A refugee of a war that freed me from my three-year imprisonment.
And now, the last line of defense against a fae god who threatens my home.
Oberon wants to make a deal with me.
If I come to him, if I surrender my magic, he’ll let me go.
Except we all know that’s a lie. My seven mates and I can feel the trap buried beneath every word and promise.
We will go to Oberon, but not to surrender.
We’re going to end him.
To do that, I’ll have to unearth truths about my bloodline I never dared imagine, return to the land that carved its cruelty into my skin, and wield the kind of power I once feared. It will take every drop of our magic, every tether of our mate bond, to save the Horde—the only home I’ve ever known.
To win this war, I’ll have to become exactly what I always Poisonous.

*Reverse Harem *Paranormal *Multi-1st-PoV *Unique FMC *Mixed Supe Harem *Protective MMCs *FMC with trauma *Established Harem (7) *Slow Burn Series *Book 4 / 4 Worth the wait 😀 Such an epic series - the character development in Maize is incredible, you see her bloom from a frightened and isolated being to someone who understands their worth power and what it’s like to have family 🥰 Her seven men are all unique characters with different powers yet each are crazy possessive over her and mix together really well to compliment her and her powers …. There’s a lot of seggsy scenes in this book as well to really help Maize connect with each of her men after the trauma they’ve faced 🔥 The overall plot line with Oberon moves quickly in this one as they prepare to face him down - it has the last battle scenes you expect (nothing unexpected or outrageous!) and then there is plenty of after HEA scenes that really showcase their romance and the connections across the Horde Universe 😍
Maize is back, and it's was so worth the wait. The growth she has done is absolutely amazing. The battle is perfect and that's all I'm going to say. I loved every moment of this story. It was perfect
This book felt like the moment you’ve been bracing for since the very beginning of the series — the kind of ending that hurts a little because it means letting go, but also feels deeply satisfying because every battle, bond, and sacrifice matters. Maize’s journey has never been easy, and Loving Fae doesn’t soften that truth. She’s fierce in a way that’s been earned through pain, loss, and relentless perseverance. Watching her step fully into who she is — without apology — was one of the most rewarding parts of this finale. Her strength isn’t loud or perfect; it’s forged, tested, and unmistakably hers. What truly sets this book apart, though, is the emotional weight behind the relationships. The love here isn’t simple or effortless — it’s protective, messy, loyal, and grounded in trust built over time. The bonds between Maize and her mates feel lived-in and real, and the found-family element adds heart to every high-stakes moment. These aren’t just romantic connections; they’re lifelines. The world itself feels dangerous and alive, filled with ancient power, looming threats, and choices that come with consequences. The pacing keeps things moving without sacrificing emotional depth, balancing action with quieter moments that let everything sink in. When the final conflicts unfold, they feel earned — not rushed, not easy, but necessary. Loving Fae is a strong, emotional conclusion to a series that never shied away from darkness, love, or sacrifice. If you’ve followed Maize’s story from the start, this book delivers the closure you’re hoping for while staying true to the raw, magical heart of the series.
Action, Answers, and Plenty of Spice: A Satisfying Finale for Maize and Her Men
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️
It’s been a minute since we’ve spent time with Maize and her crew, as they’ve spent much of the final boss fights on the periphery. We pick up right where we left Maize—trapped in her own mind by Oberon with the connection to her mates blocked. Never wanting to experience that feeling of loss again, Maize and her men decide it’s time to take the fight to Oberon.
The battle to defeat Oberon and the hunt for answers move at a quick pace throughout this finale in the Lost in Fae series. Yet, the real story is Maize's personal growth. Finally uncovering the truth of her existence, while evolving from merely accepting her deadly magic to fully embracing her true power.
There are plenty of smexy scenes between Maize and her collection of men, solidifying their connections as individual couples and as a family. Despite literally being in a fight for their lives, M. Sinclair manages to include the spicy bits without them feeling forced.
Once the dust settles, we earn a glimpse into the HEA the group has achieved as a “normal” everyday family. I’m hoping this isn’t the end of the Horde Universe—fingers crossed that the prophecy surrounding Maize’s brothers signals that a Four Horsemen era is on the horizon.
I received an ARC book in exchange for my honest review. Check out my reviews.
“Loving Fae” is by far the spiciest book in this series, but with 7 mates it’s important to give all of them their moment to “shine”. I enjoyed the minimal drama in the relationship building throughout the entire series for once. Even Charm who wasn’t all that charming at first has warmed up quite soon and honestly became one of my favorite men. One of, since Valerio and Zed are definitely at the top of the list.
I love the connections between so many different series in this shared world, and the build-up to the next generation with Maize’s four brothers. This book closes Maize’s part of the bigger storyline, but it opens up some very interesting possible ways for the future.
I actually started this series a few days ago as preparation for the final book, and I have to say it has a different feel to it compared to this author’s more recent work. I’m not sure if it’s just this one, or if her style has evolved over the years, but it would be a fun thing to explore further. I’ve always been considering finally picking up Vegas’s story, and this series definitely made me more excited to do so.
I have been in love with the horde universe series for YEARS and to see each fmc’s story come to a close time and time again squeezes and warms my heart! Out of everyone Maize has been THROUGH IT and this felt like a perfect and beyond deserved conclusion!
I loved how intense this final book started out, not skimping out on the action but rather diving head first right out of the gate and my interest never dwindled. Their character growth makes me feel like a proud mom?? They’ve genuinely come so far and seeing Maize especially step fully into herself and embrace it all is the closure I need to close the chapter on this first phase of the Horde.
All the men have only continued to show up for Maize and be the partners she need while of course being sexy, possessive, and utterly obsessed with their girl (because it’s not M. Sinclair if that doesn’t happened)
I’m still in a dreamlike state knowing it’s over but seeing my other beloved horde characters make their cameos and the extended epilogue ease that pain!
Thank you so so much M. Sinclair for the opportunity to read an advance copy of Loving Fae! I can’t wait to see what comes next!
Definitely felt like if you haven't read the other one's in a while, it may take you a minute to catch up again, but we take of right where we left of in the 3rd book. The story's pacing is quick and filled with action, suspense and is so easy to follow along. It'll pull you in.
I loved seeing how much Maize has grown from the first book and how she has truly come into her powers. M Sinclair's stories are always well developed, and this one was no different!
I think compared to the rest of the books in the series, this was the spiciest one - like a 3/5 for spice rating - but with 7 mates, it definitely makes sense! and i felt like each mate M Sinclair definitely did an amazing job of showing us each one got their moment with her!
The ending to Maize's story is a touch bitter-sweet (only because I can't believe its over), but I loved the multiple epilouges! this was a fantastic conclusion to this series.
It has been awhile since we were in the world with Maize and her mates and since I didn’t read the previous books again before starting this one it took me a minute to catch myself back up and it comes very quickly back to me. We quickly see Oberon trying to force Maize into making a decision that honestly she doesn’t want to do. The story quickly develops with action, drama, and suspense. The story quickly pulls you in and doesn’t let go. You absolutely have to find out how it all ends for Maize and her mates. We see so much growth in Maize and her self esteem in this one. As usual with one of M. Sinclair’s stories it is extremely well written and developed. The descriptions are vivid to all you to easily picture what is occurring throughout the story. The ending was beautiful and this was an amazing conclusion to a fantastic series. Absolutely a fantastic read!
Watching Maize go from that frightened, isolated girl we first met to a total powerhouse who finally owns her magic was so incredibly satisfying. She didn’t just accept her power; she became it, and
I loved every second of her growth. Her relationship with her seven guys is just as intense and possessive as ever, but it felt deeper here. The spicy scenes weren't just there for the sake of it, they felt like a way for all of them to finally breathe and heal together after everything Oberon put them through. I really appreciated that the ending didn't just stop at the big battle; getting to see them actually live their "normal" everyday lives as a family was the closure my heart needed.
I’m sad to say goodbye to this crew.If you’ve been following Maize’s journey, this is the perfect, emotional send-off she deserved
This book came at the right time… i just finished book 3 of this series and didn’t have to wait too long for Loving Fae. I fell in love with Maize all over again. I related to Maize really well. And I love how she’s similar to Nova as far as who what she is… but as opposed to Nova always being surrounded by her men… Maize had to overcome the thought of being poisonous to the ones she loved most.
Loving Fae got me because so much of what she was experiencing was in the dream world and how do you fight your subconscious? But, they were able to bond properly and beat the bad guy. And the way he became undone, I loved it. Definitely a satisfying way to watch evil be destroyed. I also really enjoyed the epilogues in this book and I’m so hoping that we will get the story of her brother’s and Vegas’ little one sooner than later.
The ending of this series is definitely bittersweet. Maize deserves EVERY bit of happiness her guys give her. The epilogues (yes, multiple!!) did an amazing job giving us closure for her and the family and the best part is, it was written from multiple points of view and not just the FMC's.
The Horde is one of my favorite M Sinclair worlds, and honestly I'm kind of sad to see it end... for now. She did leave quite a few spots for potential stories for the future of The Horde and I'm super excited to see where that may lead. I'm also really glad that Vegas and her guys made quite a few appearances throughout this series (can you tell they are my favorite???)
ANYWAYS, if you're into OTTJP, morally grey, psychotic men and a badass but broken FMC, this is definitely the series for you.
Ms. M gives us the absolutely epic finale to the Lost in Fae series!! Maize's story with her 7 mates continues from where book 3's cliffhanger left us dangling and completely continues to rock the gods, Fae and everyone else as they prepare to face Oberon and his most loyal soldier, Zagon. How they get from here to their hard won HEA requires diving into this beautifully written book with complex characters and plot twists that keep you guessing and turning pages throughout! Despite having to say goodbye to a series that I couldn't help but fall in love with, I absolutely loved reading this story and highly recommend the series (and all of the interconnected series's). Don't miss out on this book!!
Okay, so I just read all four books so I could give an honest review. I went without sleep. I hated every minute I was at work. And the kids were finishing their winter break.
I read all four in three days. I literally did not want to stop reading. From the beginning to the end, a complete masterpiece. I am in awe of Maize's growth.
Each man holds a special place and their voices are so distinct. Even without the chapter header, I could tell you who was speaking.
M. does an amazing job with her Horde conclusions. Vegas made me clap, Nova had me shouting, Lorcan made me celebrate, but Maize made me cry. She deserves this happy ending.
I will say to enter this world at your own risk. Bills need to be paid and this world is addicting.
Loving Fae was the epic conclusion to the Lost In Fae series! Everything has been leading up to this final fight with Oberon, and Maize and her men are ready to win or die trying. Maize has truly come into her own throughout this series and her character growth has been a fav of mine for an MFC of a series. She started off as so afraid of herself but now she sees the power she is able to exude. Her seven mates are also the perfect partners. Each have their unique support for her and show her how important she is to them. The ending was exactly what we all could have hoped for and more for Maize and her men. I feel like this world is not done with us yet, so I look forward to more adventures in this ever expanding adventure!
Loving Fae was everything I had hoped for with this series conclusion. Short, sweet, action packed (but not rushed) and chock full of thoughtful and possessive MMCs that make you swoon and protective friends and family that will have your heart grow three sizes bigger. And that last battle scene?! Legendary! Especially Lu and Sy who honestly have been the most amazing familiars a woman could ever ask for, there for Maize and her mates every step of the way.
All of M Sinclair's FMCs have had to battle to find their HEA, but Maize especially has been through so freaking much and seeing her finally love herself and feel loved brought tears to my eyes.
I haven't been waiting as long as some M. Sinclair fans for this conclusion, but I can tell you it was absolutely well worth the wait! Maize and her men have a special place in my heart and I'm so proud of her progress with opening up and trusting her mates! I am obsessed with the Horde Universe and can't get enough! I truly hope this isn't the end for the Horde Universe and I hope we get some standalone stories for closure on some of the side characters! But, even if we don't, I still feel like this story and this world are well worth the read! 💖
Loving Fae is the fourth and final book in the Lost in Fae series. It is a paranormal/fantasy, why choose romance with plenty of action and intrigue.
This was such a terrific finale to this series. I loved Maize and all of her mates. I loved the tension and the spice. I adored seeing Maize's growth throughout the series and I absolutely loved the way everything wrapped up.
The writing, pace, flow, characters, and plot were all amazing, as were the character development, relationship development, storytelling, storyline, and world building. I could not have loved this series more and would definitely recommend it to lovers of all things Fae!
This was a good conclusion to this series. Maize conquers her fears, defeats the bid baddy, and confirms her parents. (I don't want to post spoilers...). We learn more about Maize and her mates, and more about Oberon. The book is a pretty quick read. You will want to read the others in the series first or it won't make sense.
I love the interconnected universe, and seeing the characters cross over. Little drops of lore and seeing how time progresses for everyone.
M. Loves us enough to give us epilogues so we can see a glimpse of the future and happiness. After all the pain and trauma, Maize deserves all the happiness. <3
The long awaited conclusion to a wonderful series, and it begins with Maize still being held captive in her own mind by Oberon, and her mates being unable to help. With little other choice, she makes a deal with Oberon, and he temporarily lets her go. When she’s able to wake up again the realization of how great Oberon’s power is and what it could grow to be when he’s released dawns on them all. That realization begins their journey on taking control and fulfilling the prophecy.
Seeing Maize and her mates growth in powers as well as emotions, both individually and as a group, and how it just strengthens their relationships throughout their arduous journey made for a great story. Everything we learned about each of them made me like them even more. I especially loved seeing the relationships with them and other members of The Horde Universe grow and develop and how everything played out together. While I’m sad that this is the last of the current phase of the shared universe, I’m glad we were able to finally see how everyone’s part played out, and we’re given extra epilogues to keep us satiated. For now.
Overall, this was an action packed, quick moving finale to a great story.
I love seeing Maize get her happy ending! She’s grown so much through this series, from the scared and self isolated girl she was, to the confidant happy woman she is now! Lots of wonderful steam! I love seeing her come together with all of her men. That “us against the world” theme is one of my favorites. It’s a big reason I read why choose so often. I love the Horde universe, and it’s always fun to get little glimpses of the other characters from the series. I’m not sure I could ever get tired of any of them! This books is fast paced with plenty of action, and a very satisfying conclusion! Well worth your time, as all M Sinclair’s books tend to be!
The finale to Maize's story is here! Any story that comes out of the Horde is always a favorite of mine and I've been patiently waiting for this one! Maize is finally getting some answers on her heritage and what her purpose is within the Horde. Along the way she has found and mated 7 incredible but slightly psychotic men who will follow her anywhere. This book tied up all the loose ends with Maize’s storyline while still leaving the world open for at least three more stories! As always there is good spice, laugh out loud moments, and enough action to send me hurtling towards that epilogue I’ve been eager for. I will patiently wait for anything Sinclair writes!
This was such a great way to end this series. And man was it jam packed with tension.
Maize having to go against Oberon was tough but I just knew she would find a way to over power him. And it was so satisfying when she did.
We got to see her relationship with her mates progress more as well & I absolutely the all together. But we also get to see her relationship with her brothers as well progress. That tid bit about the prophecy with them was a surprise but I feel like I would love their story.
I was so dang happy that Maize finally got her chance to rest, fully rest. And those epilogues were so dang cute!
With stories & worlds like these, I always want more of their future but this was ::chef’s kiss:: perfection.
I loved this series just as much as I loved the others in this Universe.
I am so excited for what ever you have next & I can’t wait!
The ending we have all be waiting for and it didn't disappoint. I have loved Maize and her men since Book 1; how can you not when you have seven handsome alpha males who would do anything to protect their mate, and a badass female who has overcome more than anyone ever should but still puts everyone else ahead of themselves. I love how M Sinclair creates strong characters that aren't afraid to also admit they are "human" and also have weaknesses and insecurities. Always good to see characters from the other Horde Universe series making appearances too.
I love Maize so much, and this was the perfect ending for the series!
Honestly, I liked Oberon, he's good force to go against Maize and her guys. Maize's self-confidence has progressed well, and it's good to see her opening up to the guys. I enjoyed seeing her mates grow with her. And, the guys? They're fantastic; they love her to bits and so protective, they'd set the world on fire and not care as long as she was safe with them.
That battle scene was amazing! Was great seeing some of the other Horde characters appearing throughout, I love character crossovers.
The conclusion to Maize’s story and a chapter in the Horde universe. Bittersweet for me, as amazing as this book is, it feels like an ending I wasn’t ready for.
As always with the Horde universe, I love seeing the characters from the other series and getting glimpses of them from a different lens. Such well-written characters, I’m in love with them all and eager for all I can get on all of them.
I also loved how this book didn’t end at the big finale but let us get several glimpses into life the happily ever after
Conclusion of Maize and her men's story. They are on a quest to find Oberon and put an end to him. This was a good ending to their story. Maize has come a long way from the first book and has grown as a character. Along the way, she has acquired brothers and friends who only help make her stronger. Ultimately defeating Oberon comes down to Maize and her power. It is quite the battle. I love that the story didn't end right after the battle and we get to see Maize settling into her place at the academy.
I adore all of M. Sinclair’s Horde universe characters. They are truly beautiful chaos. Each shows how broken people can help each other heal and find beauty and love within in their shattered pieces. Maze’s story is honestly lovely and a perfect end to the first Horde generation. The epilogue chapters were like delicious comforting sips of hot chocolate. I loved the glimpses we got of future generations, and I can’t wait to read more from this universe in the future.
M Sinclair has a way with words! I have been waiting for this conclusion to Maize and her mates. They have gone through so much turmoil and to get to see her get what she has always deserved feels amazing!
This is a very well written and satisfying end to her story! While i am sad it is over and wish for more as one does for any well written story I am happy with how this one ended. The Horde universe is fun to read and the other characters we have grown to love making an appearance is always fun!
I loved this series and love the balance it provides between spice and story!
Maize is back! I could not wait to dive into this final book of her story and I was not disappointed! M. Sinclair has created such an amazingly well developed world, with phenomenal characters and an absolutely riveting storyline. I loved every moment of this book! The action, the drama, the spice, the conclusion, all of it was put together so well. While I am sad to see the end of her story. I am happy with how is did end. This entire series has been an absolutely delight to read. Well written, well paced and oh so enjoyable. I am excited to see what we are treated with next!
Ugh!! This was such a great ending for Mazie and her men!!! I devoured this series so fast it was that good! This final book has everything and didn’t feel rushed at all! I love Mazie and her men so much and it was so nice to come back to this series and reconnect with them all and see their bond grow and see them all develop as individuals, especially Mazie and the darkness she had to revisit during this book. She is incredibly brave and deserves allll the love not only her men give her, but the love from her friends too. I highly recommend this book and finishing off the series!
