It was a quick one day read, enemies to lovers, with some banter, a little bit of pining, a lot of sarcasm and even more spice.

Drea and Blair’s relationship is definitely based off of there’s a fine line between hate and love. They had a lot of sexual chemistry, relationship-wise they seemed a bit incompatible for most of the book but maybe it’s part of the charm. Most of their problems could have been solved by just one conversation and that, to me, was so irritating but again, makes sense for the plot. The only slightly normal reaction to their situationship/relationship was Mackenzie’s, the rest of the secondary characters had severe reactions. Everyone is entitled to their privacy and they can share whatever they want when it pleases them, even if they’re your best friend and you tell them everything.

I’m going to go back to read Fallon and Mackenzie’s story. There are a few references in this book that I want to read.

Thank you to Elee Rose and Flying Pig PR for providing me with an eARC.

Drea owns a bookstore and is such a player after breaking up with her girlfriend two years prior, sleeping with a new woman almost every night and heavy drinking. Her friend Mackenzie is concerned and makes her promise to try stay off sex for a year. Drea makes it work for a while and substitutes the sex with training. When Drea must work with the author Blair, that she really hates, things slowly change even though they barely can tolerate each other in the beginning. The chemistry is there and that things progress unavoidable and then a lot of sex around the clock everywhere.

If you like a book with very little story, but a lot of steam this can be the book for you, it is an easy read even if a bit on the long side. I would have preferred a slower progression, more tension and an actual connection before they started fucking like bunnies. Now at time I started to wonder how they even found time to sleep, eat and work. There are some misunderstanding and a bit of a storyline in the end but unfortunately not enough of that.

I received an ARC from the author and leave a review voluntarily.

Overall Rating: 3.5 / 5.0
Spice Level: 4.0 / 5.0

This was a quick read where long-term rivals are forced to work with one another and anger turns to wanting and pinning, and the next thing you know, these two just can’t get enough of each other!

Overall, this was a good read. I was able to read it in just a few sittings, so the pacing was good overall. I think the author did a great job with introducing and helping us get to know the different characters. I think she did a great job with the worldbuilding. This is the second book in the series but the way the story was written to include the MCs from the first book and to tell us their story, made for a smooth read without having to go back and read the first book.

Now, if you are looking for an enemies-to-lovers sapphic read with lots of banter, some very funny moments, and tons of spice, this book is for you. I am a spicy romance girlie, so I really appreciated that in the book, but I just wish there was more than just sexual chemistry between Drea and Blair. Their chemistry in the bedroom was out of this world but when I started to hear them talk about loving each other I was thinking “Hold on, when did this happen?” There are moments in the story where we see Blair, who had lost her parents at a young age due to a car accident, be comforted by Drea when the rain triggers the memory of Blair’s parents’ car accident. And then we also see how, having Blair in her life, helps Drea to not be so scared to commit or love someone after her fear of doing so due to her parents’ rocky relationship and divorce. But I wish there were more of those moments in the story, where we see these two let down their walls and be more vulnerable with each other.

I would also like to note that the secondary characters Kaia and Cara were doing way too much when it came to Drea and Blair’s relationship. I mean come on, these two are adults and yeah, they should have been open and honest about their relationship from the beginning but dude, get over it. That what I wanted to say the entire time. I don’t know…Kaia and Cara were working my nerves almost the entire book.

This was my first time reading this author’s work and overall, I really liked Drea and Blair. They were kind of opposites but kind of the same. I really liked their banter, and I loved the tension and how they tried so hard to fight their feelings for each other, but there was just something missing for me in the story. I did, however, enjoy the book and would still recommend it. I will be going back to read the first book in the series, and I do want to see how Kaia’s book turns out so I will be reading more from this author.

This was such a fantastic second installment in the Sapphic in Seattle series, and I’m already counting down to the next one! Huge thanks to Elee Rose for the opportunity to read this book ahead of its release—TODAY, November 11th, 2025! Below is my review of “Right There All Along”. All thoughts are entirely my own.

This book picks up after the events of “Tell Me Not to Kiss You”, and all our favorite characters are back—but this time we’re following Drea and Blair’s story, and wow, is it a doozy. If you can recall from TMNTKY, Blair and Drea have been butting heads for ages, and now, thanks to Blair’s best friend (and publisher), they’re basically being forced to work together (again). Let the banter—and the tension 😏—commence! Will this be the final breaking point in their already rocky relationship, or will they finally be able to see eye to eye? You’ll have to read to find out!

I really enjoy Elee Rose’s writing style. It’s relaxing and gives you enough detail to become fully immersed in the story; you can almost taste, feel, and hear the world around the characters. We already got a peak into the setting of this story from TMNTKY, and I loved the familiarity mixed with new details that expand the world. The same is true for the characters: each one is written with a balance of complexity and relatability. Every interaction feels genuine and highlights the depth and warmth that make these characters so compelling.

If you’ve already read book one in this series and you’re in the mood for an enemies-to-lovers, secret-dating, sapphic, forced-proximity, spicy romance, go grab your copy of “Right There All Along” now! It’s available on Amazon and BarnesandNoble.com!!!

Huge thank you to flying pig PR and to Elee Rose for the gifted eARC in exchange for my honest and spoiler free review. I’m rating this book a 3.5 stars!

This is a steamy sapphic romance that follows the lives of Drea Voss, a girl who has been living life working in her bookstore and sleeping with a multitude of women, and Blair, a romance author, who are both forced to work together. Not only do Drea and Blair not get along, but Drea is also on a sex ban for a whole year all thanks to her best friend so her frustration cannot be easily taken care of like she normally tries to do. Without her safety net, Drea and Blair both have to decide to either work together and face their disagreements head on or let their bickering ways cause more trouble than good.

Overall, I felt like this story was a pretty decent read. I’m always on the hunt for a good sapphic or same sex romance books and when I saw this was a workplace, rivals/enemies to lovers type of sapphic romance, I was instantly intrigued. The spice was definitely spicing so you won’t be disappointed if you are a reader who enjoys a spicy little read! I felt like the struggles Blair and Drea went through between getting over their feelings of dislike towards each other as well as having to balance their career and blooming relationship were expected and I wasn’t surprised when it come to those moments in this book. Overall, I had a fun time with this one! Would I have liked a bit more plot? Yes, yes I would have but for what this story brought to the table, I enjoyed my time reading it.

I am absolutely in love with Right There All Along, the second book in the Sapphic in Seattle series by Elee Rose. This story follows bookstore owner Drea (who I’m seriously crushing on!) and author Blair, two strong and independent women who couldn’t start off more on the wrong foot, yet the attraction between them is undeniable.

The enemies-to-lovers energy in this book made for such a fun and addictive read! The banter had me laughing, the tension built beautifully, and the spice was perfectly timed…and so incredibly hot. I also loved that the story doesn’t shy away from the messy bits: the initial dislike, the resentment, and those “wait… how did I end up liking you?” feelings. It’s all there, and it’s so satisfying to watch unfold.

I was lucky enough to read this twice, first as a beta reader and again as an ARC reader, and somehow loved it even more the second time. Drea and Blair’s dynamic felt deeper and more layered on reread. As the second book in the series, it stands strong as its own love story while still expanding that larger interconnected world. I’m officially obsessed with this series and can’t wait to see what Elee Rose writes next!

The second installment of the Sapphic in Seattle series.
This time we got to hang out more with Drea, but I LOVED still getting random appearances from Mackenzie and Fallon from the first book.
Drea is hot headed and horny, to put it simply. So it makes sense that she would fall into a situationship in this hot Enemies to Lovers bookstore secret romance. Honestly it checks so many good boxes. I felt like there were minor miscommunication issues at times, and some personal preferences, so I have no negative marks because of them. However, there were some random background details that didn't seem to add up.. But it you care more about the steamy adventure then they won't matter! All of the drama, smut, and the intense final chapters.. Well done. Even if I wanted to slap characters at times. The friendships in Sapphic in Seattle are so close and personally invested in each other in the best and worst ways. Can't wait to read more of their stories!

For the first third of the book, I couldn’t get past my annoyance with Drea. She was insufferable, rude for no apparent reason, and even unprofessional at times. She got on my nerves most of the time. Maybe my opinion of her would be different if I had read the first book. Who knows? By the end of the book, my opinion of her was slightly more positive, but she still wasn’t that high in my esteem.
Now, I don’t have to like every character to enjoy a book, but sometimes it does affect my appreciation for the story. Blair was easier to like, and I was overjoyed when she gave Drea a taste of her own medicine.

As people say, the line between love and hate is thin. This perfectly describes Drea and Blair’s relationship. Keeping their involvement secret made sense, so did the third-act breakup.

I love my books spicy, and Right There All Along delivered. I would have enjoyed a bit more of on-screen non-sexual interactions once they got past their strong dislike for each other, but it was still enjoyable.

I’ll look forward to reading Kaia’s story based on what we got in this book.

4.5⭐️ I could hardly put this one down! After reading and listening to Tell Me Not to Kiss You, I was so excited to read Drea’s story!

Drea and Blair have a not so great history from a bunch of book signings over the years. Their banter is great for us readers, not so great for the side characters in the story that have to deal with them! There’s a fine line between hate and love and crossing that line can be explosive!

I very much enjoyed the return of previous characters and getting immersed in all things Drea. The teasers for the next book, both in this story and as a sneak peek, has me cheerily awaiting Kaia and Daisy’s much more in depth story! Having a deaf spouse has me intrigued to fully meet Daisy.

Recommend!!

This was sooooo good! I loved Drea in Tell Me Not To Kiss You and I loved her even more in this. The tension between Drea and Blair was to die for. This was my kind of enemies to lovers for sure.

What do you do when you own a book store and are forced by your good friend into working with the one author you can't stand? You sleep with her of course 😏

This was fantastic. It was full of tension. It gave just the right amount of spice as to not take away from the storyline. And the side characters were so much fun in this too.

Another home run from Elee Rose for me! If you haven't read either of these books, you absolutely should!

I love drea! In book one of Sapphic in Seattle, she is light hearted and funny. However, in her own love story. You see her change into something.more. No spoilers. It had me laughing, crying, and heartbroken.
