Nightfang: The Moon Touched Chronicles

Rate this book
I escaped from monsters and ran straight into the arms of my soulmate.

This new world is very different from the one that I know. Beasts live within every person here and I am just a weak human who was given a one way ticket into this place and shook everything up.

I have magic in this world.

Powerful magic that was gifted by The Moon.

Magic that can help my Mate and his people overcome a devastating obstacle that they are facing.

If, I can learn to control it.

But navigating this new world comes with its own challenges and not everyone is eager to accept me into the pack.

It isn’t long before I learn that someone’s bark can be just as dangerous as their bite.

Nightfang is the first book in the Moon Touched Chronicles trilogy. Each book follows a different couple, but should be read in order. The Moon Touched Chronicles feature protective wolf shifter MMCs and their human mates. Mature content intended for readers 18+.

I went into this expecting a fun, steamy shifter romance, but Nightfang delivered so much more. The writing was smooth, the pacing quick, and the characters full of depth. The heroine starts off feeling out of place, just a fragile human surrounded by strong wolves, but watching her discover the magic the Moon gifted her was both exciting and emotional. It’s rare that a paranormal romance gets me emotional, but this one had its moments.

What I appreciated most was how Ellis didn’t shy away from showing the darker side of pack politics. Not everyone is thrilled to welcome an outsider, and the tension this created felt real. I found myself almost yelling at some of the side characters for the way they treated her. It made her eventual victories all the more satisfying.

That said, I will admit some of the pacing in the middle felt a little stretched, especially during the training sequences. But the payoff in the climax was worth it. The mate was protective but not overbearing, which I really liked. Sometimes alpha wolf heroes can veer into toxic territory, but Ellis balanced him well dominant, yes, but respectful and tender with his partner.

Definitely recommend to anyone who loves shifters with a fresh magical twist.

This was my first read from this author. This was a bit different from other shifter romances I’ve read, but not in a bad way. The world Ruby Ellis created felt fresh and intriguing, a human heroine thrown into a supernatural world full of wolf shifters and moon-given magic. I found myself wanting to see how Rowan would handle this sudden change to her life.

This one was spicy and the tension kept me reading. My only wish is that it had been a little longer so there was more time to explore the world and its magic system in depth.

Overall, Nightfang is an engaging start to the Moon Touched Chronicles, and I’ll definitely be checking out the next book in the series!

Loved this! It is a total vibes read, which was exactly what I needed at the time! A human woman is transported to a world of shifters where she finds her soulmate and unlocks magic within herself. This book is full of humor and spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️. Rowan and War's story was a great introduction into this world.

I think the second book is releasing soon and I can't wait to continue the story from another couple's point of view. We got glimpses of the book 2 MMC in the first book and I am already in love. Hot, wolf shifter nerd? Sign me up!

I finished Nightfang last night. This isn't my typical genre, but I picked it on KU because I like Ruby on TikTok. I think this might be my first time reading a shifter romance. (Definitely my first read with the knotting trope 😂). I do love the fated mates trope though, and thought this was a fun read. I was able to finish it in just two evenings!! I love a magical world intertwined with modern day FMCs. It had a lot of unexpected twists. I also loved that it set up the conflict for the next book!

I liked the storyline but wish there was more. I’m sure when we get into the next book some of the questions will wrap up but i felt like the story abruptly ended. I had to go back to make sure i didn’t accidentally skip forward. I also wish they would get into the world a little bit more. it just felt incomplete,

Wolf shifter

I enjoyed this book. It was like your classic Wolf shifter, romance that I haven't read in such a long time. It had the pull snd it had the insta-love, and I really appreciated the fated mate tropes, as well as the different world. It's like Outlander meets werewolf meets alternate universes, just fantastic, five stars

I had such a great time reading this book! The story is a fast-paced, romance driven, tale about a woman who finds herself living with wolf shifters, honing her power, and helping her new pack. What's not to like? This is the perfect first installment of a series, as you will be invested in the world that the author creates and on the edge of your seat about what comes next for these characters.
