Righteous Damage is an erotic psychological thriller about seduction, complicity, and control. Told through the emotionally unreliable lens of a man both in love and in denial, it how far can you be manipulated before you’re culpable and what happens when the one pulling the strings vanishes?
“You protected me Josh and I loved you,” she whispered. “But love doesn’t save anyone”
This book was not like my typical reads, but I didn’t want to put it down. The psychological aspect was amazing. The beginning of this book was fast paced. Lorna has a troubled childhood, being placed in the states care and dealing with abuse. committed a crime at 21 and is under the supervision of a probation officer who is not as clean as he portrays. She seeks justice she never was granted but first she meets Josh. Lorna immediately clicks with Joshua in a counseling group She enlists him to help her “break” the façade of various people in the group by playing a “game”. What starts off as innocent quickly turns into something Josh is second guessing. Every time Josh doubts her, or asked questions Lorna uses the sexual tension she and Josh share to persuade him to her side. As Lorna spirals things get more intense leading to vengeance, justice, and heartbreak.

Thank you so much Nico for allowing me to read this early it was a pleasure.
How far will you go for what you love? What are you willing to do? Righteous Damage answers these questions and makes us walk the fine line line between love, obsession and infatuation.
That being said, there are so many different tropes in this book that make you wonder whether it’s dark erotica, suspense or a psychological thriller. This makes the book even more entertaining! You get to know the characters so well that you become invested in their lives and the story. I highly recommend this enthralling read!
Thank you to the very talented Nico Vesper for providing me an advanced copy in exchange for my honest review.
Tropes: 🔪 Violence ❤️🔥 Sex 🔫 Revenge 🩸Blood 🧠 Manipulation
I recently read “Righteous Damage,” and it was an incredible book! The plot was captivating, and the character development was remarkable, with each character having their own distinct story. I highly recommend it and would give it four stars—it was definitely worth the time and effort. You should definitely check it out; I guarantee you won’t be disappointed!
This was a very intriguing and suspenseful read full of clever psychological elements that had me wondering what the hell was going to happen next and to who!
The erotic thriller draws you into the dark web of manipulation and lies as we follow the mind games Josh and Lorna play. She scared the hell out of me tbh! Building tension towards the final confrontation was intense and lead to an interesting ending.
"Some obsessions look like love. Some desires burn like fire.” 🖤 That’s the heartbeat of Righteous Damage, an erotic psychological thriller that doesn’t just tell a story, it drags you into the shadows and dares you to stay.
From the moment Josh meets Lorna, the novel becomes a study in temptation, control, and surrender. Lorna isn’t just seductive, she’s dangerous, brilliant, and utterly unapologetic. She doesn’t play at intimacy; she weaponizes it. And Josh, perceptive but vulnerable, finds himself drawn into her game of power, lies, and obsession.
What struck me most is how the book blurs boundaries: between love and control, between desire and destruction, between pleasure and danger. Every chapter hums with tension, sexual, psychological, emotional, until you can’t tell whether you’re aroused, disturbed, or both.
Nico Vesper writes with sharp edges and velvet heat. The prose is lush and unflinching, the erotic scenes unapologetically raw yet layered with psychological depth. This isn’t just sex on the page, it’s strategy, it’s manipulation, it’s intimacy turned into war.
Righteous Damage is for readers who crave more than romance. It’s for those who want to taste obsession, to play with darkness, to feel the pull of desire that might destroy everything. It’s not safe. It’s not sweet. And that’s exactly why it’s unforgettable. 🖤
Thank you so much, Nico, for sharing Righteous Damage with me ! 🙏
Thank you very much for sending me an ARC of this new thriller novel of yours, it was definitely a unique experience for me! 🫣
This book has two main characters who can’t be more opposite than they will admit! But fate brought them together and said - you actually have more in common than you think. Lorna, a seductive vixen who knows what she wants, and will do everything, to get them, no matter what. And Josh, the good guy, who’s life changes from uninteresting, to exciting, to dangerous — all because he met a woman he can’t resist.
I’m not a big fan of smutty/spicy books, but I really like the ones that are slow and tender here. It’s just, the nsfw scenes in this book are very detailed, graphic, and verbose! So, I had a hard time to read the rough love making parts🫣. But for readers who are into it, you should definitely check this book out.
Also, it’s not just about the spice, I enjoyed the psychological thriller part of this book. Reading the first 1/3 of the book, all I think of is that Lorna is a psycho-bitch! 😳 But then I can’t help appreciate her and root for her towards the end. She’s a complex character that I’m not sure, until now, if I should hate or love her. 😏
As I’ve said, reading this book is a different kind of experience for me. I haven’t read this kind of book before. “Righteous Damage” is already out now! Get mad and get “excited” - Enjoy! 😉
Righteous Damage pulled me in right from the start. The connection between Josh and Lorna felt electric, dangerous, and I found myself torn between fascination and unease as their relationship deepened. I couldn’t stop turning the pages because I wanted to know just how far things would go, and who, if anyone, was really in control.
What I loved most was how the book takes intimacy and flips it into something sharp and unsettling. It’s provocative, raw, and sometimes a little uncomfortable, but that’s what made it so compelling for me. If you like stories that keep you guessing and push you into darker, more psychological territory, this one is absolutely worth the read.
