Hunt Me

Rate this book
It has been seven years since the virus took everyone I loved. A part of me died that day, and since then, my life has been filled with fear.
Today should be no different.
But it is.
I'm in his city, taunting him as he hunts me. Running from the Skull—one of Glasgow's most violent groups—should make me scared, terrified even, but all I feel is alive.

I was so ready to give this book 5 stars just for the experience 🫦 I had an absolute blast reading it.
The vibe? Think Ice Planet Barbarians, but swap the monsters for some good old-fashioned dismemberment.
All the tropes are done so well I couldn’t stop giggling.
Highly recommend for an easy read and two delightfully chaotic evenings.

This book was over the course of 3 days. You could flick through the book and still know what’s going on with the lack of detail. This probs needed to be proofread, grammar was shocking.

It was okay. There were certainly plenty of grammar issues. I enjoyed parts of it while others were boring. I really liked the premise but unfortunately written poorly. If it wasn't a quick book id have DNFed it. Ill have to look for better books with a similar theme.

Hmmm

Not really sure how I finished this book, post apocalyptic but the entire book happens in like 2 days I know the world is ending and all but calm down. I don’t think I’d recommend I’m not interested enough to read the next book also plot who? Where? What?

I had so much fun reading this and the plot line seemed really fresh to me.There were a lot of things i initially wasnt sure about but ended up really liking.

There were just a few flaws in the writing but im hopeful that will be fleshed out as the series continues

i feel like this has so much potential, but fell somewhat flat. idk i’m so confused about the timeline, like the whole book is over a span of 3 days. but it did its job. idk. slay?

Did I have some moments where I was like “you guys literally just met yesterday”? Yeah
Did I cringe in some moments? Yep
Did I, however, read this in one sitting? Hell yeah

Honestly, I love me a good post apocalyptic story. It is very much smut centered and the writing was alright, but I did appreciate how the FMC was sassy and badass.

Can’t wait for the next book in the series!

I saw someone on tiktok raving about this book, and the description on the back sounded super interesting to me, so when I had the chance to read it, I took it.

The spelling/grammar/etc. in this book was the first thing that made me hesitant to keep reading. There’s so many errors. It needs an editor so badly. There’s sentences where the same phrase is said multiple times (once at the beginning and once at the end of the sentence), letters attached to the wrong word, tons of missing punctuation, and missing/wrong words scattered throughout the majority of the sentences.

I was willing to overlook this because the story seemed interesting enough, but then I started to find myself rereading sentences. There are descriptions and lots of details missing that are really needed to fully picture and follow the story. For example, a balcony (we think) is breaking, and then one of the characters slams to the ground, but then another character who was also on the balcony is looking over her to make sure she’s okay seconds after the fall, which wouldn’t be possible. This is because the character didn’t fall off the balcony, but rather the other character instead moved her and slammed her into the ground near the balcony. But you don’t even remotely know this until after and then you’re like wait what? This happened so many times for me.

These two things really are what solidified this as a DNF for me. The writing just wasn’t solid enough for me to really engage and enjoy the story, so I just stopped reading it.

Hunt Me by Florence Leigh is a thrilling, pulse-pounding dive into a post-apocalyptic world brimming with danger, heat, and unexpected tenderness. From the first page, the story hooks you with its intensity and refuses to let go. The pacing is relentless in the best way possible, pulling you through every chase, fight, and heart-thudding encounter between Fauna and Ruaridh.

Fauna is an incredible lead: strong, smart, and absolutely unapologetic. She’s not written as a damsel waiting to be saved, but as a survivor who fights, taunts, and challenges her fate at every turn. Her chemistry with Ruaridh leaps off the page; their connection is volatile, passionate, and filled with that chaotic energy that makes apocalypse romances so addictive.

The writing keeps you grounded in the grit of their world while still delivering emotional depth. I loved how Leigh balanced danger and desire, never letting one overshadow the other. The dialogue between Fauna and Ruaridh, wild and sharp-edged, made every interaction unforgettable.

Hunt Me is the kind of story you devour in one sitting - dark, fast, and unexpectedly tender beneath the chaos. I can’t wait to see where the series goes next.

Dark, Thrilling, and Surprisingly Addictive

Hunt Me by Florence Leigh is a gritty, pulse-pounding dystopian romance that pulls you straight into a world where survival is everything—and danger is intoxicating. Set years after a devastating virus, the story follows a heroine shaped by loss and fear, now thrown into a deadly game of cat and mouse with one of Glasgow’s most violent groups, the Skull.

What makes this book stand out is the electric tension running through every chapter. The author captures that sharp mix of terror and adrenaline so vividly that you can feel it in your chest. Watching the main character confront all the challenges —and feel more alive than she has in ages—adds an emotional depth that elevates the entire story.

The world-building is atmospheric, the stakes are high, and the sense of danger never lets up. While some scenes could benefit from a bit more detail or backstory, the raw intensity and fast pacing keep you fully invested.

A gripping, darkly enticing read perfect for fans who love dystopian survival stories with a fierce heroine and a haunting sense of desire woven into the danger.

The idea was definitely there and I enjoyed the plot. However it definitely needs to run through another round of editing, there was a lot of grammar errors and it took me out of the read a bit. As well the characters spoke like this:
‘Hi’
Instead of traditional:
“Hi”
And it was very hard to adjust to. I’m not sure why the author made this choice or if I’m uniformed etc but it was strange and also took me out of the experience
Nonetheless the idea was truly fun and the characters had good chemistry and I can see future books being set up to be fun but I’m not sure I will be reading

Great plot and great characters

Seen this on tiktok and loved the character art they had with so decided to read

Honestly I quite enjoyed the story, world building and characters

I do wish it was a little longer with more time to build the characters relationship more as I felt quite quick ( like super fast burn) like a few days of them falling in love, I wpuld of loved more moments of just them building that, the spice was great

Look forward to more books in this world

I love a good apocalypse romance and this one delivers. I spent the first probably 40% of the book with major anxiety waiting for them to commit a major bedroom hygiene foul, but honestly that added to the fun of the story.

The book could use a good review by an editor. While I didn’t notice any major errors, there were parts of it that felt a bit redundant.

I absolutely loved Fauna as a character in this book! I especially adored how she wasn't made into a damsel in distress. Fauna and Ruaridh are perfect for each other, every page I turned was an attention-grabber because of them and the absolutely bat-shit crazy crap that came out of their mouths.

got me out of a reading funk. The FMC was a breath of fresh air such a toughnut brat. The MC really fell first and fast. The romance was pure Dystopian no time time to wait - but there was no insta cringe.

Cheers to the author - I really want this series to continue & I hope there is an audio book.

I was looking for something different after my last read, and this book delivered. The characters drew me in, and the story kept me turning pages. I really enjoyed it. My only small disappointment is that we didn’t get to see them at the stadium, because that would’ve been fun to see. Still, a fun read though.

It was good. A bit insta-love vibe (which is not really my vibe...) but who am I to judge I've never lived through an apocalypse?! I liked that it was short and tension filled though. He was trying a bit tooooo hard to be an "alpha" vibe which was lowkey icky, but once again that is so my preference.

Did I still read this in one sitting? For sure :)
Will I read the second book? Probably.

the book was a lot of fun.
On hand It was an easy read (with many grammatical error) but it could have been a little bit slower and long to really make the connection between the main characters build up. I would really like the following book to go into more detail about world building.
I really enjoyed the characters even though you mostly only get to know them on a surface level

I super enjoyed this quick read! A sultry dystopian blend of Royals of Forsyth and The Four Horsemen. I stumbled across the ad for this on TikTok and I’m so glad I did, added it to my kindle library immediately. I can’t wait to read the rest of them!

Awful I tell you..
I thought I was going to get a dark romance dystopian vibe but all I got was an obsessive guy being possessive of a girl he met 3 days ago ??!! That’s right, this entire book was within a span of like 3 days. Anyways, hated it

good plot

I loved the whole aura of this book, the plot was there but I was a tad bit confused in some part which could definitely be a me thing lol. I think their story could be so much more complex and hopefully the second book will be much deeper! A good read!

No. Just no. Oh my good god this was NOT for me. Not good at all, truth be told 😭. I see the potential I really do and I think it could’ve been such a good written story with good written characters but it all got ruined and maybe we got lost in translation or something because WHAT was this book 💔
