I am obsessed with this book, I really enjoyed it. It made me feel all fuzzy inside. The banter between the characters was hilarious and I loved the found families and the relationships that got rekindled throughout. I liked following the stories of each character, and each of them using their power to help find Misty and then when they met someone from their past, learning about what had happened to them and how they got to be where they are now was really interesting. The journey we went on while visiting all the places that Em had been with Misty in the past and she was now there to find her and how the people and places all linked together. It was like one big hug and normally I can't cope with that amount of soppyness but it just worked because of the humour but there was also some sadness in there too. It was a really easy read and yes there were some mistakes ( at one point Em was talking to Sophie on the phone and it mistakenly said Laura instead) but I found the book so engaging that I could ignore the few mistakes in it There was a bit near the middle where it kind of threw up gender equality for a few chapters and that was a bit much for me personally but overall I loved the book. 5 star read and I look forward to reading more by her
It’s a fun premise that is funny and sweet yet still manages to tug on your heart strings.
I love that every character gets a complete back story (even the animals!) and there’s a wide mix of interesting and diverse characters as always. A great read and would thoroughly recommend.
Vibes: 5⭐ Plot: 4⭐ Characters: 5⭐ Spice: a few kisses!
This is a joy to read. It is the definition of a cozy read. It is light and easy with some truly weird small powers! This is a classic Kathy book, great characters and humour, and a huge amount of dialogue.
The plot is meandering and tbh isn't a super strong feature of the book! It's more about people and found family and all that comes with that, so it's absence doesn't really impact enjoyment at all!
