Mate Quest by JA Hornbuckle The Mission: To travel to small blue planet, to seek and secure females in order to mate and repopulate our dying worlds. The Timeframe: One half of Earth’s rotation around its Sun. Resources Available: Earth’s worldwide web (also known as the Internet) Conclusion to Date: Original plan too simplistic in not anticipating the independent minds and lifestyles of human females.
Mating Urge by Michelle Howard Desperate to escape her stepfather and false criminal charges, Elliana Cage needed a way out fast. Aran T'Kar didn't expect to discover a beautiful woman hiding out on the Zanian IX.
Anthology. I bought it for the MK Eidem story from the Tornian universe.
Unfortunately, the story was about a couple from the Tornian-verse that I had no real interest in: Lord Oryon & Isis. That being said, I still enjoyed the story. It was a sweet story showing a little slice of life as a treasured female as all the changes occurred resulting from events in Grim.
There's a little conflict, but nothing huge. You don't see any of the other Tornian characters outside of Lord Oryon's family.
HEA Recomended.
Have not yet hit the other stories in this anthology.

I loved it because it was much better than Wray. really got another glimpse in the Tornian society through Isis and Orion. It was fun to see how Tornian's only couple lived after the earth women introduced them to our ways - kissing and sleeping next to a man - I am now, looking forward to reading Ynyr story with Abby.
Oryon By MK Eidem 5 STARS I love this serie. Lord Oryon and Lady Isis were a great pair in the previous books and I was very curious about reading more about them, about discovering what made them so different from other Tornians. Definitely not disappointed as reading their story as they come back to their House makes a lot of things clear and more interesting. Who would have thought it was even harder for a Tornian female to change the way of her people, even her children than it was for human women!! Isis's love and courage were very inspiring and I can't wait to read Ynir's story as he promises to be just as fierce and honorable as his father. Also curious to see in what ways the Goddess will be merciful...twin girls?? :)
Mate Quest by JA Hornbuckle 2.5 Stars This short story was interesting and quite funny as the alien warriors looking for females (so not original topic!! :( ) actually use Internet and speed dating websites. That was definitely a fun turn. But their was little story as we missed the whole meeting and courtship process which was the point of the story in my opinion. The rest was ok.
Mating Urge by Michelle Howard 3 Stars A good story specially as I am a fan of shapeshifters, specially cats but again here, little story and love story settle around a day of sex and mating urges... I don't really see how it translates to falling in love. But I would definitely enjoy reading more stories in this univers. I think there are a few good stories that could be told.
What can I say? Oryon and Isis's story is simply perfect. And I can't wait to find out their Ynyr. Ull, Vali and Zev story and perhaps their pretty little girl too? Hm...:)
Ok, I love J.A Hornbuckle books, I read lots of them. So this is a nice surprise, and certainly will read other warriors story too. But please I hope the next heroines won't play hard to get and waiting till the last minute to say yes to the hero. These Heros have to go very far to find their mates, so they really don't need heroines who afraid with their world, which at the end made the heroines look weak:( I really want you to pair them with smart, sweet but have strong minds heroines and she want him as much as he want her and doesn't mind to leave everything behind to be with him, in other word she will be his truly mate:)
I never read Michelle Howard's book before, after read this one, I certainly will read more.
I got this to read Mate Quest by J.A. Hornbuckle. It's the prequel for a Sci-Fi series she wrote.
It did not turn out well for me. I will not move on to book 01 either. I believe maybe she should stick with what she does very well - writing Mob books.
Oryon - MK Eidem **** Oryon and Isis. Isis has learned a lot from her Earth friends and is ready to put it all into action. Oryon is loving her new 'knowledge' (nudge nudge wink wink) and her new found self confidence. But when she starts to exercise her newly awakened desire to help her husband, there are those who are not so receptive to a woman taking charge. It's predictable but comfortably so and sweet. You get a nice peak into Oryon's and Isis's love and how they've held an empire at bay for years. There's a nice epilogue too.
Mate Quest - JA hornbuckle *** Rykhan and Leah. Faithfully following the 'Mars needs women' trope, we meet a group of hunky, virgin alien men in need of a makeover, and looking for love. Rykhan was just looking for a mate, but in Leah he found the other half of his soul and a gift from his God. Leah, of course, doesn't see herself as anything special. There's some mystical babble about matching metal symbols magically appearing and spicing up their love lives. There's also a side romance between Leah's friend and another warrior. I quite enjoyed this story, even if it is pretty formulaic. The one thing that annoyed the cr*p out of me was Leah's friend Pam and her antiquated lingo that was supposed to sound 'cool' (and yes, I know you can't even say 'cool' anymore without dating yourself). Anyways, it was distracting and straight outta the 90's. I mean, seriously 'dude'?!?
Mating Urge - Michelle Howard **** Ellie and Aran. A wanted woman, framed by her murderous step-father finds shelter on an outbound spaceship. She thinks to stowaway but ends up stumbling into the room of the chief of security as he enters the worst mating heat he's had in his life. It's pretty straight forward but highly entertaining. I'd love to read more about these characters in future and maybe we will as it is peripheral to the 'A World Beyond' series and even has a few cameos from those characters. Found this one hard to put down!
All these stories are OW and OM free and would i'm sure meet any safety gang standards ; ) Just pure enjoyment here!
Oryon (Tornians, #2.5) by M K Eidem A sweet love story, an older couple with grown children, discover new depths to there love.
Mating Urge by Michelle Howard Desperate to escape her stepfather and false criminal charges, Elliana Cage needed a way out fast. It made perfect sense to sneak onboard the first ship departing her home world. When her path crosses with a handsome stranger, she’s in for the surprise of her life. Aran T'Kar didn't expect to discover a beautiful woman hiding out on the Zanian IX. Protocol dictates immediate detainment, but Aran can't resist the urge to take one forbidden taste.
Mate Quest-JA Hornbuckle -Begin Transmission- To: Quest Council From: Bronsyn Llent, Quest Commander The Mission: To travel to small blue planet, to seek and secure females in order to mate and repopulate our dying worlds. The Timeframe: One half of Earth’s rotation around its Sun. Resources Available: Earth’s worldwide web (also known as the Internet) Conclusion to Date: Original plan too simplistic in not anticipating the independent minds and lifestyles of human females. Most complications experienced seem to result from this unforeseen circumstance. New strategy needed to ensure success. -End Transmission
The major upheaval of social and family structures started by Grimm and Wray with their human mates is a much welcome and needed evolution, unfortunately not all like the idea of change. This story is unique as the heroine, Isis is not from earth, but is Tornian. Isis is the very opposite from the cold self-centered,materialistic, unemotional females of her race. She has actually fallen in love with Lord Oryon and values their relationship as well as her role as a mother. The challenges their society places upon them makes the bonds of these soulmates even stronger. A beautiful story, can't wait for the next book in the series. Love how the strong females from earth are having an impact on these warriors that they never expected. The other two stories were entertaining if not a bit short. They are worth checking out, but the real gem here is Oryon!

I loved it! My forst book from JA Hornbuckle and her first SF. Sweet! I am looking forward to the future series. They all have potential. One down, 5 more sweet aliens to go.
Full confession...I only bought this for the first story in it.
Book 1: ORYON by M.K. Eidem **** (4 stars) I really enjoyed this one. I am loving Ms. Eidem's Tornian novels and this was a nice addition to the story. We're given more insight into the plight of the Tornians and the Goddess's retribution against them. I can't wait until the next book.
Book 2: Mate Search by J.A. Hornbuckle ** (2 stars) This one was okay, it didn't really jump out at me and make me want to read the next book in the series.
Book 3: Mating Urge by Michelle Howard *** (3 stars) I liked this one a little better than the second book, and I think I might want to read more of her stories in this series but not enough to go run out and get them just yet.
What a great idea for 3 authors to get together and have a joint book. I really enjoyed all 3 books individually and reasonably priced.
Oryon By MK Eidem - Really enjoy books about Tornians. This book follows on from Wray (Book 2) so if you haven't read the previous books you will find spoilers.
Mate Quest by JA Hornbuckle - some really funny dialogue contained.
Mating Urge by Michelle Howard - liked the concept, some of it unbelievable (but, that is why they call it fiction, after all!) overall a good book.
Oryon - a good insight into the world after Grim's story. Would have liked more at the end. Really liked Isis, Oryon and Vali. I hope he will have his own story at some point. 4 stars
Mate Search - didn't really connect with this story or the characters. It ended too abruptly. 2 stars
Mating Urge - good story with interesting characters. Would have liked to know more about the couple returning to his home world. 3 stars
I loved all of the stories. My favorite was the story of Oryon and Isis. I have loved all of M.K. Eidem's books. I'll be watching for more books by all these authors.
I bought it for the Tornian story which was pretty good. Not as good as the full length novels but enjoyable. The second story was lame. Big time. Barely finished it. Last story was better but I've never been a fan of insta-love.
I really enjoyed all three of the novellas in this anthology. The one by M.K. Eidem is a great addition to the Tornian series. I am interested to read the next one in the series by the other two authors.
Je n'ai lu que la première nouvelle puisque je voulais en savoir plus sur un couple que l'on rencontre dans le roman Grim (Tornian 1). C'était une nouvelle très mignonne qui apporte un éclairage intéressant à cet univers différent du nôtre.
This was so good. I enjoyed each of the books. Each book has such passion and the plots are what kept me reading far into the night. I love M.K. Eidem, J.A. Hornbuckle, and Michelle Howard. They are great authors . Highly recommend.
Love with Boundaries has several short stories that are all well written but my favorite is by M.K Eidem. It is part of the Tornians series and is about Lord Oryon and Lady Isis. Great read.
