Her high school boyfriend who knew how to stitch up anything but feelings.
Lincoln Thompson was her quiet protector. Loyal, steady, and always just out of reach.

Once, the three of them crossed a line.
Now, the fallout is staring them in the face.
Freckle-faced, full of questions, and calling her Mama.

Some truths can’t stay buried.
Some love stories aren’t meant to be simple.

I was really impressed by this one. I’m not usually a fan of angsty stories or the single mom trope. But after reading the first few paragraphs I was hooked. I really enjoyed the author’s writing style and thought she did a great job of bringing the characters and situation to life. Maeve, Lincoln and Shaun made a great throuple. Their relationship and the bonds between them made the story so much more intense and their struggle to come together felt real and raw. The story flowed really well and I even found myself tearing up at one point. It was emotional, moving and honest. If you’re looking for a quick, sexy read, this isn’t it. Yes, this book has some very sexy times, but there is a lot more to it. It’s ultimately much deeper and speaks about forgiveness, trust and love. I definitely recommend it.

The story, character and spice were great. I did struggle with the amount of angst in the book, but it also worked well into the actual story so I didn't mind it as much as I normally would. I even forgave it for almost making me tear up at one point lol. It really was a wonderful book & I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Get ready for the tugs on your heartstrings as you read this second chance romance. From Maeve's misunderstanding of a conversation between Shaun and Lincoln to the surprise of a unknown child, you will experience a range of emotions reading this story. There are plenty of light moments, especially involving 6 year-old Jude. The chemistry between the three main characters is sizzling hot and it was clear there was plenty of love.

It was ok. I feel like the author gave Shaun the shaft. The way it was written was almost like he was the third wheel. Like it was always Meave and Lincoln and then I guess Shaun can be here too. It made me sad for him.

I liked it. I HATED the fact that Jude got hurt then Maeve just “needed” someone to blame. Like it was YOUR fault too. You both are at fault for not watching Jude.
