Wild Love

A hockey romance full of heat, heart, and one very off-limits crush.

Farrah D’Angelo has always followed the rules.

The youngest, and only daughter, in a loud, overprotective Italian-American family, she’s used to living under watchful eyes and strict expectations. But when she crosses the border for a weekend in Vancouver with her brother’s best friends, she’s ready for just a taste of freedom.

She didn’t expect that taste to come with a Remi Scott, rookie forward for the Vancouver Wild, fan favorite, and completely out of her league.

What starts as a stolen glance across the ice turns into something electric. He’s charming, surprisingly shy, and absolutely off-limits. She’s got a family who would kill him and a future she’s not allowed to want.

But rules were made to be broken. And Farrah is done playing it safe.

If loving him means risking it all, maybe it’s time to bet on herself.

What's not to love about this book, between our strong willed FMC, disfunctional family dynamics, the forever supportive MMC just one call away and a satisfying ending as the cherry. As someone who related to Fair, the book definitely hit all the feelings. I really loved her standing her ground and chasing the life and love she deserves. It also handles mental health issues in a meaningful and respectful manner. Thank you Jade for the opportunity to be an ARC reader.

A cute hockey romance with a very strong independent FMC and a gorgeous MMC who was always just a call away - which we highly approve of

The family dynamics and friendship groups were fun to read and the characters were well developed and easy to relate to - except the mom!! (she's a bit of a nightmare)

"We are here to be entertained not the entertainers" was a mom quote when our FMC wanted to be a dancer

There's plenty of diversity represented in this book with these characters and a good amount of mental health awareness too.

I would recommend this to any romance readers

Thank you Jadelynn Harris for the ARC opportunity

I do love a hockey romance and this book delivered! it wasn't very spicy but the plot and story was amazing! Our FMC is very strong willed and independent with our MMC who is always there and supportive. I enjoyed the friendship groups and the family dynamics, the characters were all well developed.

⚠️check triggers before reading book⚠️

This book was an amazing book. Although this was a love story that wasn't the main focus. There was no third act breakup which I loved. Farrah and Remi were perfect for eachother. Remi was exactly who Farrah needed to finally be herself and set free. This book dealt a lot with familiar relationships. Although both of Farrah's parents come from wealthy backgrounds the mother Sienna came from a wealthier family then the dad (I dont think his name was mentioned). This meant that Siennas family was not a big fan of Farrah's dad (well call him D'Angelo (last name)) but they ended up getting married because Sienna was pregnant. They had a total of 6 kids. Farrah who was 23 in the book was the youngest and only girl. Sienna wanted all the children to marry in their "class". Rich, important, good background. This book shows the journey of Farrah realizing the emotional and mental she has endured due to her mother's expectations of her and her brothers. As well as the struggles of having 6 over protective men (5 brothers and her dad) who didn't want her to get married, go anywhere without their approval. She lived a very smothering life. Along the journey of this book she started to push against Sienna's wants and wishes. But she also pushed against her father and brothers control. There was so many emotions in this story pain, anger, fear, happiness, freedom. Farrah went on a journey to find herself what she really wanted in life, how she wanted her life to be, who she wanted in it and most importantly what she wouldn't put up with or accept anymore. Remi was the one who supported her, kept her going and encouraged her to take her life back. Farrah also realized that although she had friends they weren't her friends they were her brother Oliver's friends. So we got to see this beautiful journey of finding her own friends who supported her, helped her, and where always there for her. This book I think really show cased what has been going on a lot in our modern day world which is a lot of children going no contact with their parents because they won't take the emotional/mental abuse anymore as well as the constant criticism on how they should live their lives. I think it also showed that you don't have to be in a good place mentally or physically to be loved and to be in a relationship. It showed that a good partner can help you get out of your situation and support your mental health. This book had great mental health rep and trauma rep. It showed how complicated families can really be and that sometimes the best or only answer is to cut contact. I rated this book 1🌶 because although there was some foreplay on page it was not explicit or extremely descriptive and it faded to black. The ending of the book left me reeling. It was not how I expected it to end but I hope in the next books in the series we get more closure. Overall a great emotional book.

I loved this story.

Hockey romance, a strong and independent FMC, an MMC down bad for his girl. What else could you ask for? Truly.

I could relate so much to the FMC and her struggles to gain independence. It allowed me to connect deeply with the characters and the story. I also loved the variety of characters that all felt well-developed and real. The relationship dynamics were explored in depth yet the plot kept moving, keeping me engaged and wanting to turn the page every time.

I highly recommend this to any hockey or contemporary romance lovers & I cannot wait to read more from Jadelynn Harris!

Born into privilege but not freedom, the author crafts a compelling FMC — resilient, intelligent, and determined to carve her own path, even when it means challenging everything she’s known. What makes this story sing is the steady presence of a love interest who doesn’t try to fix her, but stands beside her as she navigate the path to independence. They complements each other without overshadowing, providing emotional balance rather than distraction. With strong character development and hope, this story delivers both heart and depth.

Im grateful for the ARC opportunity.

Hockey Romance
Strong independent FMC
Supportive MMC
Mental health rep.

All good for a solid story that has some deep feelings.

Farrah is dealing with a mother who is controlling and family expectations but she is trying to forge her own way in life without that controlling influence, its not easy.
Farrah has some really supportive friends and then she finds Remi, a shy hockey player who slowly becomes her biggest support. Feelings develop and her independence is slowly formed.

Overall its an enjoyable read.

oh boy I was not anticipating feeling so much rage towards a fictional family but here we are! I wanted Farrah to absolutely RIP into her family for making her feel so less than and not hearing her wants and dreams. she was so mild compared to how I wanted her to be but I’m so happy she has her own created support system and found family in this series. I cannot wait to dive into the next book and even go back to see Tegan grow into her character. Remi is a sweet angel baby.

This book is an ice hockey romance which I will always love, about a girl with a very very overprotective family, falling for a hockey player. I enjoyed reading this book, the fmc's family really got on my nerves but I think that was by design 😂 the fmc was so sweet and it was such a sweet read 🫶🏻

such a fast read! like i could not put it down!

farrah is going through so much, parental control and manipulation is the core of this book and to see her stand up for herself and do things that she loved and made her happy was amazing.

her relationship with remi is pure, loving, and caring. they’re each others rock and have such an amazing connection. a definition of young long.
