MAIN IMPRESSION
First off, I'd like to say that this book was amazingly well written. The author, I've always felt, has a beautiful way of twisting reality into descriptive, witty scenes. The things she brought to attention were so detailed, things you wouldn't think of, things that add personality to the pages and make the world a little more believable, because you can see it so clearly in your mind.
THINGS I LIKED
Marty was definitely my favorite! He was the most enjoyable character, the funnest, and the gentlest (besides the grannies, of course). Ana was my second favorite. I was secretly hoping that the two of them (Marty and Ana, I mean) might eventually see what a good couple they would make. :)
THINGS I DIDN'T LIKE
This is just my own personal opinion, but I tend to enjoy a more serious read. This book was very exciting, always kept me on my toes, and continued to draw my attention back to the book. However, there were several scenes that I found unrealistic, and there was also a constant humorous overtone to the story. The author did an amazing job with the humor, however, and it was all clean and good and enjoyable. Again, wonderfully well-written! Just not exactly the type of book I am used to reading.
LAST THOUGHTS
If you're looking for a fast-paced, action-packed, adventure-crazed book, then this is a must read! Definitely read the second book in the series! I enjoyed it so much, and found myself deeply attached to the characters. A great series!
