There’s nowhere a realm walker can’t go. But there are places they shouldn’t.
For Clay Carradine, life has never been better. He’s living in a big house on the bay, learning magic from an expert, and growing closer with his lovely companions every day. He even has his dog back.
When Salem gets a new lead on a magical disappearance she’s been investigating for years, Clay is eager to offer his help. Yet their investigation in Gemma’s missing sister will take them to dark places neither wants to go... and even with Thea as their guide, they may not easily find their way out again.
I got 81 pages into this book, and I still don't recall a single thing of the previous two books in the series. And I read them this year, but clearly nothing stood out from what I read from those reviews I did. I feel lost and apathetic to the MC and the current LIs, and so I stopped reading.
Regardless of my criticism, at the end of the day this was a fun read and that’s what matters most. The third book was the best in the series (imo) while also being the most unsatisfying. It had that fun adventurous feeling that a lot of authors struggle to get right. The first two books went heavy on the sexual content and the plot barely moved along. While the third book barely had any spicy content after the first few chapters. That quantity of sexual content doesn’t matter it’s just that the whole book was a Salem tease and while the ending was climactic, it was disappointing at the same time.
We get some cool revelations in this one and we deepen a lot of of our relationships. Kinda a cool small plot in the middle and a cool Cameo from the Authors other series, I have not read that one as I normally don't read one off books and prefer series but there was plenty of info that I didn't feel like I was missing much from having not read it.
A truly unique and interesting way of how magic works. I've really enjoyed the slow progression in the world and family building. I can't wait till the next book comes out.
