So as an insurance policy, he invites Quill Gordon and his sidekick Sam Akers along on the weekend to keep an eye on things. In a castle full of dysfunctional people and suspicious servants, there’s a lot to see, and sure enough, before long, a violent death by unnatural causes. With the group stranded on the island, it’s up to Gordon and Sam to get to the bottom of it all, with no information other than what they can get from reluctant suspects who seem to be trying to hide something.

A completely engaging Quill Gordon mystery that follows the “locked room” and “haunted house” motifs. A perfect book for a blustery, winter night….or even a hot, humid summer afternoon! Keep them coming!!!!
