off the potential employees she's trying to hire. After countless interviews gone wrong, she’s shocked when a beautiful creature she’s never seen before walks in asking for a job. Alex is gorgeous, confident, collected, and she makes it clear she wants more than a job. She wants Tillie.
And so does her husband.
But Tillie’s been hurt before, and she’s not sure she wants to join an established relationship. Even if they say she’s their mate.
Paper and Passion is part of a new shared world series set in Ghostlight Falls, a place where anything can happen and often does. It’s an MFF standalone cozy paranormal romance with insta-love, breeding, and lots of spice.
Ghostlight Falls continues to be intriguing. This relationship wasn't for me. Having children and forming an ETERNAL mate bond (with about a week to decide), when one character is that much of a hot mess gave me the creeps.
The world needs more polyam romance with some sapphic love. Tillie was a hot mess with some relationship trauma but a good heart. Adrian and Alex were the sexy couple looking for their 3rd and were pretty instantly team add Tillie. They all supported each other emotionally. This was very much an instalove story with a HEA.
Spice: 4/5
Triggers: pregnancy, beginning stages of labor, cheating (ex partner), left at the alter by ex, accidental semi nudity with resulting cruel nickname, speciesism (past), mentions of parent and parent figure death
Tillie inherited Sheet-y Stationery from her grandmother, and the store is a bit of a hassle. See, Sheet-y Stationery was cursed and is anything but stationary, popping up all around town. No one wants to work there and costumers are always annoyed. When the alluringly sexy, bonded mates Alex and Adrian come to town, they’re searching for a special human. Alex is about to go into heat, and this non-human couple needs a woman to impregnate.
I was a bit hesitant at first because I’m not used to breeding, but…uh…I think this awakened something inside me. Cause I really liked it. This was a super short, fun, and cozy read that’s awesome if you’re looking for a sexy, low-stress time. The steam in this FFM romance was everything that I didn’t know that I wanted. I mean…I also think that I like tentacles now. Seriously though, this was the perfect sexy bedtime read, but I’d recommend it for whenever you need a quick pick me up.
Thanks to Thea Masen and the entire Ghostlight Falls Team for allowing me to read your babies. 💕
Back in Ghostlight Falls, and honestly? I’m living for it. We get our beloved forever-wandering shop, Sheet-y, the stationary and paper supply store with a mind of its own. Like, one minute it’s there, next minute it’s poof gone like the world’s most dramatic office supply closet. But seriously… why does it move? And also… do we ever get a happily ever after for the poor building itself? (Justice for Sheet-y!)
Now, let’s talk about this polyamorous throuple of chaos. We’ve got kinda-kraken beings and a human. Alex is hitting their heat, which means she need to find their human mate yesterday. Enter Tillie: she has one week to decide if she’s in for the ride… and by ride I mean… “would you like to have our tentacle babies?”
Wild. Absolutely wild.
Spice level? Through the roof. Breeding urgency? Check. Oh, and apparently… a mild milking fetish? (Excuse me, Thea. Mild?!) And listen.. I’ll admit it: milking is in my top 5 absolute nope list. So there I was, retching, giggling, and then laughing like an unhinged banshee because this book had the audacity to make it funny.
But the true MVP of my mental breakdown? The braided Kraken peen attached to Adrian. Yes. Braided. Like a fishtail plait down there. And now my brain is screaming: Do I need to see this? Should I commission an anatomical sketch? Would that cause irreversible trauma? Probably yes to all three.
In summary: this was unhinged, spicy, hilarious, a little bit ick but also… I devoured it like it was the last pack of stationary in a moving store.
This was a spicy little poly MFF read!! Sheet-y Stationary is a hilarious concept. A store who will teleport around or just up and walk off its lot as it pleases regardless of who is inside and what’s happening.
Adrian and Alex are looking for their human mate to help with their dwindling species population and find just that in Tillie- Sheet-y’s owner. Tillie’s a bit unorganized and hires Alex to help out around the shop but gets more than she expected when they connected immediately!
Some breeding and lactation kink which I was meh to but still a fun, enjoyable time!
Alex and Adrian land in Ghostlight Falls looking for their human. Yes, their human. They are a married couple, who is mated. For their dwindling species, they need a human to complete their breeding process & bond with them forever. They've been burned and rejected before so they're hoping landing in Ghostlight Falls will provide them with some acceptance and hope. What they're not expecting is that the first person Alex lays on will be their human. Then Adrian meets her, and they fall fast, and HARD. The passion in the papers is spicy and sweet. Everyone is together, Adrian and Alex, Tillie and Adrian, Tillie and Alex, all three of them together.
Tillie wasn't ready to try for a relationship this large, she's been there before, and she's been burnt before too. All she's ever wanted is a family, and true love. Right now all she has is this stationery store that won't stay stationary that her Grandmother left her, and it brings her nothing but stress each and every day. But then Alex and Adrian come around and she starts to wonder if maybe it's time... if maybe she's ready... if maybe these are the ones for her. If she can be a part of what they have, if she's meant for this. Not just something to fill a void they're having.
All good romances have a happy ending for everybody involved, humans or not, and these three get a happily ever after, with a baby and Sheet-y mellowing out some. We love that for them.
Just like with all of my reviews, I'll share a couple quotes I really enjoyed. -"To pretty pens and pretty pages and all the disorganized messes who wish we were more on top of things." -"Do you have any policies against employee fraternization? Because if so, I won't be able to accept this job." -"Stop thinking about what we should or shouldn't do, what people will think or say. The only thing that's important right now is what you want." -"It's vulnerable, but also somehow empowering because they're both staring at me like I'm a priceless work of art."
Paper and Passion is part of the Ghostlight Falls universe. It’s an MFF standalone cozy paranormal romance with insta-love, breeding, and lots of spice. They say Keep Portland Weird but Ghostlight Falls is weirder. This is a shared world series set in the cutest little paranormal town in Oregon. There is a little bit of everything non-human, from shifters to sentient objects, and even a few alien encounters. Books are releasing throughout the month of September 2025.
Another day in Ghostlight Falls, another cursed shop that refuses to stay put 😂📦🪄 Paper and Passion by Thea Masen gave me moving-stationery chaos, tentacle-haired hotties, and an MFF romance that’s equal parts sweet & spicy.
Tillie wasn’t ready for Alex (confident, drop-dead gorgeous, purple-tentacle queen 👑) and Adrian (tall, hot, tentacles for days 😏)… but fate had other plans. The chemistry? Instant. The spice? It had me feeling things. The surprise pregnancy? 👀 And that ending? Straight to Hello, Nurse I go!
Ghostlight Falls strikes again with the perfect mix of quirky, funny, and downright sexy.
How does Author Thea Masen manage in roughly 70 pages to not only have me almost in tears for these characters, but also have me opening a window cause is it hot in here for is it just me ?!
I immediately fell in love with Tillie, one of the FMCs. She’s a hot mess and honestly completely relatable! But what really has me in all my feels is her heartbreaking story. If anyone deserves an HEA it’s her!
Then add our happily married and very tentaclious ( yes I made a new word lol) couple into the equation. I mean Author Thea was like let’s take the hottest couple ever and give them tentacles and a fancy peen. Listen I ain’t complaining… I’m just a little sad this town doesn’t really exist lol
These three are absolutely adorable and also hands down some of the hottest scenes I’ve ever read. It’s the perfect mix of sweet and romantic, but also has that primal passion of mating and bonding.
And of course can we just talk about this quirky little town… of course it has a STATIONARY store that is absolutely not stationary. It’s honestly quite brilliant!
I cannot wait to see what happens next in this not-so-sleepy little town!
Here we are with a girl just doing her best with her grandma's shop. It might be fine but it MOVES on its own when it wants. Here comes Alex and Adrian looking for a place to live without having to hide what they are. They all come together and find happiness. Very fun read
Paper and Passion is part of the Ghostlight Falls series, a cozy paranormal shared world where anything can happen. Paper and Passion revolves around Tillie and her unruly cursed stationary shop.
Everyday the shop moves to a new location around town and she asks Mappy for help in locating it. She’s a strong and driven woman who would like some help with her shop. The unknown of when the shop will move makes it hard for anyone to want to work there. That is until Alex comes along and inquires about the job.
Let’s just say that Alex and her husband are straightforward with their intentions and this leads them on a sweet and spicy adventure. If you love cozy paranormal, sweet and spicy stories; you’re going to love this one. Thea did an amazing job with this short but spicy read! 🫶🏽
If it’s written by Thea, I’m reading it. This was a fun, quick read in the Ghostlight Falls series with plenty of spice. Instant love, fated mates, and “let’s continue the species” goodness. Can’t wait to see what the rest of the interconnected stories bring.
What a great story from the folk at Ghostlight Falls. I love how Alex and Adrian know that Tillie is the one and want to take care of her. With lots of Sheet-y the moving shop keeping them on their toes and hot spicy tenticle fun, it makes for a gripping read.
We get spice very early on, and though the story doesn't skimp on the spice, it was balanced so well by the interactions between all of the characters and the plot.
Tillie, Alex, and Adrian are all amazingly hot separately and together. But more than that, I loved that they connected with one another so quickly and deeply.
Definitely recommend this one and I'd love to visit Sheet-y Stationery...even if I had to trek across town.
oh, this was so good. I feel like I'm melting. As you guys know I'm a Thea Masen stan at this point. I've read all her books and ARC read most of them so when I received the ARC for this I was overjoyed. I knew a FFM written by Thea would be my ruin and sure enough, I was correct. This altered my brain chemistry. Tillie has been living in Ghostlight Falls for a while now and when her grandmother passed she took over the Sheet-y shop. But this isn't an ordinary shop. It's... lifelike, in the sense that it moves periodically. This leaves Tillie constantly frazzled but when two new married monsters, Alex and Adrian, arrive in town in search of their human mate who just happens to be Tillie, she's possibly more frazzled than she's ever been. These two monsters say they want to be with her but how could they know that when they just met? Tillie has had a bad experience in the past with a throuple and she's wary of what Alex and Adrian want but she just can't resist the pull she feels. Will Tillie accept their offer or will she take the safe route and stay away at all costs? Lord y'all. This had me MELTING. I, like, couldn't breathe cause it felt like I was being seduced. Alex was so gorgeous and seductive in everything she did I couldn't handle it. And Adrian was just so sexy and sweet I loved how he was there simply to support his women. Also, the fact that he came in his pants🤭ugh. I love that microtrope. And Alex and Adrian were just so sexy I could feel it through the book. And I just loved how much they loved Tillie. It was beautiful. I also loved how we got the breeding and lactation trope in this without it feeling like a pregnancy trope. Also, Sheet-y was a cutie pie taking us to all the places we needed to go. Like Bby was just trying to help. Mappy was also scrumptious and I cannot wait to read his book. I can just tell this whole series is going to be so good. Short sweet and spicy. Who couldn't ask for more?
Alex and Adrian come to Ghostlight Falls to find a happy life where creatures like them can live in peace. They didn’t think they would also find their mate!
Tillie inherited Sheet-y, the sentient stationery shop who likes to wander all over Ghostlight Falls, from her Grandmother and was planning on a life without love after heartache, until Alex and Adrian come to town.
I love how Alex & Adrian’s confidence balances Tillie’s clumsy shyness. They all bring out the best in one another. This isn’t just a smutty read, it’s about finding people who truly love and complete you, exactly as you are.
Paper and Passion is fast paced with a insta love storyline that I really enjoyed. It’s heartwarming and makes you believe that there is a person and a place for everyone, even if you have tentacles! Thea Masen has an easy, fun writing style that sucks you in and makes you relate to her characters easily. I enjoyed how her style flowed with the other Ghostlight Falls books as well.
My favourite moment was when Sheet-y stopped being an ass and actually helped the throuple out - you will come to love the moving store and much as the other characters in the book!
This is a spicy read with threesomes and breeding so check triggers before you start - but I found these to be heartwarming parts of the story.
This is perfect for readers who love monster romance, particularly tentacles, those who love a spicy read and anyone interesting in finding out more about polyamory and how it can work well.
I highly recommend this quick, sweet and smutty read
I just finished this book and absolutely loved it. I have read a few books by Thea Masen and have loved them so I had high hopes for this book as well. It did not disappoint. I saw posts about this book and the whole series. It definitely gave Fall/Halloween vibes.
I know that because this is a novella it is pretty insta love but I honestly have never minded that. I love that it is FFM also.
Alex and Adrian are looking for a human mate. Alex only goes in heat every 10 years and it's coming soon. Their kind is kraken like and can't have children without a human to carry the child.
Tillie is the owner of Sheet-y Stationary store that is constantly moving around the town. Tillie usually has to go to the visitors center to talked to Mappy to find where her store is. She is wanting to hire someone but what she gets wasn't expected.
I liked the way the story was set up. I loved the store moving. This does have a very unique tentacle peen, breeding, and some lactation.
Disclaimer: This is a 100% biased, but 100% accurate review of this book.
Non-spoilry summary: Tillie feels like she’s a hot mess, but honestly, anyone in her position would be if they spent their days chasing down their own store. The nomadic nature of GLF’s Sheet-y Stationary makes finding and keeping good employees hard, but when Alex and her husband apply, Tillie gets more than she bargined for--a couple who want to be way more than employees. Tillie would love to take what they're offering, but memories of her last broken heart are everywhere. Will she be able to let them go and give in to the best thing that’s ever happened to her?
Review: Thea is the QUEEN of sweet spice. You know the world is a st*t show right now. Just pick up this book and get lost in a world where a hot mess of a woman finds her fated mates and want nothing more than to adore her and knock her up.
I wish I could work at a store that moved around and was rarely in the same place that you left it at closing time! That sounds like such a fun place to work, and all those employees that Tillie interviewed who got spooked are all a bunch of squares.
I really wanted Paper and Passion to be longer so I could see more of Adrian and Alex and Tillie! They were so good together and I love that Alex was just as into Tillie as she was her husband. I'd love to read more of their family in the future, for sure!
Sheet-y is really fascinating too. It definitely seemed to get more helpful later on, which makes me wonder if it wasn't being inconvenient to Tillie because it was sentient enough to know her mates were coming. Sentient/semi-sentient buildings aren't things I see as much in stories, so I really enjoyed Thea's addition!
Paper and Passion was far more charming than I was expecting, and makes me fall even more in love with this little ridiculous town full of mystery and excitement!
Welcome back to Ghostlight Falls, where the inhabitants are diverse, the spice is ghost pepper level and the stationary store is anything but stationary!
I’m so glad to be back in my favorite PNW vacation spot, this time with Alex and Adrian, two sea creature hominids who are maybe related to Krakens (I’m not sure the species, I do not care, they’re pretty, have tentacles for hair, eat lots of seafood and also 😽) as they search for a human mate to bond and breed.
Ya’ll, I was not prepared! Loved it! Tillie, our human FMC, is clumsy, overwhelmed and desperately needs Alex and Adrian to love and cherish her, and they really REALLY do. The emotional bond between the 3 of them is so quick to form but still rings true and the 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ is on point. Highly recommend. Wish the tentacles were used more 😂
📜🔥sexii tentacles alert🔥📜 Paper and Passion by Thea Masen is the sordid, bookish fantasy romance that feels like scanning ur buttcheeks on a copier while doin’ it. Tender, funny, and unhinged, it blends small-town magic with big feelings, giving us MCs who made me swoon and a found family who deserves the world (and gets it, page by page).
Huge thanks to Thea Masen for letting me read this ARC, and thanks to the other authors of the Ghostlight Falls series!
It’s hottt like fresh ink, hilarious, and absolutely creative. I’m officially applying for permanent residency in Ghostlight Falls 🖋️✨ It took awhile for me to get into the flow of the writing at the beginning (kind of felt like I should have read another book first?? Was I missing something?) but I love the town and I love its inhabitants so that helped me!
Only in Ghostlight Falls could you inherit a stationery store that refuses to stay stationary, and then have it deliver not just office supplies, but a polyamorous tentacle romance.
Tillie never asked for Sheet-y Stationery, the cursed shop that likes to wander around town at will, but she’s stuck with it. What she doesn’t expect is for Alex and Adrian, the gorgeous, bonded pair from a dwindling species, to wind up on her doorstep. They don’t just want a job. They want her. As their mate.
This novella is part cozy paranormal rom-com, part monster breeding fantasy, and very tender and heartwarming. Tillie’s hesitance feels real after past heartbreak, but Alex’s confidence and Adrian’s sweet steadiness wear her down in the most deliciously spicy ways. And yes, the spice is wild. We've got tentacles, heat cycles, breeding urgency, even a little lactation kink. It’s funny, earnest, and unexpectedly romantic.
Sheet-y itself is almost a character, stomping and teleporting its way into the plot like a cranky matchmaker. The chaos of a sentient shop mixed with a fated throuple makes for a short read that’s equal parts laugh-out-loud absurd and blush-inducing hot.
Is there something in the air? I swear there is something in Ghostlight falls that makes you excited for the "oddest" things. Ironically, this book had some of the least weird ideas.
Alex and Adrian are searching for their third for multiple reasons. Both to complete their relationship and lives (they really want kids). While, poor Tillie is just trying to get through the everyday with little thanks to the strangely mobile stationary store. Or is there more thanks that should be given to this sentient store.
Idk how you can feel so much in just 70 pages but I did. But the big one was all the heat 🥵 There was no shortage. And absolutely no one was left out at any part. I'm used to the MMF troubles but looks like I need to read more MFF 😋
This was cute, funny and smutty! I loved it. I’m absolutely in love with Ghostlight Falls. All of its unique inhabitants and crazy goings on are utter perfection!
Tillie is funny and relatable. She’s clumsy, scatterbrained ( in the best way ) and the proud owner of the sentient/nomadic/cursed Sheet-y. Sheet-y likes to move around and plant themselves in the most erratic spots. Adrian and Alex are couple goals! They are so loving and good to each other. Adrian is the anchor. Alex has got her feelings hurt in the past but as soon as she sees Tillie, she knows she the one. Oh and they have tentacles. 😍
If there is no Ghostlight Falls drinking game for where’s Sheet-y, there needs to be!
I had a lot of fun with it. The humor and banter between the three of them is such a highlight– it’s sharp, witty, and just plain entertaining. And really, why wouldn’t you want to be a third party when their hair is basically tentacles? That imagery alone just made me think Avatar.
On the steamier side, the smut is actually pretty tame compared to what I usually expect, but I didn’t mind, it felt more like a good breather, a filler piece that still keeps you engaged without overwhelming the story. What I’m most intrigued by is how this fits into the bigger Ghost Light Falls stories. It definitely feels like a puzzle piece sliding into place, and I’m curious to see how it interlocks with the rest of the books in the series. Overall, not the spiciest read, but a fun and worthwhile addition if you’re following along with the world-building.
I was skeptical reading the first chapter, but I trust Thea. She did not do me wrong! This is a sweet and spicy monster romance.
Tillie lives in a town where everyone is accepted - humans and other creatures. When hiring an assistant fails due to a less-than-stable store (literally), she's shocked when gorgeous Alex walks in. Instant attraction. Then comes Alex's equally beautiful husband, Adrian. They have an interesting proposition that may change Tillie's life.
I have not read a lot of monster romance outside of the standard weres and vampires. I'm just saying there was tentacle hair involved, and it was freaking hot. Thea always brings the spice and this was no exception. Spicy small town vibes really worked for me. This story is part of a series, but can definitely be read on its own.
This is a fun and steamy monster romance. Ghostlight Falls just gets better with every novella I read.
This a a mated monster couple looking for their human mate to complete their throuple and finish their family by being able to have kids.
Alex and Adrian are a bonded pair. They find Tillie and know that she is supposed to be their human mate. However, Tillie has bad experience being in a throuple and she’s wary. But very drawn to them
I enjoyed this book. It’s sweet and funny. And steamy and draws you in. It’s definitely a good time. And perfect for the upcoming spooky season.
I received an ARC for free. I am voluntarily leaving this review.
Tillie owns a stationary store that isn't so stationary, called Sheet-y. She desperately needs to hire a couple of employees, but can't find anyone. Until Adrian and Alex walk in.. They're sort of Kraken folk, but also not. There are tentacles though, plenty of tentacles.
Adrian and Alex need to find their human mate so that they can have children since their breed has difficulty conceiving. This throuple thrives off of one another and shows they care for each other. There is definitely some breeding, so be prepared hehe. Thank you for an ARC of this book. I have been LOVING Ghostlight Falls.
If you read The Totally Typical Tale of Mappy McMapface, then you may recognize Tillie as the woman on the hunt for Sheet-y. True to Ghostlight Falls fashion, Sheet-y isn’t your typical store and Tillie finds herself having to hunt down each new location.
Alex and Adrian are also not your run of the mill characters and they want Tillie. I loved the relationship growth in such a short period of time in this story. Tillie has been spurned by polyamory in the past, but Alex and Adrian do a wonderful job of showing how a relationship such as this is supposed to be. This book had the right amount of sweet to bring oomph to the spice.
Tillie owns Sheet-y Stationery. She is looking for an employee. She is about to give up until Alex walks in. As soon as she does, Tillie finds herself drawn to her. Yet, Alex is not the only one. Alex is married and she and husband, Adrian are looking to complete their family. Tillie is the perfect addition.
I absolutely loved Sheet-y. I love that it never stayed in one place and was always moving to different locations in Ghostlight Falls. Tillie never knew where she would find the shop. OMG. The chemistry that Tillie, Alex, and Adrian all shared together is off the charts HOT! Even Sheet-y agrees. I will never grow old of tenacles. Poly...YES!!! This is one spicy read. Gimmie more.
