Amir Tsarfati was born in Israel and has lived there most of his life. Since fulfilling his mandatory service in the Israeli Defense Force, he has continued as a major in the IDF Reserve. Amir has been a tour guide in Israel for the last twenty years, and served as chief tour guide of Sar El Tours and CEO of Sar El Tours and Conferences. In 2001, he became founder and president of Behold Israel – a non-profit organization which provides worldwide real-time access to reliable sources of news and information about Israel from within the powerful context of Bible history and prophecy.

Amir is married to Miriam, and together they have four children. His home overlooks the valley of Megiddo (Armageddon) which is a constant reminder of the call that the Lord has placed on him to teach from the Bible what God’s plans are for the end of times.

Riveting. The physical dangers were as pronounced as the spiritual ones, as the Jewish characters struggle with the reality they can't protect themselves from a five-country axis, including Russia. Nir remembers warnings he received from his Christian girlfriend before she disappeared.

"The Disappearance" is what it is dubbed. The Rapture occurred one year ago and tensions within Israel are at fever pitch as their enemies unite to invade. It's ominous and frightening especially as Israel's closest ally, the USA, have withdrawn their support because they've got their own worries to focus on.

Nir Tavor and his team are desperate to find someway to stop the inevitable. The first half of the book features Tavor and his CARL team leading missions in an attempt to confuse Russia, to bring disharmony amongst its partners. The missions are brutal and decisive.

The authors allow us to grieve with Tavor as he reminisces about Nicole, who had tried so desperately to bring him to Jesus before the miraculous event whisked her and millions of others away to heaven. Clearly, the authors believe the prophetic words of Ezekiel 38 and 39. I appreciated seeing Tavor grieve as we gain an appreciation of his heart and longing for Nicole. He's torn understanding what actually occurred at The Disappearance and it makes him wonder about the foretelling of what happens next as the Old Testament book depicts. Will God step in to save Israel?

I also appreciated the family time both with Tavor's family and the CARL team as the deadline for the invasion fast approaches.

The last third of the book is tense as decisions need to be made by Israel. Will they stand and fight or stand and pray?

We gain an insider's view of the goings on within the enemy camps as Trip, an America freelance photographer, is positioned with a bird's eye view of the Israel border as the invasion begins.

What happens next is thrillingly depicted by the authors. It's visually spectacular and violent.

It's a story of God's faithfulness to a covenant He made centuries ago to a nation. How will Nir and his team respond to another supernatural interruption? We will need to wait to next book in the series to find out.

Rapture enthusiasts will enjoy this book. The action is very good and the escalating tension keeps you on your edge of your seat.

This is a page turner! A fictionalized story of true events to come. Makes prophecy come alive and current events more meaningful.
Immediately turned to Ezekial to read chapters 38-39 when I finished.
This book, received from Goodreads, is a 5 star!

I’ve followed this series from day one and will continue to until the end. Amir and Steve do a great job of portraying the emotions and internal battle to believe in God, even when they know He’s moving. I like there interpretation of Ezekiel 38 and 39. I’m looking forward to what else the series has next!

Having read the entire Nir Tavor Mossad Thriller Series, I couldn’t wait to start this new series, featuring characters I’ve grown to love. For clarification, Mossad is Israel’s national intelligence agency, responsible for covert operations and counterterrorism. Book three of the Mossad series ended with the Rapture, now called “The Disappearance.” As The Next War starts, much has changed, including the collapse of the United States as a world power.

From an ops mission into dangerous territory in the U.S., then later Turkey, to strategy discussions at Mossad headquarters in Tel Aviv, the plot threads across the globe and shifts between adrenalin-filled action, political intrigue, quirky character interaction (Nir’s team of analysts), family drama, and Biblical teaching.

I’m drawn to these books because of the depth of character development, something I never expected to find in a military thriller. Weapons details sometimes fly over my head, but the action always keeps me on the edge of my seat. My favorite moments are when Nir and his ops team, plus his group of brilliant but eccentric analysts gather to discuss strategy. It’s hard not to love a group of people who buy silly hats for a life-size replica of Chewbacca, or tag their bosses with names like “chunk” (for a slightly overweight director) and “mrsunshine” (for Nir, their boss) on text exchanges.

From the start of the Mossad series, Nir has been struggling with his religious beliefs and his relationship with God. That’s especially true now since the woman he loved—a Christian who tried to tell him about Jesus and the coming Tribulation—has been taken in the rapture. He begins to see things she told him would happen unfold in real time, including nations aligning to eliminate Israel.

The last half of the book is particularly engrossing as the Jewish nation tries to decide if they should stand and fight against an allied army primed to bring genocide or pray and trust God to deliver them. I guarantee nail-biting—especially as Nir interacts with his family members, each with strong opinions on how to approach what could well be total annihilation. The “Ezekial War” of chapters 38-39 of the prophet Ezekial factor heavily into this part of the book.

While I enjoyed the heart-pumping action of early chapters, it’s really the last half of the book—strongly character driven—which resonated with me.

This is the launch of a brand new series, and while it helps to be familiar with the characters and events from the earlier Mossad series, it’s not necessary to enjoy the book.

If you like pulse-pounding action coupled with strong character drama and faith-based teachings grounded in scripture, I highly recommend this engrossing book.

This book is an eye opener for what is to come when God starts to set things right. I would suggest that if you have not read the series before this one, Nir Tavor Mosssad thriller, you should read it first. It will set up the characters that are in this series. I really like how the group at CARL interact with each other. They love and depend on each other--their lives depend on them doing so. As things got hopeless, Abba addressed his family in a dire moment and stated: "the weapons God has given us are not enough, the intelligence services are not enough, we are alone in this world. But we are not alone, The God of glory, He has not forgotten His people, He never abandoned them. Never! He has time after time shown Himself faithful. The people of Israel, members of this family, we will trust in the name of the Lord!" When all hope is gone, the whole country turns to God and PRAYS. And God saved them once again. This is a great book showing what is to come. Looking forward to the next book in the series. I will recommend this book to everyone that comes into our library.

The Next War was a really engaging start to the series. Amir Tsarfati and Steve Yohn blend geopolitical tension, prophecy, and fast-paced suspense in a way that kept me turning pages the whole time. The story feels timely without being overwhelming, and the action moves quickly while still giving enough attention to the characters and the bigger stakes at play.

What made this a five-star read for me was the atmosphere of urgency throughout the book. Even during the quieter moments, there’s this constant sense that something major is coming. Fans of prophetic thrillers and end-times fiction will probably fly through this one. It definitely left me wanting to jump straight into the next book.

I had a really hard time getting into this book and its storyline. There were too many characters throughout to keep track of while going through the chapters. I had to keep turning to the character reference list to keep track of the 30 different Israeli characters, 3 Americans, and 6 neo-Russian resistance characters on top of the Iranian, Turkish, South African and Russian characters. I honestly had high hopes for this publication but the book fell flat for me. I have read many of Amir Tsarfati's books and I think I will stick with the non-fiction writing. At the front of the book was a glossary of Hebrew, Russian and Turkish vocabulary. I felt like I had to be schooled with so much vocabulary in various languages peppered throughout the book.

An interesting read, for sure. If you agree with Amir's end-times doctrine (which I basically do) you will find the contents of this book much more palatable to your taste. It wasn't a "page-turner" for me, but it was a very interesting take on the rapture (referred to as "The Disappearance") and the setting of the stage for the Ezekiel War. One challenge I faced while reading the book, which actually led me to refer to web searches, was that the authors periodically used phrases from Hebrew or Russian. Not a big deal. It just slowed me down in the process. Perhaps one weakness of the book is the use of some words that in the church culture would be considered crude language.

As a whole, I enjoyed the book.

Oh my goodness, this book The Next War, was absolutely amazing!!! So exciting from beginning to end!!! Amir Tsarfati and Steve Yohn are amazing writers and I can’t say enough how much I enjoyed this book. Nir never disappoints. It’s sad that Nicole isn’t in the book, they made an amazing couple but I am so thankful that he’s figuring out God and all Nicole had shared with him about Him. I truly can’t wait for the next book!!! This and the other Nir Tavor series have been a major favorite for me!!! God bless Amir and Steve as they write the next book in the series! ❤️🙏🏼❤️

I struggled to get into the book and its storyline until about halfway through, largely due to the 40 characters with uncommon names and the use of several different languages. While the reference list in the front was helpful, it required constant flipping back and forth, which slowed my progress. Additionally, because I was reading other books simultaneously, I only managed a chapter or two at a time, often with several days between readings. Once I moved further into the story, however, things became easier to follow, and I ultimately enjoyed the book.

This author is a favorite, and this book deserves a 10 star rating! My husband is reading it now, and I purchased several copies for friends to pass around. The description is so accurate, unlike any other book I have ever read. It was a thrilling, thought provoking, educational read that I highly recommend to everyone! I'm looking forward to his new book.

Excellent series. I believe I gave all the other books a 5 star. This was action packed but it was missing the witty back and forth of the previous books without the character Nicole as a main character. I will definitely keep reading this series.

Excellent!! Went back and reread Ezekiel 38 & 39. I always thought it would be Russia, Iran, and China. I never thought of Turkey. Eye opening.
