Absolute Fulfillment

Rate this book
Change is inevitable, even when we’re set in our ways. Life always has a way of transforming those plans.

Rennix has spent most of his life playing game after game until he just wanted solitude. Then out of nowhere he’s blinded by siblings he never knew existed, and a woman who refuses to give him the time of day. Gentleman’s club owner by night, and human craving something else by day. He and his twin Reminisce are far from home, in a new city with new rules. A change he didn’t see coming is on the horizon, because for once he realizes that what he thought he wanted he didn’t.

Caya is healing…or at least trying to. Her goal is to give her son what she never had. However healing isn’t linear, and everything happens in its own time. The last thing she intended was to find herself craving the very man she knew would challenge her healing. Propositioned for one night, she turns him down … Only then forced to see him in a new light. One she didn’t see possible until he was lying in her bed telling her to go to sleep.

She told herself he wasn’t the kind of man she needed in her life— outspoken, rude and owned a strip club. The thing is her body had a plan of it’s own. Not only that, but the beginning of a friendship neither of them knew they needed brings forth a boatload of transition? The type of change neither of them saw coming until it was too late.

Cute enough but it was a bit boring like toward the end I just wanted it to be over.

Absolute FULFILLMENT

Rennix was everything. The way he was open and willing to see what this love this was about with Cay was beautiful to witness. No games, a little hesitation at something new, but he was 10 toes down to explore it and live in the peace she provided. No therapist needed when you got a good man to pillow talk to about life and is supportive of your dreams.

Crazyyyy

The two crazies matching energy and belong together. Even though Renny was crazy for the trapping, Caya knew what was up. I need Rem’s story because whew. And I love Harlem & Kinga still

(2.75⭐️) I struggled getting through this for some reason. I like that Rennix knew what he wanted & applied pressure when it came to Caya. And I enjoyed their relationship banter and how much they loved each other. Also love Rennix being the baby whisperer & how he cared for Adonis. But he was a bit too aggressive in his pursuits somewhat. Especially when it came to wanting to take their relationship to the next level (moving in & baby)…just felt a bit overbearing. And some of the side plots just felt a little random. Not a bad book, I just think it wasn’t quite for me. I also felt this way about the last book too though. Kinga & Harlem’s story has been my favorite so far.

Okay

This was an okay read. Tbh I found the characters boring, and could not get invested in them and that's important to me.

I really enjoyed this book. It was something about Rennix that resonated with me. Cay definitely deserved him. They balanced each other out. Kennedy B makes reading so easy. Her way of writing just makes sense and really tells us a story.

I absolutely loved the relationship between Reminisce and Rennix. Reminisce is definitely that man! He was very intriguing and had me wanting to hear more of his side. Hopefully, she gives us a book about Reminisce. All of the siblings were an added bonus. Dimitri and Jade brought the banter too! I loved them all. Add Reminisce in there and it was over.

Kinga and Harlem’s relationship was everything! I loved those too. Overall, I loved how Kennedy intertwined each character without taking away from the story. We were able to see how their character qualities complemented each other. I miss them already 😫.

I got happy when Rennix and Cay finally got a break . All Rennix was trying to do was love on his woman. One thing I really like that Kennedy did was that she didn’t drag out their attraction to each other or their relationship. Cay realized that she needed to do the work in order for her and Renny to work and she did it. Renny realized that he needed to let go and be honest with himself about loving Cay and he did! I LOVED that Kennedy did it. They fixed whatever issue there was and kept it moving. This was a quick and easy read that I would highly recommend.

Pretty Good, Until...

Instead of writing a full story about Rennix and Caya the author should have either given them a novella or just made them supporting characters in Reminisce's book because while this was supposed to be their story, they didn't stand out- Reminisce stole the show. Rennix had some comically unhinged moments, but other than that his character didn't leave any lasting impression and it felt like his twin was always there to fight his battles. Then Caya, when we first get into her storyline I respected that she was in therapy, loved her son, enjoyed doing hair and was a good big sister to her college age sister. After a couple nights with Rennix and in direct conflict to her therapists advice of not making her home in a man. Not only did she make that man her home in a very short time but she also moved her son into his actual home because he said so, before her son really knew him. Then she let him trap her with a baby and then the book said "The End". No epilouge. Just "The End".

Overall, there were some things that I liked about these characters and I thought the storyline was pretty good until the end. The end just made me feel like time wasted. So while I am interested in learning more about Reminisce, I dislike abrupt endings that do not include epilouges so I will probably end it right here with this crew.

Just my thoughts...

Rennix did NOT come to play. I loved how he moved...everything about him was intentional. He was emotionally open, mature, and actually communicated like a grown man. No guessing, no confusion...just real, direct energy. And his dynamic with his twin? Hilarious. That added such a good layer to his character.

Caya… whew, I saw a little bit of myself in her. Definitely a reformed crashout. But I’m not even going to lie, her overthinking got on my nerves at times. She needed a little too much reassurance for me.
That being said, Rennix was the perfect man for her. He met her where she was without making her feel crazy, and I appreciated that balance.

One thing I really liked about Rennix was how nonchalant he was about his “crazy” moments. It didn’t feel forced or overly dramatic. He just owned who he was, and that confidence carried through the entire story.

Overall, this was a strong mix of humor, emotional maturity, and intentional love. Kennedy B is really consistent with giving us men who stand on business and love with purpose and I’m here for it.

I stated in my “Where Home Lies” review that I felt like a book with Rennix, Reminisce, and Dimitri would be coming out soon when they popped up on Dimitri staying that they were brothers so I was very excited to read Rennix & Caya’s story. It was okay and the story line was way drawn out lacking in the drama area in my opinion. I thought Rennix and Reminisce would be bringing more action and drama. I was glad that the story didn’t turn to them trying to use Caya to get at Rennix since Juicy did know where Caya’s shop was at. For Kinga to be running the streets they should’ve known way sooner who tried to rob Rennix’s club and who shot him. I like that we got an update on Kinga & Harlem and Dimitri and Beyah. I can’t wait to see if Reminisce is going to end up with Karim who is an Ortega. I also think that the cops who are trying to harass Rennix is going to be dealt with in Reminisce’s book.

Caya annoyed me for a little while. Rennix made it clear what he wanted, and he was definitely about action, not just words. But overall, they were cute together.

All the siblings constantly annoying each other was actually something I liked. It felt realistic. Since there’s no indication of a book before this one, that dynamic helped build their history. I see Dimitri and Beyah have a book, but I’m not planning to read it now.

Poor Jade. They are not going to let her find love in peace.

It was decent. My biggest issue was the constant cut-off sentences. Let people finish talking. It felt overdone. I’m not sure if I’ll read Rem’s book. If I do, I’ll probably pause this author’s catalog for now and come back later. Hopefully the next ones have less of the cut-off dialogue.

Great Read

Rennix is my new MMC. 💕 The way he pursued Caya was nothing short of crazy. 🤯 He commanded her to believe in his way of thinking and moving. 🧠 No matter what old traumas they had, they were each other's peace. 🕊️ I loved the way he accepted her son Adonis as though he was his own. 👨‍👦 I feel I missed some things like: Did the dad die? 💀 How was the interaction when they first met their siblings, and what happened with the younger brother Indiri? 🤔 Will there be a story for Reminisce or Jade where we find out why those two detectives are obsessed with Rennix? 🕵️ Though this was a good read, I was just left with a lot of questions. 🤷‍♀️ Maybe I missed something. 🧐

Welp!!!! There’s that!!!

Unfortunately since Harlem, Caya didn’t do “it” for me so I am not surprised that her story was not popping for me but Rennix, man, he took all of the medals. He SURPRISED and SURPASSED all expectations (at least mine). This what made this book a perfect and solid 4 1/2⭐️ and unfortunately without a perfect FMC, the book does become flat and just dragging. I understood that the author wanted to introduce Jade, REM, Dimitri and Indiri(this one was not included that much), so I will take it, but reading the others is going to take me some time…
In any case go get some Renny in, he is worth it!
P.S. loving the update on Kinga and Harlem and the kids….🤗

Absolute Fulfillment

I love me some Rennix. I'm happy that he didn't give his pursuit of Caya up. She was a hard nut to crack because of the trauma she suffered from her baby day. But Rennix brought pressure.

He loved her through everything and he ended up being exactly what she needed. I love the dynamics of the siblings and friends. This was a great continuation of the series not a series.

I can't wait for Reminisce's story. He is truly unhinged.

Great story as always Kennedy B.

My favorite

This was probably my favorite book so far by this author. I read it from cover to cover without stopping. I loved the family dynamics of the siblings. They were serious, caring and silly everything siblings should be with each other. I found myself laughing at the banter between the brothers especially the twins. I also loved how REN loved on Caya. It was intense but cute. The only thing that could have made this story better was if it were longer and we got to see a little more of how the siblings built their bond after meeting.

Absolute Fulfillment

I loved me some Rennix, Caya and lil Adonis. Every time he put on that spider man outfit I was rolling! Rennix is a natural father who didn’t know his own family was the one thing he was missing in life! Cayla’s therapist was good til she wasn’t which meant she had done her healing now what was left was action. She definitely gave Ren all the action!! I like how she stood her ground with Skye and those detectives gotta go soon I hope! Reminisce need to come through cause I stayed laughing!!!!

Fun times

When I say friends to lovers, what I really mean is what Rennix and Caya were. Yeah, he played in her face because lord knows he wanted more than a night. He wanted forever at hello and let her think what she thought.

The way he rode with her and little man and crashed out at the drop of a dime. Claimed what was his and demanded what he wanted. I just needed one more chapter because the ending was incomplete for me.

fulfilled

This was such a beautiful story! When you think about soul mates and what you bring to each other that’s what Rennix and Caya story is it’s more than being soul mates it’s about absolute fulfillment(hence the title) to be fulfilled in every way by your person. Rennix was a man who stood on business and the way he loves Caya and Adonis was super sweet, he’s definitely step daddy of the year!

I loved everything about this story! Highly recommend!

Renny…Renny… Renny🙌🏽

Let me say… it makes no sense how I’ve homie hopped and bopped through the male characters in this world you’ve created!!! Every time you introduce a new book I go back and read the previous two or three just ‘cause… Rennie stood on business and I honestly have no complaints of how he went about handling things. I loved them together!! Now let me go get Oden’s story!!! You are a beast w/ the pen!!

Affirm Me

Hmmm, I’ve read “Absolute Fulfillment” twice. Consequently, I’ve amended my original review/rate of the book. Meanwhile, Caya & Rennix story was still boring especially compared to Harlem & Kinga. Nevertheless, I think the Author Kennedy B.’s objective was to distinguish the identities between the twins typical characteristics & showing Rennix can & has changed for the right woman/relationship in Caya. Conversely, Caya needs confidence in her selection of her new mate, reassurance & affirmed …me‼️Needy & exhausting🥴 but if Rennix likes it, I love it for him & their family 🤷🏾‍♀️‼️

Love

Renix and Cay story was beautiful. I love how Cay caught Renix's eye. Men see what they want and go after it. I love how Renix didn't back down from Cay.
He showed her that he would be there for her and her son. Renix told her that he was ten toes down and no matter what he had them. Renix grew when he fell for Cay.
His family loved her and her son.
I cant wait to read the next book

Big Mama Caya

It's something about Ms. Kennedy B writing style that has me hooked. I've been stuck in her universe all week. This book is another great example of how good she is.
Ren is the MMC, and Caya is our FMC. Ren went from the playboy to being stuck on Caya, who friendzoned him from the very beginning. She knew her worth and what she wasn't going to put up with, and he didn't know how to deal with it. He stepped his game up, though.

This is a single mom trope.

I’m loving this interconnected series. Caya & Rennix was soo cute. I also loved that Caya let him know upfront that she’s crazy fr & will go to jail or hell about hers. I would have loooved to see Caya do a hoe in but I’m also glad that Rennix allowed her to live a soft life in a sense. Rennix was a man & I loved it. Also Adonis was super cute. I love a single mama who meets a man & is like that’s my child.

Good read

The novel captivated me with its compelling narrative, particularly the nuanced relationship between Caya and Rennix. Their dynamic was especially touching, as Rennix embraced her son with genuine paternal love and unwavering commitment, transcending biological boundaries.

Rennix was not playing with his Caya. He knew he wanted her when they met in the first book but she wasn’t having it. I was proud of her for hanging on as long as she did and made it known what she expected from him from the beginning. What i liked the most in this is that both characters were already becoming better versions of themselves and just grew with each other.

Fulfilled

I absolutely loved this story. Finding love when you weren’t even looking for it is beautiful. However, feeling fulfillment in that love is godly. Kennedy B always make loving a thug feel like a love song being played on a Sunday morning….Beautiful.

Next up Reminisce. At least I hope so🤞🏾

Twin, where have you been?

I loved this story! I’m a motha!
Even with the heavy parts, there was comedic relief. Rennix was down bad for my girl from that first interaction. And Reminisce was HILARIOUS!
From the first pop up at Caya’s til that car ride to Voodoo, he was my bff. I’m glad I got to see a little more of Harlem and Kings as well! Let me get to the next book.
