Crystal-Meth is just another regular country girl; she likes to work, likes to drink and likes to hangout with friends.
Crystal-Meth also likes to hunt perverts.
When she finds her targets, she wastes no time in exacting cruel punishment on her prey. When she gets wind that someone from her past has been released from prison and is back in town, Crystal-Meth has to make the hard choice between letting go of the past or taking dangerous revenge on her tormentor.
I received this as an arc from Jerry Blaze, To start god damn I loved this book, it's my second favourite by jerry blaze, its a story about a woman named Crystal who had a fairly fucked up life and damn it if she doesn't despise anybody that touches a kid violently or sexually Crystal is a fantastic character who I kinda fell in love with.... just a tad, sure she's fucked up but my god her motivation has a heart and a meaning. This one was kinda brutal and gory and epic! To reiterate, I loved this book and would recommend it!!
3.5 stars. I liked the premise and thought Crystal-Meth was a wonderful lead, but the story's pacing was not great. Everything whizzed by and made all of the pertinent plot points, i.e. Oz and Crystal's relationship, the Armstrong crew, and, most importantly, Crystal's trauma, seem like footnotes. Jerry Blaze really needed to romance his material quite a bit more and let it all organically flow. This just all felt like a sprint to the finish line. Again, I liked everything here, but that pacing...ugh...
Crystal-Meth such an unfortunate name for a woman. Crystal’s mother named her this because that was her only love and addiction. Crystal is now a grown woman and finds herself satiating her urges by going after pedophiles. She doesn’t go easy on them by any means. The kills are BRUTAL.
When Crystal learns that the man who abused her as a child is being set free from prison, she makes it her mission to go after this asshole and get the ultimate revenge.
I had a blast reading this novella! It was satisfying to see Crystal go after these sick pedo’s and give them what they ultimately deserve.
To have a mother who named you "Crystal-Meth" because she wanted to name you after what she values most; to go through the worst kind of abuse any girl can undergo, in the hands of five men, escape and keep silent about it; to grow into a self-reliant, independent woman full of rage and vengeance, enjoying torturing abusers to the death; does that make you a hero or a demented vigilante, a one-of-a-kind psychopath with the best alibi possible for the gory killings you have a soft spot for?
However you answer, you gotta make up your mind when your abuser manages to get out on parole. What do you do? Crystal-Meth knows what she's gonna do - she's gonna have a blast exterminating that sick pedo, and his sadistic friends!
In classic Jery Blaze style, this short novelette shakes up some feathers (cam sixteen really be the age of consent?) and gives some much needed purpose to some chainsaws! This is pulpy extreme horror with a message - highly recommended!
crystal-meth is a badass who kills disgusting men. i loved watching the sick fucks get exactly what they deserve. after all, dead pedophiles never reoffend.
Another masterpiece by Jerry Blaze. This story follows a girl named Crystal Meth who takes revenge on all pedophiles. It's brutal, gory, and includes all the elements of a good Blaze novella! Highly recommend!
Another fantastic read from Jerry Blaze Crystal-Meth is a woman seeking revenge from been raped as a child, but she also torturing and killing local child abusers in the most brutal ways
Amazing revenge novella by Jerry Blaze. I read it in one short go and couldn’t put it down. This is a great book where the girl gets her payback and boy does she ever.
Crystal-Meth was definitely given the short end of the stick in life. But that does not stop her from taking all that rage and putting it towards something.
I will never not read a “good for her” book and this one was exactly that!
By the end of this book I was cheering on Crystal Meth and her choice to give other girls and children a newfound freedom, and hopefully what was her “moving on” stage of life.
Jerry did a spectacular job writing such an impactful story in such limited space, and I can’t wait to read more by him!
Crystal-Meth by Jerry Blaze 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 This is a great and super intense short horror story! Crystal Meth has had a rough life and wants nothing more than to kill any men who pray on kids. She’s seeking revenge and blood for the pain inflicted on her when she was only 12. This story is deep, gory, and viscous! It’s a fast and super exciting read, from beginning to end!!
Thank you to Jerry blaze for an arc copy of this wildly fantastic novella! *It comes out January 10th. Grab your copy to feel the sweet revenge!*
This story was such a badass one! Crystal is not all she seems to be. She’s not exactly rainbows and sunshine to everyone but she’s not the kind of person you’d peg as a deranged psycho either. She found her purpose in life and it just so happens she’s really damn good at it! LOVED THIS!
Crystal-Meth has an unfortunate name and a sad past. Now Crystal is an adult and has a special job keeping the children safe. There are a lot of people who endanger the children . They better watch out Crystal is coming for them. Fast paced bloody read.
Crystal-Meth went through some trauma as a young girl and she is making it her mission to prevent harm to others by taking out the trash. Fast paced, edge of your seat tale of revenge and justice.
I know I can't be the only one with some intrusive thoughts that society has damped down, particularly when it comes to pedophiles and rapists. In Crystal-Meth, it seems like Jerry Blaze not only touches on the subject, but explores it entirely through this work of fiction.
I remember reading Stephen King's Essay about Why We Crave Horror Movies where he writes "as long as the alligator's are fed", referring to the darker parts of the human psyche. This book scratches that part of your brain - the part that thinks that pedophiles deserve much worse than two years in prison and back out in the public.
Imagine, if you will, a vigilante. Not the stereotypical superhero ones where they're restricted by some abstract morality that they can't really harm the criminal. Imagine a vigilante unleashed and that's this wonderful book.
It's definitely a book I will be rereading. It has plenty of that nostalgic '80s hack and slash gore, some crazy sexual scenes, and overall a very rewarding read at the end! I recommend this book to horror fans!
