I read this book as a beta reader and trust meee, Erin’s sophomore novel is a 10/5 absolute perfection. I’m still thinking about it.

4.5!!! There is just something so exquisite about sapphic yearning.
I admit I am not the biggest fan of shows based on challenges because I have the hardest time picturing exactly what it is they’re doing, but Erin Baldwin wrote it so well that I could even imagine the scenes as they were going on! And while I find this show completely crazy (how much money would The Adventureverse possibly need to operate when you're switching countries every 2 days?), I do find the appeal in it.
I loved our main girls, Noelle and Yumi were both so special and so down bad for each other. I’m surprised they managed to start this been without having talked for a year because they seem absolutely obsessed with one another.
I loved Noelle’s internal arc about her father’s illness, I found it very touching and moving. I really love what her motivation to be on the show was, rather than just for the sake of it, which very easily could've made this completely unrealistic. Also, I LOVED yumi! Her and Priya from WYWH should form a club for Very Cool Girls.

Loved it!! I also loved Wish You Weren't Here, but this one was special. Excellent neurodiverse rep, heartbreaking backstories, and of course a super sweet romance to go with all the rest! It was the perfect combination. I had a great time following Noelle and Yumi on their whirlwind adventure around the world, and I know you will too!

No one crafts a character like Erin Baldwin. Buckle up for an emotional ride. Somehow Erin made me care about reality TV? Witchcraft. Your new favorite sapphics have arrived. Well, if you're lucky enough to read early. If not, they will arrive June 2026 and you will be begging for whatever Erin has in store next.
