Hurmaavan Suklaaseuran naiset -sarjan kupliva loppuhuipennus.

It was so nice to reunite with the Chocolate Lovers' Club so quickly after The Chocolate Lovers' Christmas. I was able to easily remember where everything left off and pick up from that point with the women who seem like friends I'd have in real life. There were a lot of things I did not expect to happen this time around and it kept me on my toes. Some were great things and others were not so great, but the women had each other to lean on and that was the most important of all. I really hope that Carole Matthews continues this series. I could never tire of reading about chocolate and all of the new adventures in store for Lucy, Chantal, Autumn, and Nadia. There's definitely stuff to work with for a next book...and a next...and one after that. Until then, be sure to read all the books in this series because they're as delectable as the chocolate these women consume.
A must read book. 5/5 perfect for fans of the chocolate lovers club books or a fan of Carole Matthews. Loved every moment of it. Emerge yourself in this amazing book.
I don't even know where to start with quite how wonderful I found this book. I will start by saying that I cried at the end of this book as it seemed like such a wonderful book to end the Chocolate lovers wedding on. I have read and fell in love with the series of books time and time again and it is so lovely that it ends on such a beautiful note. Over the year the girls from the chocolate lovers club have become friends and I have rooted for them, cried with them, laughed with them and most importantly ate chocolate with them along the way. I am still gushing over how much I loved this book.
At the start of the book the girls are getting ready for the wedding of Lucy and Crush finally they are getting the happy ever after that they so desperately deserve. But as always life and complications get in the way.
Lucy is working in a dead end job that she hates with a passion dreaming of being back at Chocolate Heaven only problem is Marcus the sleaze ball owns it and everyone is telling Lucy not to go back. After Marcus won't leave Lucy alone and keeps coming into her life when he really needs to back the hell off. Lucy decides to go and talk to him and tell him where to go. But as always things don't go quite to plan. Walking away from her job in the middle of the day without telling anyone where she is going results in Lucy getting fired. Leaving her once again at the mercy of Marcus and his conniving ways. What will happen? Will Crush and Lucy get married? Will Lucy go back the Chocolate heaven? What about the dynamics of her relationship with Marcus? What devious schemes can Marcus think up next?
Nadia has found the second love of her life. A wonderful man who treats her right and wants to give her the world. The only trouble is he lives in the Lake District. Will Nadia be able to give her happiness a chance? Will she uproot their lives and move to the Lake District? Can Nadia leave the girls behind? This into the mix Nadia getting mugged and beaten up on the streets of London and her parents wanting to come back into her life albeit begrudgingly. Nadias life just goes from heart wrecking and life changing to more events and troubles that she needs to contend with. With everything work out in the end for her?
Autumn had finally been reconciled with her daughter that she had to put up for adoption at a really young age. Has moved in with a wonderful new man called Miles and his three year old daughter Flo. Not to mention a heart to heart with her parents that was needed an extremely long time ago and a clearing of feelings and long oppresses regrets also still getting over the death of her brother and trying to find her place in the world and what she would really love to do as a job. Autumn has a lot of things to deal with and think about in this book. Will Autumns reconciliation with her daughter go well? Will they be able to bridge the gap caused over years? Will Autumn be able to tell her parents the truth about things? And will they be able to patch up things that have needed discussing for a long time? Will Autumn get her happy every after?
Chantal is loving life as a mother. Loving spending every moment with beautiful baby Lana and has taken to it all like a duck to water. Jacob and Chantal are living together and there love story seems to be going from strength to strength. Jacob has now a lovely respectable job as an events coordinator. Ted had moved to New York for a two year contract with his job, new partner and baby but is missing out on seeing Lana grow up. Everything seems to be going fine until Chantal gets a health scare that changes everything. Will Chantal be ok? Will Chantal and Ted get divorced? Will Jacob and Chantal get their happily ever after? Will everything turn out ok in the end?
Carole Matthews as always deals with the pressures of life and health and love in a beautiful magic way. Touching, truthful, honest and believe able. Taking delicate issues and presenting them to us in a way that touches our hearts and makes us fall in love with the chocolate lovers club even more than before if that was at all possible.
I found this book magical. It is truly a tale of friendship and romance. As soon as I opened the first pages of this book I know that I was going to love it. I escaped into this book like all the others completely and was extremely gutted that work, sleep and life had to interrupt my reading pleasure. This book is simply brilliant and although I think that it is a fitting Wh to end this amazing series. I hope there is more books to come. There is nothing more exciting then catching up with old friends.
I have read all Carol Matthews books, and I loved every single one of them. Carol Matthews is my all time favourite author. I absolutely adore her feel good stories laced with friendships, love, beautiful scenery and also some serious issues that just come with everyday life.
The Chocolate Lover's Wedding is the fourth book in the Chocolate Lover's series, and it just gets better and better. When I read this book, I felt like I have known the girls all my life and I was torn between finishing this book and keeping it going for as long as I could. I savoured every page and couldn't get enough of reading about Lucy Lombard's excellently cunning plans!
I am not sure if Carol Matthews is planning on writing another Chocolate Lover's book, but I would say this one has a pretty spectacular ending. As it goes in life friends make new plans or move away, families grow, and life gets busier, but real friendship withstands all kinds of turmoils or distances in The Chocolate Lover's Club.
Lucy, Chantal, Autumn and Nadia have been friends for a very long time! They are there to support one another, offer a shoulder to cry on and solve any life problems with a cup of coffee and a healthy dose of mouth-watering chocolate.
And the girls seem to find love FINALLY, so all is well in the Chocolate Lover's Club!
The Chocolate Lover's Wedding has the great essence of a fabulous woman fiction. There is love, a bit of heartbreak, friendships that will go a long way and a bit of shocking news but it is all mix well with a "Matthews atmospheric writing style" that always seem to make me smile and cry at the same time! A pure reading gold.
This week I am also sampling Carol's brand new delight Paper Hearts and Summer Kisses!
When you have people around you who love the things that you too love, that is great. For me, I'm always happy when there is someone that loves books as same as me ( of course because we can share books and ideas ) I found this book in a shelf of someone I love so much. That's not the story; Lucy, Chantal, Nadia and Autumn are such women who have the same desire for CHOCOLATES. But anyone of them do not have lives as sweet as. Lucy is facing financial problems for her soon to be held wedding, and of course her ex-fiance problems; Autumn is dealing with her teenage daughter who she had given away for adoption ( not intentionally ) fourteen years ago; Chantal who is soon to be divocee and unexpectedly happen to be found out she is suffering from cancer; Nadia who have to travel three long hours just to find true love. Despite of their own struggles four of them find time for each other. Most importantly they have themselves ( and of course chocolates ) But will they find courage to go through all the unexpected suprises that life has planned for them? ( "never underestimate the restorative powers of chocalate" ) Fellow readers, read it and see😘
I just love this book, love the style, love the flow and love every bit of it. I haven't found the other books of the series yet. But I'm looking forward to read them.
I had been looking forward to this one but sadly this was my least favourite mainly due to one of the characters having something I dont like reading about. Still the story was all wrapped up the way I thought so it was quite predictable.
This was a nice ending to the Chocolate Lovers' Club series, even though I am sad to see it go. I am hopeful that the author will write more. I know that the Chocolate Lovers' Club members have more tales to tell!!
Really not great at all. Sadly, I thought it was terribly boring, I actually found the characters rather annoying.... certainly too annoying to be invested in or care about.
I would like to give 4 stars for the storyline and 1 star for the audio quality. I have had a membership deal with Audible for the last 2 years and this is the first audio book that has been so badly produced. On a least 4 chapters it cut off mid- sentence and started a new chapter. On chapters 61 & 62 were 1 minute 30 seconds long and 30 seconds. If you are a Chocolate Lovers fan I suggest you buy this on E- book or print.
Apart from this I enjoyed The Chocolate Lovers wedding. Lucy Lombard is finally due to go down the aisle with Crush. However Chantel now separated from her husband starts to feel unwell. After Nadia is attacked she thinks of moving to The Lake District to be with James.
SPOILER - I have a close relative who may have cancer, I do not think this is a matter for entertainment no matter how informative.
I loved being able to pick this book straight after the Christmas book. It picks up the story with Lucy and Aiden planning their wedding- will life get in the way? I loved all the wedding details and the planning aspect and could imagine being there with the group of friends. The story is not all light and frothy and takes an unexpected avenue for me. It's lovely to see all the relationships developing and the way the friends support each other. Lucy is not working at Chocolate Heaven as the book starts and they are all missing their wonderful cafe and are having to work through a number of disappointing coffee houses. With many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the chance to read this lovely book.
I adore The Chocolate Lovers'... series, the gang are like my old friends whose stories take you on a journey through life. As usual, I absolutely loved the book. All the characters are likeable and I love how as each book progresses, we get to see individual stories unfold.
This book took me longer than usual to finish as I was in the midst of essay writing for uni, so this lovely book was a very welcome distraction.
An absolute gem of a book, with brilliant characters and heart-warming writing, as usual.
I would highly recommend this book - long may The Chocolate Lovers' continue...
By chapter 2 I was deciding whether or not to go any further as I was already irritated by the main character Lucy. She describes her fiancè as her 'Crush' & then refers to him as that through the whole book. Why? Is she 12 and writing in her diary? He has a name,Aiden, so just use it FGS! All the characters were predictable & what happened to them. Quite boring.
A fabulous, easy read. I love the way that Carole Matthews weaves sensitive subjects into her stories, how she writes about them compassionately but still maintains humour without trivialising them. This was, in my opinion, the best of the 'Chocolate Lovers Series' so far.
If you’ve been following the exploits of the Chocolate Lovers Club you’ll have been waiting with bated breath for this the fourth book in their series. Picking up pretty much where the Chocolate Lovers’ Christmas finished up our intrepid friends are moving on with their lives.
Lucy is trying to plan her wedding on a budget and that budget gets stretched tighter when she loses her much hated temping job. With bills to pay and a wedding dress to pay for, she needs to make some hard decisions.
Nadia is still in touch with lovely farmer James who she met on their Christmas trip to the Lake District. They are getting on well just talking by phone but when he starts pushing her for a little more she has to consider whether she can uproot her son and leave the city where she has lived her whole life.
Autumn was contacted by the daughter that she gave up for adoption at the end of the last book. Forging new relationships is never easy and when that person is a fourteen year old girl it adds hormones and guilt into an already heady mix. Can she overcome her own insecurities and family issues to create a bond with the fragile Willow?
Chantal is just finalising her divorce from Ted and settling down to life with baby Lana and Jacob. Just as she thinks that things are starting to improve she gets the kind of news that could put an end to all her plans.
There is something so warm and comfy about these books – although they should definitely come with a health warning. When you are on a diet it isn’t the easiest read as they are always tucking into slabs of chocolate cake and gorgeous chocolate truffles. I’ll just sit and munch on a celery stick while I read it!
It is another wonderful tale with a few twists and turns and a surprise wedding. Switch off the phone. Curl up in your favourite armchair and get lost in the warm friendly embrace of the Chocolate Lovers.

Fantastic as usual and what an ending. Carole Matthews books keeps you entertained until the end. I felt quite tearful in the sad parts but then she brightens things up again with some brilliant surprises in store. I didn't want the book to finish and I hope there will be another round of the Chocolate Lovers club very soon. And before I finish its impossible to read without a bar of galaxy. So much for my not eating chocolate until easter.
Another great book by Carole Matthews, really enjoyed reading The Chocolate Lovers Wedding. Many thanks to Netgallery and the publishers in allowing the ARC, great storyline and characters that I just throughly enjoyed.
This book was adorable! How have I not discovered this series sooner?? This was my first book of this series and despite that, I felt caught up on the characters' back stories. Highly recommended when you want a great book about love and female friendships.
A really nice read, I hope we get to catch up with these characters again in 5-10 years time, as it would be nice to see them all married, maybe with families, and how their friendship continues.
I enjoyed this a lot, much more than I thought I would. The Chocolate Lovers Wedding is centred around a group of friends who are chocoholics: Lucy, Nadia, Autumn and Chantal. Each woman has her own stuff she is going through and have relationship and family challenges. I came into this storyeading number 4 in this series (this is quite typical of me LOL) so am being tossed into these womens lives. I need to know their backstories to get a better sense of who they are and how their lives have unfolded thus far. Carole Matthews is a new author to me and her writing style reminds me a bit of Helen Fielding author of Bridget Jones Diary, particularly the humour. This book had me laughing out loud during the first two paragraphs. There is that humour sprinkled throughout the novel, just enough. It is not all laughs, there are tough times in this book too. It was a light enjoyable read, a perfect selection for when you have read too many serious books in a row: like me who reads a lot of WWII historical novels and a few mysteries. Those can get pretty heavy. I will be reading more by Ms. Matthews. Got to love a book that can make me laugh:)

Carole Matthews' books never fail to entertain me. They are like a comfort blanket - you can be sure that when you reach for them you'll feel warm, comfortable and understood. Ms Matthews is a great storyteller, she creates larger than life characters and brings all the places and settings to life. She has such a way of writing her characters that they feel realistic and often I found myself smiling with them or laughing with them, but first of all I was rooting for them, and this is why I was so impatiently waiting for "The Chocolate Lovers' Wedding" to be published!
It was really lovely to see the girls from the Chocolate Lovers' Club again, and I didn't have any problems to get into the story immediately, to pick up where we left the friends off in the last book. Quickly, we learn there are some really big decisions to be made, and there are life - changing events to come. And this time Ms Matthews really added a lot of events to the story - there was all the time something happening and she effectively and successfully kept me on my toes. She also threw some surprises on our poor, not expecting it heads, and it was really great not to be able to see what's coming next. One of the biggest surprises was the fact that Lucy was not longer working in Chocolate Heaven because I thought no matter what (ie.: Marcus) she's going to stay there, and now she's so miserable and she misses her shop that's going belly up with the new French manager. Lucy, as usually, was the cause of many, many embarrassing situations, of many, many unsuitable plans, but also Lucy rose to the challenge more than once in this story. Sure, you can never be sure with Lucy - is Marcus going to persuade her to come back to Chocolate Heaven? What would Crush say? Will Crush and Lucy get married or are there some unexpected things going to happen? The we have Nadia, the lovely Nadia whose life isn't bed of roses and who is going to be forced to make some very life - changing decisions after she's been mugged on the street. But after years of living alone, after her past, she still can't open herself totally to new chances, to find out that there might be a man who truly loves her - on the other hand, is Nadia ready to live her old life behind, to leave her friends and sister and move far away? There is so much warmth in Nadia, just like in all the girls, but I don't know, there is something so very special in this woman that made me root for her. There are also changes in Autumn's life. She is in a happy relationship but there are two great burdens that overweigh her - the situation with her parents and the daughter that she was forced to give up for adoption years ago. She's living in hope that they'll meet one day - will they? And what happens when they meet? Autumn is a person with a heart made of gold and she wants only good things to happen to their friends and beloved, but she's not boring in all this, no way! What I so adored in her was the fact that she eventually came out of her comfort zones and wasn't afraid of confrontations, she just seemed a little more brave and determined and it suited her very much.
This time life is also testing our Chantal. She eventually came to terms with the fact that she's now a single mum, especially as there is Jacob and their relationship is going from strength to strength and well, yes, it seems that finally peace set in. That is, until she gets a health scare... a very serious health scare. What now? What with Lana, her new life, Jacob...? Will she find her happily ever after at last?
I don't know why but I had a feeling that this book is so very genuine and honest, so much more true and serious about feelings and life experience, but of course written with a lot of humour. The author has brilliantly mixed the very important, serious issues with lightness and fun and it worked out really great. This story just felt so touching and believable, as really all the things could happen to any of us, and it was written in a way that pulled at all the right heartstrings. Moreover, the author has done a brilliant job with dealing with such things as cancer or adoption and was able to put into words the most hidden feelings that people feel when they have to deal with these issues, and she did it with a lot of understanding and gentleness.
Life changes but the only constant thing in the girls' lives is there: chocolate :) But also, and I personally find it one of the loveliest things in the book, the overwhelming feeling of friendship and acceptance is always there. The girls can count on each other, they support each other in all situations and there were really very touching moments in this story - and they are there to support the others even if life is not only laughs and fun but also health and money troubles and when some serious decisions have to be made.
There is still so much potential in the girls, there can still happen so much and I really hope that Carole Matthews won't stop writing about the Chocolate Lovers' Club, and I'm saying it not only because I LOVE chocolate! Yes, the author has answered a lot of questions and nicely wrapped up some of the open ends but nevertheless, I still feel there is a space for more!!!
What I so liked in this book is that it's so realistic. It is not always a bed of roses for our girls, they have problems and sometimes these are really big problems, and even though it is supposed to be a rom com, the author isn't afraid to throw a curveball for our heroines, to put them at crossroads, to make their lives complicated and not so easy and straightforward. I don't want the characters that I like to suffer but in my eyes these things make them feel more realistic and bring them even more to life. "The Chocolate Lovers' Wedding" is truly a great story with a heart and I can't recommend it enough!

These have been by go to cosy reads for ever now and I’ve managed to eek them out so I didn’t finish the series too early! Savoured them like a fine wine, or an especially delectable chocolate you might find in Chocolate Heaven. It’s my soul escape!
The gaggle of women are easily compelling in their lives and dramas. Autumn, Nadia, Chantal and of course, our mad and accident prone Lucy, have come to be characters I’m invested in. It’s been so nice to see their developments and storylines develop into such strong friendships and happy relationships.
It’s a fun read and I’ve saved the last until now - it’s time to finish the series! I enjoyed it and glad I read these and spaced them out. Cosy, filled with friendships and chocolate, it was feel good and a great way to end a throughly enjoyable series. I totally didn’t cry or anything at the end of this book… nope.
And I’m forever secretly hoping the author will pick up these characters and return to the series after a time because I’m still not ready to leave these girls. I want to know what they’re getting up to!
