MY FELLOW BLANE/KADE LOVERS!!!! Not only is one of our favorite authors, Tiffany Snow, donating this story to a wonderful cause (along with some other amazing RS authors), but after nearly a year after the end of the Kathleen Turner series, we finally get some more of our favorite brothers. And even though Kathleen doesn't make an appearance, I actually loved getting some of the dynamic between just the two of them. This story takes place pre-Kathleen.
"You are hereby banned from the MGM Grand. Your names and photos are on record. Should you show your faces here again, you will be escorted from the premises, in a very unpleasant way."
"Room service sucked anyway."
Blane shot his brother a look at the comment, but Kade looked unrepentant..."
Remember how Kade and Blane mention being kicked out of the Vegas hotel/casino? Ever wonder what in the world they did that merited that action? Of course you did...and now you get your answer.
"Holy shit," Kade breathed. "It's like we're in that movie."
"What movie?"
"You know. The one where they wake up in Vegas and all this shit happened to them, but they don't remember any of it."
Aside from having some awesome hero moments for both Blane and Kade, this book was freaking hilarious. Kade's complete irreverence for...well, basically everything...and Blane's natural uptight, by-the-book nature are the perfect blend of opposites for some slapstick comedy moments.
"It was one of the few times in his life that Blane was left speechless. His first reaction to an unexpected stranger in the room was to reach for his Glock. Unfortunately, he didn't have it. He hadn't thought he needed to bring a gun on a weekend trip to Vegas with Kade, though those last two words should've warned him."
And ooooohhhh, those hero moments...Le Sigh!!!!
"There was another shot from his right and Kade ducked. One against two? that wasn't very fair to them."
There's a reason fans fell hard for these two. There's a reason they will forever be at the top of my all time favorite heroes shelf. They are honorable, they are chivalrous, they are sexy as hell. And they prove it again in "Turn the Tables" by doing what they do best. Ahem...mind out of the gutter! Okay, the thing they do second best, you hussies! But seriously, as opposite as Blane and Kade seem on the outside, we all know how similar they are when it comes to the things that matter. And nothing stops them when they join forces to right a wrong.
All right...enough gushing. I do plan on reading the rest of the stories when the book is released, but it's worth the buy just for Tiffany Snow's slice of the pie. A definite five star read!!

I could not have been more excited to get more of Blane and Kade. My two favorite brothers. I don't care if they're fictional. And with the Kathleen Turner series being over, I'll take what I can get.
This story is all about why Blane and Kade are banned from the MGM Grand Hotel. What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, right? Or so they say.
Taking place before Kathleen is ever in the picture, Kade convinces Blane that they need a trip to Vegas. A night with a couple of girls turns into a lot more trouble than was expected. The brothers' adventure includes gambling, drinks, a wedding chapel, and blowing shit up.
What I liked the most about this story was the fact that the reader will gain some insight into how the brothers could be fun and do stupid things. They weren't all serious and broody. But while getting lost in the fun, they did remain the Blane and Kade that we got to know when Kat appeared. Kade was his usual sarcastic and bad ass self. Blane put others before himself as he was known to do. I laughed a lot, even though some of what happened in Vegas seemed to be unbelievable. Those parts are why it was not a five star read for me.
Throughout the entire story, I was reminded that the brothers would stop at nothing to put the other ahead of his own needs. Tiffany inserted those reminders throughout at just the right moments to make my heart beat a little bit faster and also remind me how much I loved reading about these two.
Fans of Blane and Kade MUST pick up this anthology. They will not be disappointed in this part of their lives.

It's here at last! This is the prequel all fans of The Kathleen Turner Series have been waiting for... The long awaited brotherly bonding trip to Las Vegas, where Blane and Kade somehow manage to get themselves a lifetime ban from the MGM Grand hotel.
I love both the previous companion novels; Blane's Turn and Kade's Turn because we get to learn and understand the dynamics between Blane and Kade in the early stages of their relationship. I've always enjoyed their interactions and Turn the Tables gives us a glimpse of how they relate to each other as adults...before their lives became even more entwined and complicated.
The trust, respect and admiration for each other is ever present between Blane and Kade as we see them in a more relaxed setting...almost! Nothing is ever as it's intended to be and their break in sin city is a shining example of always expect the unexpected!
This novella is highly entertaining and laugh out loud funny. The plot is without a doubt completely over the top, but at the same time so very fitting considering it's set in Las Vegas. The time-line is short and the pace is lightning fast but not overwhelmingly so. Ms Snow crams a lot into the pages of this novella, but everything melds together perfectly.
Their escapade is supported by a colourful supporting cast of characters, complimented by the usual quick witted banter we associate from the protagonists. There are a few surprises along the way but I'm not to give anything away with regards to the plot. All I will say is that anyone who loves Blane and Kade will want to read this light-hearted and fun caper.

4.5 Stars. An excellent short read! I read this in fits and starts on my phone, but it was still a great story. Vintage Eden with the hot couple and diabolical serial killer aspect...what's not to love?! It was amazing how much backstory and and how many twists the author managed to pack into a short read without tedium. As always with Eden, the intimacy between the couple was well done. It was an interesting enough premise that it could have been full length.

This review is strictly for Turn The Tables. This book made remember why I loved Tiffany Snow's writing. If you were a fan of the Kathleen Turner Series, this is a must read. Seeing Kade & Blane interact pre-Kat was everything I thought it would be and more.

I really enjoyed reading these stories and it was well worth my time and what I paid and I do hope that we find a cure for diabetes. Overall I gave this a 4, but individual ratings are below:
4.00 Stars Allison Brennan Liked Alex, tough cop that was determined to do the right thing. I hope we see her again in another story down the road. Alex and DA Matt make a powerful couple.
2.00 Stars Cynthia Eden, I liked CE, but at times her writing just doesn't work for me and this was one of those times.
3.50 Stars JT Ellison NTM Author, this was actually a 80K prequel to JTE’s successful Taylor Alexander mystery suspense series. This was the book that she tried to sell, but ended up publishing All the Pretty Girls instead and this book got mothballed. I liked it, because it showed me where Taylor Jackson and John Baldwin came from. I had a few procedural issues with the book, but JT said that she left that in to show her growth. I had a huge moral issue with what John had done. You don’t brush that off and move on to the next case. I still liked it enough that I am going to pick up ATPGs and see how I like it. There is a romance between Taylor and John, but it is for the most part off screen besides some kissing. The romantic in me is reserving judgment until I read the next one.
2.5 Starts Heather Graham, Cafferty and Quinn – Killer Nun Zombies take over Florida…what is not to love??? It turned out to read like a D grade movie with lots of gratuitous violence, screaming and lotsa blood. Still love Cafferty and Quinn, just didn’t love this short as much as I wanted to.
4.0 Stars, Brenda Novak, Hanover house in Hilltop Alaska, a place for the worst of the worst serial killers go to get their brains picked. This is a wordy prequel to BN’s new Hanover House series. Officer Anarack (he was sweet as pie and I wanted to eat his little self up.) and Evelyn make a cute couple, and what makes it even yummier is he is younger than she is. But her having been attacked when she was 17 and suffered 3 days of abuse from Jasper the serial killer retarded her growth in that area. It was a good start to the series and I am looking forward to the first book.
4.0 Stars, Liliana Hart, NTM author; This is a honeymoon sequel for Jaye and Jack (J.J. Graves mysteries), never read the series, but I loved the snarky interaction between J & J that I intend to go pick up the series. J & J are a secluded island enjoying the perks of being on a honeymoon, when they are brought into a murder of a 99 year old man. She is a coroner and he is a sheriff, so they have the skills to do the job, where the local police of one man don’t. Don’t know that I wouldn’t have done the same and that is all I have to say about that.
3.5 Stars Alex Kava I had read the first book in the Maggie O’dell series long time ago and found the character extremely depressing, to the point that I didn’t pick up the 2nd book in the series. This is a prequel to the series. It was ok, but it doesn’t change my feelings about the character.
4.0 C. J. Lyons I love Lucy Guardino, but have only read the first one, Snake Skin and I need to get busy on the rest of the series, because I really like the character. This story takes place several years into Lucy’s career, but I didn’t feel lost and could identify the issues she was having with her teenage daughter…oh boy could I identify.
3.0 Carla Neggers NTM Author , this short was a sequel to another series. These set of twins was kidnapped when they were 18 and this is the story of some emotional fall out from that experience. Maggie got on my nerves, but it was an ok read.
5.0 Theresa Ragan NTM Author, this so far was the standout read of the anthology. Where we have a man wrong accused of murder and his determination to clear his name. Now admittedly it was a bit of an eye-rolling troupe to get our h/h together, but it was cute and I enjoyed it.
2.75 Erica Spindler NTM author, (this is a prequel to a new series, I think.) I would have liked this story better if I had known what our main character looked like. I knew what everybody else looked like, but Dani was a shadow figure in my head.
4.0 Jo Robertson NTM author, this one was a good one where a woman working in a bad place becomes the target of an evil man. She finds a safe harbor with a good looking parole officer, but can they stay alive long enough to get to the ILYs. This did end in a bit of a cliff hanger, because there will be a sequel.
4.0 Tiffany Snow NTM author, I loved reading about Blaine and Kade in this fun read. (Think of this as a Bernie does Las Vegas, it was laugh out loud funny when the guys woke up after their night of debauchery and Kade was handcuffed to the midget…too funny!) However, I won’t be picking up their series with Kathleen, because I hate 3 way love triangles with a passion and to go through 5 books of it just isn’t in me. I know who gets the girl, I am good. Now if TS were to write a book on the brother who lost out an HEA, then that I might pick up.
I love that I have picked up some new authors to delve into and series to pursue, because I was running out of authors to read. (eye-roll at the lie I just told.)

2.75 Erica Spindler NTM author, (this is a prequel to a new series, I think.) I would have liked this story better if I had known what our main character looked like. I knew what everybody else looked like, but Dani was a shadow figure in my head.
4.0 Jo Robertson NTM author, this one was a good one where a woman working in a bad place becomes the target of an evil man. She finds a safe harbor with a good looking parole officer, but can they stay alive long enough to get to the ILYs. This did end in a bit of a cliff hanger, because there will be a sequel.
4.0 Tiffany Snow NTM author, I loved reading about Blaine and Kade in this fun read. (Think of this as a Bernie does Las Vegas, it was laugh out loud funny when the guys woke up after their night of debauchery and Kade was handcuffed to the midget…too funny!) However, I won’t be picking up their series with Kathleen, because I hate 3 way love triangles with a passion and to go through 5 books of it just isn’t in me. I know who gets the girl, I am good. Now if TS were to write a book on the brother who lost out an HEA, then that I might pick up.
I love that I have picked up some new authors to delve into and series to pursue, because I was running out of authors to read. (eye-roll at the lie I just told.)

The suspense in each story is great and with all the different stories readers are sure to find one that is right up their alley. The stories keep the suspense racketed up until the very last page of each one. Some of the stories takes some twists that will keep readers guessing until the very end. There are some novellas and some of the stories are more novel length but with so much to choose from it makes for some great reading. It can also be read a little at a time or all together. This proves to have some great stories that reader will get lost in and keep reading until the early hours of the morning.

Good things come in small packages. Or, I should say great things! This novella is a gift to fans of Tiffany's Kathleen Turner series. The story reminds you of why you loved the KT series in the first place. Tiffany has such a keen sense of humor and she shows it here in this trip to Las Vegas. One of the major selling points for me was the fact that Kathleen did not appear in this novella. Don't get me wrong, I love Kathleen, but I love getting to see these brothers before she came along and complicated things.
I have always loved the scenes we got in the books of Kade and Blane interacting in their own. The brothers have been through hell and back, but they always had each other. They are family and that brotherhood is what sells blame on going along for a brother bonding trip to Las Vegas with his younger brother. Blane knows something else has to be afoot, but he goes along anyway, though he has a feeling this innocent trip will be anything but.
My two feet are firmly planted in the Blane camp, and I loved that the majority of this novella is told from his POV. I also loved the parts from Kade's POV where you see inside his head and see how much he admires and loves his brother.
I don't want to spoil anything, but this is one of the funniest stories I've ever read. Yes, it's over the top, but that's what makes it fantastic.

I am reviewing Turn the Tables by Tiffany Snow, which is a novella, in the Sweet Dreams Boxed Set.
Kade, Blane, Vegas, a goose named Duck Duck, a little person, handcuffs, a pregnant bride, a wedding band, and memorable one liners all add up to a fun filled, action packed read by Tiffany Snow. I laughed hysterically, cried passionately when Blane showed the depth of his tenderness and caring and saw through Kade's rough, tough, I don't give a carp facade. I could read about Blane and Kade for the rest of my life and I never want a book by Tiffany Snow to end. Thank you again, Ms Snow, for giving readers more Kade and Blane. They will reign forever as the ultimate book boyfriends!

Having just read all the Maggie O'Dell books this one threw me at first. I didn't expect this short to be set before the first book. Maggie gets to go to her first crime scene and is very green in more than one way. It's interesting to see how many things from this one are dealt with in the next book.

Sweet Dreams Boxed Set – 3.5 stars
I’ve never read anything by most of these authors, and usually when I get sets like this I read the stories I’m interested in and then stop, but I decided to give this one a try since most of the stories sound promising. Maybe I’ll find some new authors to follow.
Aim to Kill by Allison Brennan – 4 stars
I wasn’t a big fan of all of the politics in this story. I was hoping for a little more action than there was. Overall, though, the story was entertaining and engaging. I would be interested in reading the stories of the secondary characters in this book, whose stories have obviously already been told. The heroine was a little defensive and antagonistic, which got on my nerves, but only occasionally and I liked her pretty well despite those flaws.
Until Death by Cynthia Eden – 5 stars
I really enjoyed this story. Cynthia Eden’s contribution was the main reason I was drawn to this collection. I read all of her stories and I knew I wouldn’t want to miss this one. As always, a dark, thrilling romance with an alpha male and a strong female. Reunited lovers drawn together again by murder. A great read.

This was my first book by this author and, after doing some research into the rest of the series, it’s definitely going to be my last. It’s a prequel to the Taylor Jackson series and I was coming into it with no information whatsoever. The story itself was interesting enough. It was similar to many other police procedurals with a little romance thrown in. I liked the banter between the characters, even if it was lighter than you’d expect. Major **SPOILERS** but what I did not like one bit is that we were able to fall in love with Sam and Simon, see them get engaged after spending years together despite Sam’s fear of commitment and thanks to Simon’s endless and adorable patience, and then I learned that Simon and their two children are killed later in the series. That’s just not the type of thing I want to read – getting a happily ever after and then having it snatched away like that.

Just not my kind of book. I couldn’t get into it, really, and I didn’t like who turned out to be the villain. Also, the synopsis said it was the eve of the main couple’s wedding? There was no mention of that in the story. It was made to sound very dramatic and the story just really wasn’t that for me.

I get that it’s a prequel to set up the rest of a new series, but that’s just mean. Also, just a formatting note, I didn’t care for all of the underlining. Not a page went by without at least one word underlined and it got old real fast.

This book seemed pretty typical of police thrillers, nothing really to make it stand out other than a killer stalking the killer, taunting him along the way. I guess it’s a prequel to a series I haven’t read (I’ve never read anything by this author) but it doesn’t make me want to buy or read the rest of the series. Maybe it’s one of those for-the-readers stories that you won’t appreciate unless you already have some knowledge of the characters and overall story. I didn’t like that the main character didn’t have a husband she could lean on or that she felt the need to be so rigid and determined not have any special treatment because she was a woman. I get the concern, but there was too much focus on it.

This story wasn’t the kind of thing I normally read. A lot of it was told from the teenage daughter’s point-of-view, which I didn’t really care for, and there was a lot of family drama – tension between mother and daughter that I could have done without. But I feel like it was a solid story and I’m sure it’s a good continuation of yet another series that I’ve never read.

I really liked this story. The backstory provided in the story definitely made me want to go back and read the previous books in the series. The only thing I didn’t care for was the abrupt change of heart at the end. **SPOILERS** The heroine spent the whole book resisting the guy and then just comes to the realization that she loves him. Apparently they had only been together a few weeks and already he’s saying that he loves her with all his heart and wants to marry her and she’s saying the same and that she knows they’re forever. Kinda crazy, but it’s a short novella so these sorts of things tend to happen.

Nope. The whole on the run, kidnapping a woman along the way and end up falling in love thing really doesn’t work for me. Very rarely can I get through one of those books. And I tried with this one, because I really wanted to be able to read this whole collection of stories, but I just couldn’t bring myself to waste my time reading a story that I just do not like. If you like that trope, then you’ll probably like this story, at least based on what I read of it, but it wasn’t for me.

This story was sooo good! I really enjoyed it. I can’t wait to see what the rest of the series has in store but I have to wait until February 2016. I’ll definitely have to check out some of this author’s backlist. Usually I need romance in a book, just where I’m at in my reading and have been for some time, but there wasn’t any in this and I still loved it. Apparently Erica Spindler, another author I’ve never before read, writes romantic thrillers so I won’t have a problem there with the rest of her books.

If you read just 2 or 3 books you have gotten your money's worth. It is often the case with boxed sets t g at you buy for one book that is part of a series and only read that story. I bought this book for Allison Brennan and loved her contribution. She truly needs to step away from Lucy more often. Her book was more like her older books that made me a fan. It was great to see how the story began for Taylor and Baldwin in the book by J T Ellison. Ellison really worked to build slightly broken and interesting characters. Brenda Novak and erica spindler both used their books to introduce new series which I will pre-order when available. The book by Heather Graham followed the story in process of cafferty and Quinn but I missed the normal secondary characters. Finally I found a new author in Teresa Regan. I still have two stories to read. Finally I will admit that a few books were not to my liking but that is ok. After having tried those books in this set and not being satisfied, i will know to stay away from that author.

I've only had the opportunity to read one of these books but if any of these are half as good as Brenda Novak's Hannover House this is one amazing collection! I will be recommending this collection to everyone I know!

Evelyn Talbot is a survivor. After nearly escape death at the hands of a madman she has devoted her life to the study of serial killers and what motivates them. When she decides to open a prison for the worst of the worst in a remote location in Alaska she has no idea her past is about to catch up with her. Very thrilling with twists and turns on every page.

I enjoyed this book. It sounds like it's a prequel to an upcoming series. The characters are likable, but they leave a cliffhanger ending, which kinda bummed me out. It is a good story, though.

I just finished reading an advanced copy of the novella RANDOM ACTS from Erica Spindler and absolutely loved it! I have already pre - ordered the whole collection and cannot wait to read everyone else's stories! And I will definitely be purchasing the next books in the new series started in this collection from Erica!

A good book purchased for a good purpose. I had read several of these authors before, but most were new to me. I have added several of them to my TBR list. Some of the stories/novellas are better than others, but the book is an overall good read. It is a great introduction to 13 writers that you may or may not have read.

This was one of the best box sets I've read to date and the proceeds went to a worthy cause. The authors were also some of my favorites. There was plenty of suspense, action, and danger involved. Appreciate whoever took the time to put it together!

Erica Spindler's story was wonderful can't wait for the book! TJ Ellison's Taylor Jackson was amazing! I just love Taylor. Allison Brennan's story was excellent as usual as was Alex Kava's.

Maggie O'Dell's first case outside the walls of Quantico. The first of two prequels to the series. We learn a little of Maggie in this novella. Lots of other character names in this police drama that you can feel will be important in the future.
Twisted serial killers with only one solved. Chapters include the perspective from the serial killers head. Creepy. And diabolical.

Ivy DuLane witnesses a murder while on a Mardi Gras parade float. Detective Bennett Morgan helps her investigate whatever she truly saw and helps protect her when the murderer turns in her direction.
It was pretty awesome that the heroine jumps right off the float to help someone. Loved the "southern" drawl flavor of the story.
I read this as part of the sweet Dreams Boxed set.

Toys in the Attorney by Heather Graham
Members of the Krewe hunt a supposed supernatural event in Key West. Killer zombie nuns. A thriller. If not familiar with the Krewe, it can still be followed.
This one needs some better editing. I enjoyed the spooky suspense.
Dirty Deeds by Liliana Hart
Married and best friends (swoon). Sheriff and county coroner couple Jack and Jaye are on an island honeymoon but are asked for help in solving the murder of a local.
Funny, slightly sarcastic writing style in the dialog between Jack and Jaye.
They speak for the dead in their investigations.
This was my first actually reading of a Liliana Hart book though I have many in my tbr piles. I will push those higher in priority as I liked the interaction between the characters and the deep ethics and conviction of Sheriff Jack.

When a boy that Megan met disappeared, Lucy finds the local police don't seem to be calling in the resources that are called for in the situation. She and Megan are soon in the middle of the mess, but isn't that what's expected when the FBI is in town?
Poor Lucy. Just can't catch a break!
Secret Hideaway by Carla Neggers
Ellen and Maggie Galway, fraternal twins are in Saratoga Springs for a lecture that Maggie is giving on Jane Austin. When Luke Jackson shows up at the lecture and he and Ellen talk, they realize that Maggie is hiding something and their concern is the situation could turn dangerous.
A bit of romance in this short thriller where being a Texas Ranger is "all that".
Dead Man Running by Theresa Ragan
This one grabbed me immediately. Great writing skills with a bit of humor. A suspense filled novella.
Jason Caldwell has escaped from prison to try to prove his innocence. Angela Chack helps though his kidnapping her to star with doesn't really endear him to her. But he still on convinces her to stay and help.
Random Acts by Erica Spindler
Detectives Michaela Dee Dare and Carmine Angelo investigate murders in New Orleans. Dare thinks there is more behind the cut and dried case.
This is a true prequel in that ...spoilers follow....the bad guy is still out there, so cliff hanger. The first book in the series comes out early in 2016.
Turn the Tables by Tiffany Snow
Kade and Blane, from the Kathleen Turner series, as a prequel beforehand.
The sarcastic conversations between Kade and Mannie are hilarious. And even between Kade and Blane are pretty funny. Blane needs to give up his "man card". Ha.

I enjoyed this collection of short stories, with several of them making me want to follow up on some of the authors' other works. The off putting thing about this ebook version was the poor editing, with numerous typos and grammatical errors. Other than that, as it was for a good cause (diabetes research), I could could overlook that in this instance.

Aim to Kill-Allison Brennan amazes me every time I read one of her works, and I have read nearly all of them. I like her style of writing, and her stories and books are very exciting. I highly recommend this author to anyone who hasn't read anything written by her. I was trying to keep all the crimes, past and present, straight, and tried to remember how they were all connected. The perps were caught, and Matt Elliott found the one he wants to be with. Frankly, I wish real relationships were as simple as she makes them sound in her stories and books.
Until Death-This story was good, but slightly gory, the way the author describes the final scenes. And the way she (the author) writes about Ivy and Bennett's relationship is amazing.
Crossed-This story was excellent. A serial killer who targets girls from the same university. Has brain cancer, and believes he will father the Messiah. Ends up being shot. Taylor receives a wound that leaves a scar. The baby ends up being a girl.
Toys in the Attic-The author is good, the story not so much. I was never a fan of creepy dolls, or clowns. This story was weird, and didn't quite make sense until the end.
Hanover House-Wow! Brenda Novak really did a great job on this prequel story. I am excited to read the series.
Dirty Deeds-This story was good, and I might read more by this author. I like that it takes place on a small island, because I like small towns. But I couldn't live in one.
Before Evil-This story was gruesome, but an excellent read. I enjoy FBI thrillers.

Secret Hideaway-I didn't enjoy this story as well as some of the others in this anthology. It moved along sort of slow, and the ending seemed anti-climactic to me.
Dead Man Running-A woman walks in to work one morning, to find that one of the corpses is still alive. Jason is out to prove his innocence, and takes Angela with him. He travels back to where he was convicted, and along the way, they fall in love with each other.
Random Acts-This story was a really good one. I had no idea it was the prequel to the start of a series, which I'm looking forward to reading.
Without Malice-This story was a little blah. I prefer working in the department of corrections than just reading about it.

I'm finally finished with this long anthology. I think the fact that it was over 2000 pages as a whole was intimidating. And reading this shouldn't have taken as long as it did, but the stories were still great.
