Alfredo Jose de Arana-Marini Coppel was an American author. He served as a fighter pilot in the United States Army Air Forces during World War II. After his discharge, he started his career as a writer. He became one of the most prolific pulp authors of the 1950s and 1960s, adopting the pseudonyms Robert Cham Gilman and A.C. Marin and writing for a variety of pulp magazines and later "slick" publishers. Though writing in a variety of genres, including action thrillers, he is known for his science fiction stories which comprise both short stories and novels.

Well that was a bummer ! Not about an "actual" dragon, but about a nuclear device -_-
Could have been more interesting if it would have been a lot less political... it felt so slow at times, even in part Four when the heat turned up, there still were too many dialogues.
Sorry to say: but one of the least interesting, more slowly paced books I've ever read :(

It is not about the mythical creature but about a nuke. I can say it was interesting and it had kept me reading it in spite of my aversion to political themes. It opened my eyes to the possible threats to security and the decisions and sacrifices that our national leaders can make for the sake of some and at the expense of others.
