My name is Sariah Stone. I'm a sister of the Seventh Seal Convent in Israel. And I'm obsessed with demons and exorcisms. I didn't expect, though, to have them obsessed with me. But perhaps it's not too shocking, given my past. My trauma. The shadows within my mind. Little do I know I'll discover so much more about those shadows of demons lurking within the minds of the possessed, uncovering so much more than just this desire they have for me. But also for what I can help these demons find. Until then, though.... I must protect myself. Before they all take over me. My clock is ticking. Time is running out. Before the darkness becomes me.... I have to find the Seal of Solomon.

What Did I Just Walk Into?
This is what happens when you take a nun with a traumatic past, give her a dangerous obsession with exorcisms, and then make the demons just as fixated on her. Sariah Stone isn’t wandering around Israel for the hummus and sunshine. She’s neck-deep in ancient artifacts, dangerous secrets, and whispers of the Seal of Solomon. Her journey isn’t just about battling evil spirits; it’s about confronting the shadowy corners of her own mind before the darkness moves in and changes the locks.
Here’s What Slapped:
The setting is perfectly marinated in biblical history and supernatural menace that felt so vivid I could practically smell the incense and hear the echoes in the convent halls.
Sariah is the kind of protagonist you root for instantly: flawed, fierce, and just reckless enough to make you bite your nails.
The way Mr. Roustan blends supernatural horror with deep psychological tension had me glued to the page like my Kindle was made of industrial-strength Velcro.
The pacing hit that sweet spot between ominous slow burn and “oh no, it’s 2 a.m. and I can’t stop reading.”
The lore? Rich. The stakes? Sky-high. And the demonic encounters? Let’s just say I wouldn’t read them alone in the dark unless you enjoy sleeping with all the lights on.
What Could’ve Been Better:
Honestly? Nothing. Unless Mr. Roustan wants to somehow invent a way for this book to last longer without ending. Or maybe send snacks with the paperback.
Perfect for Readers Who Love:
Religious horror where faith is tested as much as the body
The Exorcist, The Nun, and anything that makes you wonder if your rosary is blessed enough
I just finished the book and my god it was amazing how it went from just the exorcisms then jumps into Sariahs mind of being possessed with the different scenes especially the elevator scene of the demon looking like father Adam who essentially sexually assaults her then back to everything being normal but finding out that her mother who protected her from not only her dad but now “the” demon then lastly confirming my thought of her being the seal of Solomon. Just amazing writing as i thought at the scenes she was going through was real life but to find out it was what she was seeing while being possessed.

The writing promises a blend of supernatural horror, theological mystery, and intimate character study. Fans of The Exorcist and The Ninth Gate will find much to love here, but this tale feels wholly its own—anchored in a woman’s internal battle between faith and the forces clawing at her soul. The search for the Seal of Solomon feels both mythic and deeply human, a final hope before damnation.
If you crave a story that is equal parts sacred and profane, haunting and heartfelt, this one will leave you questioning where holiness ends and obsession begins.
Sealed By Stone is my first dive into the thriller/horror genre. I was not disappointed! I had to put this book down for a break a couple of times. My leg would not stop shaking!! The author has an amazing way with words. They flow so freely in the mind and paints a vivid picture. It truly felt like a horror movie in my head! I can't wait for the next book!
Ok so I normally don’t read horror books. I can say I was only a few pages in this book and I was already scared. This book will keep you on the edge of your seat the whole book. I highly recommend this book and get ready for the intense/ suspenseful ride but it is so worth it.
Oh my goodness! This book had me in a chokehold! For a “normal” person, this would scare so much! I am, however, not normal, but truly loved the book! So many twists and turns and a lot of things that made me yell out “No way! That just happened?!” Highly recommend this book!!
wow this book was crazy!!!! in a good way of course it is a religious horror book dealing with exorcisms and demonic possession. the way it jumps from the real world to her mind was crazy good
Most people devote their lives to a religious calling because they feel drawn to their religion, but for Sariah she was called due to darker reasons. She grew up obsessed with the darker side of religion with demons and exorcisms. So in turn what do they do, they have her go to the heart of Israel knee and neck deep in everything that in ancient and full of dark secrets. As she is forced to help battle the evil, she must keep her inner most obsessions at bay and not let them in.
I was given a copy of the book to read in exchange for an honest review.
