Gozu is begging for NonCon quite often throughout this book. That is my only real complaint. I don’t need him to say 🍇 over and over for me to understand what he wants.
Beyond that, I love a sexy erotic isekai! Gimme more!!!
Not sure if this one is for me. While I do enjoy subverted tropes from time to time, this one just subverted them to a point where I didn't find it the least bit sexy or engaging.
It's also incredibly graphic. The author shows us EVERYTHING. I'm just not into that either. But if you are into graphic sex scenes, you will love this.
I guess I'm way more into flowery BL and "spice" that leaves more to the imagination. This just looks like porn to me. But to each their own! I'm sure there is an audience out there for this, and they will love it!
So though I'm giving it 2 stars, that is just because it's not to my personal taste. If you like feminine semes and masculine, horny ukes, and seeing EVERY single body part and ejaculation then THIS IS THE MANGA FOR YOU! And more power to ya!
Had a great time with this! Erotica with a really great subplot. Each sex scene actually adds to the characters, either their relationship or backstory. Especially Gozu, we see him clearly still processing a lot of trauma via sex. I loved how despite Evelogia's cute appearance, he's very much the top and Gozu never feminizes or deminishes him. Meanwhile, Gozu feminizes himself all the time and loves that. We love that for him. We also get to see a lot of tropes and stereotypes turned sideways and explored in different ways. I'm honestly really looking forward to the future Hero vs Demon King thing after all of Eve and Gozu adventures. Looking forward to the rest of the series. Great example of how erotica does not cancel out depth. Heads up though, Gozu loves consensual non-consent. Be aware and be safe. Also, rape pedophilia mentions in Gozu's backstory.
I don't really know how to rate this at the moment. I picked it up because the premise sounded kind of funny and it's right up my alley. And it IS funny. Sometimes. Totally ridiculous in many instances (but that's fine with me). There are some serious and even sweet moments, too, so it's not all chaos. The backstories here are all terrible - no wonder they have a deep-seated rage against the world. However, the real issue is Evelogia's age. With manga it can be really hard to tell when someone is supposed to be 12 or 18, because different stories will use the same sort of imagery for both, and that's the problem here. It's very explicit, so Evelogia's age really does matter. That said, I can't find anything anywhere that actually says how old he's supposed to be, just that he's younger than when he tries to destroy the world. So I guess it's up to the reader to decide?
Gozu is a freak and I am here for it! He is a masochistic sub for Eve with no qualms about demanding sex at every opportunity. But this story has a lot more heart than it lets on. They both have to deal with the trauma of being unloved and misunderstood by the people around them and their care for each other helps them move past that one step at a time.
It's also very funny and subversive about video game tropes. The art is great and Eve is super cute and cool while Gozu is very sexy and caring. I can't wait for the next volume!
Ok actually stellar. I was a little confused by the beginning but I figured it out. I looooove that Gozu is the bottom and he’s so masculine and needy at the same time. I like the “love/like” at first sight stuff in manga when it makes sense and this one makes sense. They get to grow together!! I also feel like Gozu is representation of getting to be with your fave fictional character so I can’t blame him.
"Show me what else ya got. Give me more. Destroy me..."
This was sooooooo much smuttier than I expected it to be and I loved every second of it!!
I'm curious how much of the original game is going to show itself in this world, as Gozu remembers it. But so far their relationship is super funny and I have to admit: I love myself a beefy bottom. So I was sold from page 30♡
